COOPER, SIDNEY LOUIS

(Resident of West Guilford, Ontario) ­ Sidney Louis Cooper passed away Friday, June 1, 2001 at the Haliburton Hospital following a brave battle with A.L.S. He was 66. Born on the family farm in West Guilford, he was the son of the late Stanley Cooper and Elva Sisson. Sid was the beloved husband and best friend of Louise, and the dearly loved father of Ian and Nadia of Saskatoon, Jaro of Toronto, and Paul and Marlene of Manotick. Mourning the passing of their youngest brother are Toby West of Sidney, B.C., Al and Marie Cooper of Woodstock, Earl and Eleanor Cooper of West Guilford, Evelyn and Duncan Bradley of Thunder Bay and his twin sister Shirley and Ken Rapson of Galiano B.C. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mildred Cooper of Burlington and his mother-in-law Winifred Rosseter of North Bay. He will be fondly remembered by his thirteen nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his eldest brother Lorne Cooper and by his brother-in-law Ted West. Friends may call at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457­9209 on Tuesday afternoon, June 5, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Then to St. George's Anglican Church Mountain Street, Haliburton on Wednesday afternoon, June 6, 2001 for Funeral Services at 2 o'clock. Interment Maple Lake United church cemetery , Maple Lake. As expressions of sympathy donations to St. George's Anglican Church or the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation (HHHS Foundation) would be appreciated by the family. Mother of Jim Burgess (Bev) of Toronto, Scott "Scooter" Burgess (Tracie) of Keswick, grandmother of Cary, Sarah and Cole, great grandmother to Christopher. Predeceased by her lovely daughter Debbie and by her son Bradley. Sister of Jessie Todd of Scotland. Phyllis will be missed by her many many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Phyllis's wishes cremation has taken place.
