ALLIN S. COOPER

passed away at the Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday, January 18, 2003.
In his 79th year.
Loving husband of Jayne (nee Gordon). Extraordinary father of John of Minden, Jean of 100 Mile House, B.C., and step-father of Ruth of Cobden, Thom Northgrave of Barrie. Father-in-law of Jane of Colborne, Bob Berke, Gary Foster. Dear friend of Diana Stringer of Michigan. Unforgettable grandfather to Bobbie-Jean, Billy-John, Melissa, Krista, Jamie, and Wyatt. Allin was active in WWII as a Wireless Air Gunner and he kept in touch through Ham Radio. He was an old-timer with "Hydro". He founded Woodcutters Supplies and was widely known for his knowledge of chainsaws. Allin was also a Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #129, Haliburton. A Celebration in Memory of Allin's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #636, Minden on a date and time to be announced in August of 2003. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legin Branch #636, Minden would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Main St., Minden.

On Monday, January 13, 2003, at Highland Wood Center, Haliburton, Ontario, Estelle Marguerite Baldry, wife of the late Arnold Baldry (May 1986). Dear mother of Ross Baldry (Marjorie), Haliburton. Dear grandmother of Mrs. Catherine Constantino (Lou), Haliburton, Mary Jane Brennan (William) Innisfil, Ontario and James Baldry (Susan), Minden, Ontario. Great grandmother of Matthew, Jeffrey and Jonathan Brennan, Jacey, Griffen and Brady Baldry. Mrs. Baldry was predeceased by her sister Mae Crompton. Mrs. Baldry was born in Brockville, Ontario, March 28, 1909 and was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Ross. She was an active member of St. Andrews United Church and the Diamond Group of the Church. Rested at the funeral chapel of Hetherington & Deans for service in the chapel on Thursday, January 16, 2003 at 1 p.m. Interment in Fairview cemetery. In memoriam, contributions to St. Andrews United Church would be appreciated. Friends called from 7-9 Wednesday.

She thrived, despite the many hardships of her life, always treating others with kindness and respect. We were blessed to have known a woman of such strength, compassion, integrity and honour. She will be dearly missed. WHITTAKER, DOUGLAS "DOUG" SAMUEL

Predeceased by his mother Pauline (nee Dean), his father Clifford, his brother Harold, and his sister Noreen. Lovingly remembered by Lynn and Tanya and many other special friends, nieces, nephews and family. Doug worked at Curry Motors Body Shop since 1961, was a Captain of the Haliburton Fire Department from 1968 to 1974 and 1984 to 1991, and was an Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion. passed away at the Haliburton Hospital after a prolonged illness on Saturday, May 17, 2003.
Beloved husband of Catharina Elizabeth Goverde (nee Van Zundert). Dear father of Henry of Vancouver, Jim of Toronto, Martin and Luisa of Cambridge, Connie and Bob of Perkinsfield, Greg and Heather of Peterborough, Audrey and Eric of Whitby, predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth (2001) and grandfather to nine grandchildren. Survived by four brothers and two sisters; William Goverde, Lou and Toss Goverde, Martin and Joan Goverde, John and Gerda Goverde, Beth and Richard v.d. Wildenberg, and Adriana Goverde. In honouring Adrian's wishes, cremation has taken place and family memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A.
