Ila McIntyre

McINTYRE - At Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia, on Wednesday, January 14, 2004. ILA MCINTYRE, of Petrolia, in her 98th year. Miss McIntyre worked for the Ramsay family at Ramsay’s Market for 40 years moving from Parkhill to Petrolia in 1934. Miss McIntyre was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Petrolia, and had been active with the Missionary Circle at the church. Miss McIntyre is survived by her brother David MacIntyre of Bright’s Grove and several nieces and nephews, spanning three generations. Miss McIntyre was predeceased by her parents, Neil and Annie McIntyre (nee McDonald), a brother, Donald McIntyre and a sister, Erma Sutherland. The funeral service for Miss McIntyre will be held at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia, on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Rev. Dean Adlam officiating. Interment in Nairn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the charity of your choice.

George William Walker

It is with great sadness that the family of George William Walker announce his peaceful passing at Bluewater Health – CEE Site, Petrolia, on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in his 88th year, of Wyoming. Predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Evelyn “Jean”(nee Stevenson)(1999). Survived and sadly missed by his children Evelyn and John Payne of Brampton, Bill and Judy Walker of Petrolia, Lloyd Walker and Marilyn Nichols of Sarnia, and Norm and Jill Walker of Sarnia, his grandchidlren Robin Rayne, Penney O’Grady, Chris Payne, Mike Walker, Dan Walker, Lisa Cadman, April Beauchamp, Stacey Walker, Lisa Nichols, Jody Nichols, and Mandi-Jean Walker, and by many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also survived brothers(in-laws) and sisters((in-law) Hazel Williams, Mildred Cambridge, Charles Alvin Walker, Ruth Walker, Donna Stevenson, Calvin And Florette Stevenson, George and Annie Stevenson and by his long time neighbor Marie Woods. Was also predeceased by many brothers(in-laws) and Sisters(in-law). He will also be missed by his cat Jesse. George was a long time emploee at Maple Leaf Mills. Visitors will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Wyoming Chapel, Broadway St., Wyoming where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11:00 am. Rev. At her residence, on Monday, June 7, 2004. Katarina Mrnik (nee Seso), 68 years, of Wyoming. Beloved wife of the late Peter Mrnik (1993). Dear mother of John and Nadira of Chatham, Miriam of Wyoming, Joe of Wyoming and Stan and Louise of Strathroy. Dear sister of Anna and Jaroslav Polacek of Slovakia and the late Stefan and Anton Seso both of Slovakia. Visitors will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, where prayers will be offered on at 8:45 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Philip’s Church, Petrolia, on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dan Vere as celebrant. Beloved mother of Albert and Arlene Casier of Camlachie and the late Margaret Miller and her husband George (Pete) Miller of Wallaceburg. Dear grandmother to Julie Fairbairn, Janis Kerrigan, Alan Casier, Janet Wightman, Jerry Miller, Gary Miller, Judy Cudney, and the late Joan LaMarsh. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the WYOMING CHAPEL, Broadway St., Wyoming. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to the service time. Dear brother-in-law of Evelyn Salisbury of Muncey and the late Elsie Salisbury (2003). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis Bunyan

BUNYAN - At St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday, November 29, 2003. Dennis Bunyan, 46 years, of Sarnia and formerly of Petrolia. Dennis is survived by his children, Tim and Tiffany and their mother Cindy of Petrolia. Dennis’ mom, Viola Bunyan of Petrolia, his sister, Dawn and Myron McAuslan of Petrolia, special uncle to Darlene, Geoff and Melissa McAuslan, an uncle, John McMillan of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, an aunt, Ella Bunyan of Petrolia, best friend Jim Clow of Petrolia. Also survived by a special friend Maureen McIntosh of Sarnia. Dennis is also fondly remembered by the Gifford family. Dennis was predeceased by his father, George (2000), brothers, David (1980) and Danny (1955) and a sister Darlene (1975). Dennis struggled with cystic fibrosis all his life but still was very involved for many years as a coach and on the executive of Petrolia Minor Soccer, Petrolia Minor Hockey and the Petrolia Jr. “B” Jets Hockey Club. He also played hockey for many years and was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Visitors will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
