BLACKLOCK, Elmer

With deep sorrow the family of Elmer Blacklock announce his passing at his home in Goderich on Tuesday May, 1, 2007 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Betty Blacklock. Loving father of Jean and Kathy & her husband Brett all of Milton. Loving Papa of Michael, Jonathan, Justin Cassandra and Paige, grandfather of Jerry and Keltie. Also survived by sister Barbara. A Memorial Service will be held at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St. Goderich on Saturday May 5, 2007 at 1:30 PM. Cremation has taken place. Interment of cremated remains to be held at a later date in St. John's Anglican Church cemetery , Cambellville Donations to the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital CT Scanner or the Canadian Cancer society gratefully acknowledged.

CHASE, Dr. Mary Morse (BA, MSW, PHD)
(April 19, 1936 - May 1, 2007)

Mary passed away peacefully in Oakville, after a courageous battle with cancer, which she fought with dignity and grace. She was the loving mother of Thomas Chase and dear sister of Frances Oldridge; beloved Aunt of Timothy Oldridge (Jayne), Sarah Luton (Ken), Margaret Chase, Jackie Loach (Ken), Amy de Traversay (Manu), Ben Holt (Jitka); sister in-law to Betsy Holt (Ed), Edward Chase (Eleanor), and the late Marguerite Baker (Langton). She will be fondly remembered by her many cousins, grand nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her brother, Mervin, parents Kate and William Morse, husband Jack Chase, and nephew Donald Chase. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to celebrate her life on Saturday, May 5th at 2:00pm at the Ward Funeral Home at 109 Reynolds St., Oakville, ON (905-844-3221) In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Wellspring would be appreciated by the family. Suddenly on Wednesday May 2, 2007 at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in his 62nd year. Gary will be greatly missed by his wife Mary, daughter Jennifer and grandson Jeremy, brother Brian and his wife Charlene, nephew Jason and his wife Megan, niece Tammy and her husband Brandon and great-niece Ava. He also will be missed by all his friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Saturday May 5, 2007 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville. Cremation. EVERSOLE, Margaret Sophia (Hardy) Plewes

Born January 20, 1913 to Eunice Olivetta Munro and Charles Ernest Hardy, Margaret died peacefully on April 20, 2007 at the Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington, with her family close by. Affectionately known as "Dee", she is survived by her daughters-in-law Cathy Plewes of Oakville, Ontario and Donna Plewes of Edmond, Oklahoma; step-daughters Marilyn Holmstrom, Nancy Ward, and Joanne Myers; grandchildren John, Kimberley, Amanda and Derek; nephews John Plewes of Naples, Florida and Don Plewes of Toronto, Ontario; niece Pam Schmidt of Napanee, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husbands Dr. Campbell Plewes and Dr. James Eversole; her sons James Plewes and Dr. John Plewes, and her daughter Mary Plewes; her sister Doris Hardy and her brother James Hawkins. Her courage in the face of so many losses and declining health, her sense of humour and love for her family will be treasured by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville. Husband, father, grandfather, and Irishman, Fenian. Murray whose storytelling and singing of Bing Crosby and John McCormack songs, was appreciated over the years passed away in his 85th year, early Tuesday afternoon on May 1st at Wyndham Manor, Reynolds Street, in Oakville. From his immediate family, Finn leaves behind, his loving wife of over 58 years, Kathleen (Meehan), formerly of Navan, West Meath, Ireland and now of Oakville, his children, Kathleen (Tearne), and her husband, Paul, of Markham, Una, (Blenkhorne) of Oakville, Bernadette and her husband, Michael Stephenson, Joseph and his wife, Patricia of London, Therese (Strong) of Naples, Florida and her husband, Paul, Vincent, his wife, Kathy (Callaghan) of Oakville, Grandpa of Amanda, Julia, Tom, Andrew, Therese, Brittany, Veronica, and Maria. Finn born in the Hill of Down, County Meath, Ireland, worked as a long time motor mechanic, who apprenticed his trade in and around Dublin, Ireland, and applied his talents and skills fixing cars in Birmingham, England, and Toronto and Oakville, Ontario For many years he was a dedicated machine attendant at General Electric, Oakville, Ontario. Finn liked to invent and construct folk art sculptures out of found materials and wood including commissioned interpretations of the crucifixion. Visitation at 12:00 -1:30 at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg Ontario. Mass of the Resurrection 2:00 PM. At St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Grafton, Ont. Father of Kerry-Lee Marie and William John and his wife Susan. Grandfather of Connor, Nicholas, Liam, Matthew and Joshua. Brother of Raymond (Evangline), Donald (Gwen), the late Alexander (Mary-Lee), Paul, Ann (Donald Carr), Colleen and Kathleen. Loving grandmother of Andrew (Denise), Corinna (Michael), Tamara (Shawn), Stuart, Melissa, (Pauline), Scott (Jaime) and Matthew. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. HARROP, Cedric

After a long struggle with prostate cancer, Dad died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on, Saturday, April 28, 2007 in his 84th year. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Laurel, for 59 very happy years. Dad was proud of his four children: Victoria Leigh Harrop of Guelph; Verle Margaret Harrop (Paul Steffler) of St. John's, Newfoundland; Carol Dorothy Pease of Kitchener; and Malcolm Cedric Harrop (Josepha DeLay) of Guelph. We love you Dad. Dad was also very proud of his 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cedric is survived by his brother Sam (Norma) Harrop of Fergus, and step-brother Laurie (Beverly) Durnan of Milton, and predeceased by brother David Harrop (1945) and step-brother Keith Durnan (2003). After cremation, interment will be at the Knowles family cemetery , Carholme, Norfolk County, Ontario. Cedric's family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service, which will be held at Dublin Street United Church, 68 Suffolk St. W. Formerly of Cornwall Ontario, slipped away peacefully at the Henderson Hospital, Hamilton, on Monday, April 30, 2007. Jane will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Dr. Louis Hebert. She was in her 82nd year. She will be lovingly missed by her children, Louis Paul Hebert of Montreal, Marie-Louise Marlow (Frank Nagy) of St. Catharines and Lorette Taylor (John) of Burlington. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her grandchildren Jason (Cassondra), Chad and Andrew Marlow and Orecia (Taylor) Reilly (Sean) and Alexis Taylor. Jane's legacy will go on in her four great grandchildren Makayla, Kiley and Aubrey Marlow and Liam Reilly. The former Jane Hyland is survived by her brother Frank Hyland (Nancy) of Toronto. A Memorial Service will be held at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 1 PM in the Chapel. Jackson, Cecil Henry
WWII Veteran, Corporal Canadian Infantry Corps (Irish Regiment)

In loving memory of Cecil Henry Jackson, born March 21, 1924 in Brampton, Ontario and passed away in Milton on April 30, 2007 at 83 years of age. Cecil is predeceased by his parents F.B. Jackson and Edna Jackson (nee Gowland), brothers James and Elwood and sisters Clara (Blakely) and Ida (Kitchener). Cecil is survived by his loving wife Mary (nee Cartwright) and his three children; Eileen (Dennis Cook) of Ajax, Arthur Jackson of Milton and Donna (Ken Hildebrant predeceased) of Oakville and his five adoring grandchildren; Meredith, Lindsay and Ian Cook and Scott and David Hildebrant. He is also survived by brothers George (Jeanne), Herb (Geordy), sister Della (Art Grice) and many nieces and nephews. Cecil was involved in St. John Presbyterian Church (Hamilton) in his younger days and attended Knox Presbyterian Church in Milton. Cecil also served his country with distinction, serving four years in Europe during WWII. His determined spirit, willingness to sacrifice for family and quiet sense of humour will be sadly missed by his family. Family and friends visited at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. Milton 905-878-4452 on Wednesday. The funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church 170 Main St. Milton on Thursday, May 3, 2007. Interment at Milton Evergreen cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
