At Ottawa on Wednesday June 28, 2006 in her 82nd year, Mary Camilla Gillies, daughter of the late John Angus Gillies and Catharine McGillis. Predeceased by her brother, Hugh of Ottawa and her sister, Anita Hannaway, of Vancouver. Survived by several nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews in British Columbia. Following cremation a Memorial Mass for the Dead will be held on Friday June 30, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church (corner of Cartier Street and Somerset Street West). Burial will be held at a later date in the family plot at St. Finnan's Cathedral in Alexandria, Ontario. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be thoughtful.

Daughter of the late Heinrich-Magnus Lubbert and his wife Elsa Erna Anna Lubbert-Isensee of Germany. Dear sister of Anna-Luise Meyer ( nee Lubbert ) of California, Ilsa-Amalia Campeau ( nee Lubbert-Isensee ). Aunt of Rita Epperson of California, Robert Henry Magnus Campeau of Guelph, Ontario, Giselle Louise Campeau of France and Jean Paul Campeau of Toronto. Hilde a longtime real estate broker with Canada Trust, was also an avid hobby farmer, raising lambs and chickens in Stittsville, Ontario. Home at last! Marion Mackie went to be with her Saviour on Saturday, June 24. Her 95 years here were characterized by a selfless interest in others. Those she touched were enriched and encouraged. She leaves her sister Elizabeth Gowling, nieces and nephews including Margaret Butler (Dell), Rona Luhmann, John Gowling (Brenda), Win Hibbins (Stan), Art Gowling (Debbie), as well as extended family. She was much loved and will be missed by many, including friends and staff at New Orchard Lodge. There will be no visitation, by request. Dear beloved wife of Dr. Joseph Bruce Marshall (deceased) and sister of William "Bill" Robinson of Sudbury and Edward Robinson (deceased) of Calgary. Loving mother of her only daughter Susan Jane (deceased), four sons and their wives: Drs. Joseph Marshall and Cathy (Broughton) of Thornhill, Peter and Trish (Mullen) Marshall, Ian and Jean (MacGregor) Marshall and Keith Marshall and Claudette David, all of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren: Adam (Sarah Burrows), Alyssa and Erik of Toronto; Allison (Tyler Grieve) and Ginny also of Toronto; Sara and Heather of Ottawa and Michele and Emilie of Ottawa and David (Janelle Conlan) now also living in Toronto. Helen was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan on May 15, 1914. She received her B.A. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1934 where she first met her husband. As a gracious and loving wife of Bruce, she lived in Saskatoon and then in Ottawa with a brief and exciting interlude in London, England. Elizabeth Anne (Beth) McDougall (nee McKay) - 06/22/2006

passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 21, 2006. Beth was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on January 23, 1935 to Ross and Kathleen McKay. She is predeceased by her parents and by her husband Jim McDougall. She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy Belanger (Ottawa) and Patti McDougall (Saskatoon); sons-in-law Mike Belanger and Ron Borowsky; three beloved grandchildren Wesleigh and Lisanne Belanger and Braedy Borowsky. Beth spent a life time caring about and looking after the people around her. She was an extraordinary mother, grandmother and friend. She lead a full and vibrant life right up until the very end and we are grateful for everything she has done to enrich our lives and to teach us about strength, dignity and support ("You got that right!") Caia Lee Miller - 06/28/2006

Peacefully in hospital in Montreal on Wednesday, June 28th 2006, in her 35th year. Caia Miller, beloved daughter of June and the late David Miller, dearest sister of Sean, was predeceased by her grandparents George and Constance Miller and Ed and Sara Laushway. Caia's life was enriched by the correspondence she enjoyed with four generations of her extended family. Caia was a systems engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo and, more recently, was pursuing studies in demography at the University of Montreal. She was a young woman of courage, wit, compassion and grace, who will be sadly missed by her family and by her many friends. Her family would like to thank Doctors Marleau and Nutini and everyone who looked after Caia at the Hôpital St-Luc in Montreal for their outstanding care and affection. In addition, we will be forever grateful to the donor family, whose generosity gave us ten more years with our darling girl. Peter Andrew (Andy) Nadeau
July 21, 1988 - July 1, 2006

Andy died peacefully at home in his own bed with his parents and his brothers and sister by his side. He fought for his life until he died. He will be sadly missed by his mother Lisa, Ron and his father Peter, Helen, his brothers Daniel and Marc, his sister Erica and his grandfather Dr. Lindsay Graham as well as his extended family. Andy's family would like to thank his many friends for their unfailing support. Many thanks also to the nurses, staff and doctors of CHEO's Oncology Clinic, the 4 North Ward, the Palliative Care team, the Children's Wish Foundation and Candlelighters. Predeceased by three brothers, Jack, Frank and George Kennedy. Helen was fond of saying people should be 'good, kind and loving' and she lived her life that way. Peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, in her 97th year. Predeceased by husband, Foster Payne and four brothers, Allan, Kenneth, Bill and Homer. Leigh was born in Valhalla New York, daughter of Frederick and Edith Kuhns. and moved, with her family, to Ottawa in 1924, where she attended Glebe Collegiate and later, worked for the Metropolitan Life. Survived by sons Allan (Phoebe) of Raymond Alberta and Bob (Joanne) of Ottawa. Fondly remembered by 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. On June 18 in Ottawa at the age of 68, in the loving company of his former wife Carolyn Strauss (Bruce Nesbitt) of Ottawa and his cherished partner Mike LeBlanc of Braeside. Greatly missed by his beloved children Nicholas (Susan) of Désertines, France and Samantha of Toronto and grandchildren Alexandra and Sebastian. Also survived by his mother Sybil and brother Peter (Gail) of Toronto. Born in London, he began his theatrical career as an air-raid-shelter busker and boy actor in the West End. A stage producer, director, actor and impresario since he came to Canada in 1954, Michael managed the final act with flair and élan. He was well-known in the theatrical world for his optimism and determination - he always finished every production successfully and on time, including this, his last, a day after Nicholas arrived. He became the poster boy for pancreatic cancer, undergoing experimental chemotherapy and living with the disease for more than four years, to the admiration of his many friends around the world and the astonishment of the medical fraternity. Michael was in great demand for his skills in producing festivals and expositions, including the Salle Wilfrid Pelletier venue at Expo 67, the Arts Festival at the 1988 Calgary Olympics and Canada's cultural contributions to Expos in Sydney, Seville, Seoul, Lisbon and Hanover. He and his future business partner set up the Canada Council Touring Office and organized the first cultural exchanges with China. Florence Mabel Wilson

Surrounded by her family, Mabel's final wish to die peacefully at home was granted on June 21, 2006 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late John Wilson and loving mother of Murray (Christine) Wilson. Proud grandmother of Adam, Nicholas and Christopher. Enthusiastic foster grandmother of Jamie Bertrand. Sister of the late Alice Webster, Dorothy Stocks and the late Murray Coates. Also survived by her cherished goddaughter Lynne Chamberlain, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and close friends. Mabel had a special place in her heart for the Way/Cairns family. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Saturday, June 24, 2006 from 12noon until service time in the Chapel at 2:30pm, followed by a reception in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. For those wishing to make a donation, Mabel's favourite charity was Jamie's care provider Total Communication Environment (T.C.E.) Unit 5, 203 Colonnade Rd S. Ottawa, Ontario K2E 7K3.
