Active swimmer at the Y.M.C.A., Barrie until his 90th year.) passed away peacefully at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Barrie on Friday October 1st 2004 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Celina Mary (nee Austin). Loving father of Aynslie Laprise and her partner Luke Mikolaski of Morpeth and David Little and his wife Beverley of Pickering. Grandfather of Jeffrey Little of Toronto, Stephen Little and his fiancé Victoria Zablocki of Ottawa. Brother of Mabel Rutledge of Orangeville and Minerva Gordon of Toronto. A private interment of cremated remains will take place at the Mount Pleasant cemetery , Orangeville. Arrangements entrusted to the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM Funeral Homes, Barrie.

Peacefully at his late residence, on Monday October 4, 2004. Beloved husband of Corinne (Cherry) Kawaguchi. Loving and devoted father of Renée Guitard and her husband Danny. Proud grandfather of Shannon and Ryan. Survived by his brothers Susumu, Tetsuo, Mamoru, Junji, and sister Setsuko. Predeceased by brothers Shigeo, Yoshio, Takeru, Hiroshi, Namio, Masao, and Kazuo. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3rd, 2004, at the Simcoe Manor, Beeton. Harry Percy, in his 89th year, beloved husband of Joy (Robertson) for 60 years. Loving father to Ian and Georgian, Paul and Janis, Pat and Paul (Allison). Dear grandfather to Karen, Nathan, Serena, Jonathan, June, Greg, Mike, and great-grandfather to Kyle, Ashley, A.J., and Kade. Harry and Joy served with S.I.M. for over 40 years in Africa and Canada. Harry is predeceased by his brothers Doug, Jack (who both served in Africa), Norman, Andy, and sister Francis. Grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Sister of Jean Mitten of Trenton and the late Helen Stanley, William Shoniker, Gordon Shoniker, and Allan Shoniker. LOUGHEED, William (Bill) McMurray, MD, FRCS ( C )

With great sadness Bill’s family announces his passing at his home in Barrie, Ontario on September 30, 2004. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his children: Stoney, Bill, George, Joey and Bubba; his partner Margot; his niece Penny; his grandchildren; Kingsley, Brooke, Dylan, Heather, Nick, Jackie, Jordi, Scott, Kate and family members Janet, Sally, Jeff, Barb and Allan. Predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Grace, together they were loving parents and grandparents, and will be remembered for the strengths and memories they gave us. Teacher, innovator, boatbuilder, Georgian Bay adventurer and surgical pioneer, he devoted his career to the creation and advancement of neurovascular surgery in Canada. His contributions to surgery are honoured each year through the University of Toronto’s Department of Surgery W. Lougheed Microsurgial Course. A celebration of his life will be held at Barrie Central United Church on Friday October 8th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the W. Loving grandmother of Lisa and Cara Hunter, James and Ritchie Yates and great grandmother of 4 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Barrie Union cemetery on Friday, October 8th, at 10:00am. A celebration of Millie’s life will be held at a later date.
