Robert James A. (Bob) Marshall

MARSHALL, Robert James A. (Bob) - After a short and brave battle, entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Friday, October 20th, 2006. Beloved son of the late Edith and James Marshall. Bob, in his 65th year, was the loving husband of Patricia Ena Marshall of Long Beach. Much loved father of Rob Marshall and his wife Debbie of Lindsay and their children Colleen, Stephanie and Thomas, Nadine Aubertin and her husband Rob Aubertin of Long Beach and their children Marshall, Mariah and Mackenzie, Thea Fraser of Lindsay and Tim Fraser of Coboconk and their children Jonathan and Brandon. Dear brother of Leonard Marshall of Toronto and nephew Troy and his family of Kingston. Dear brother-in-law of Sandy Burchall and her late husband Pete and their children Lee and Lisa and family, Kevin and Tracey and family and Spencer and Carol. Fondly remembered by his special friends Ralph Watson, Dave Whitehead and Eric Juhola. A special thanks to Dr. Vorestor and the staff at the Ross Memorial Hospital for all their special care. In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME, 24 Mill St., Lindsay (705-324-3205) on Friday, October 27th from 12:30 until time of a “Celebration of Life“ service in the chapel at 1:00 P.M. Members of the Lindsay Lions Club and visiting Lions are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Friday afternoon for a service at 1:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family. A reception will follow from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Lindsay.

RANSON, Helen - (Longtime member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lindsay), passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home on McLaughlin Road in Lindsay on Monday, October 23, 2006. Helen, at the age of 88, was the much loved daughter of the late William and Maude (nee Snell). Predeceased by her brothers Philip, Norman, Raymond and Douglas and sisters Myrtle, Agnes (the late Jack Quibell) and Doris (the late Walter 'Dick' Brasier). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In keeping with Helen's wishes, a private family service will be held at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay. Private interment at Riverside cemetery , Lindsay.

CRAWLEY, Helen (Nee: Ross) - passed away with her family by her side at the Huronia District Hospital, Midland, on Sunday October 22, 2006, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Crawley. Loving mother of the late Carol Holden and her husband Stan, Heather Babcock and her late husband Paul, and Ross Crawley and his wife Rita. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey, Scott, Lee, Jan, Jennifer, Jessica, Caitlin, and great grandmother of seven. At Helen's request, no funeral service will be held. MACINNIS, Aldene - Passeda way peacefully at home on Sunday October 22, 2006 with her family by her side. Aldene Chew of Penetanguishene in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Neil MacInnis. Dear mother of Brian MacInnis and his wife Robin, Nancy and her husband Randy Hargrave. Loving grandmother of Darren, Karin, Charlene and Keirstan. Daughter of the late Norman and Lucy Chew nee Brock. Aldene was a graduate of U. of T. Physiotherapy, Class of 1945. The family will receive friends at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Nicholls Funeral Home on Thursday October 26th at 11 a.m. Cremation with interment later at Lakeview cemetery , Midland. If desired, memorial donations to the C.N.I.B., Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Husband of Margaret O'Rourke. Loving father of Judy, John and Jane. Beloved grandfather Kelly, Susie, John, Kevin and Andrew and great grandfather to Connor, Kate and Avery. Dear sister of Hannie Urech of Utica. Marie will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Resting at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main St., Erin, where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday October 26th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Davison officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation on Thursday from 12 noon until time of service. If desired donations to the Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Beloved husband of Johanna (Anne) Vanderpoel. Dear father of Catherine Jager (David) of Calgary, Laurine (Pierre) Moreau of Penetang and Theresa (Jim) McArthur of Victoria Harbour. Loving grandfather of Andrew, Andre, Alex, Ellen and the late Benjamin. Brother of Hillegonda, Father Cornelis, Jan and Jaap all of Holland and the late Wilhelmina, Cora, Dora and Johanna. Friends called at the LYNN- STONE FUNERAL HOME, Elmvale on Sunday, October 22. Funeral Mass was at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Elmvale on Monday, October 23. With Interment Elmvale cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Kidney Foundation or Our Lady of Lourdes Church would be appreciated. Parish Prayers were the Funeral Home Sunday afternoon.

Dear daughter of the late Octave and Rosa (Mathias) Gauthier and stepdaughter to Anna Gauthier of Sturgeon Falls. Loving mother of George Leclair (wife Sue) of St. Catharines, Lucienne Forbeck (fiancé Ron) of Thorold, Mainville Leclair (predeceased fiancée Marilyn) of Texada Island B.C., John-Charles Leclair, Denis Leclair (wife Carole), Carole Trottier (husband Robert) all of Espanola, Paulette Skinner of Sault Ste. Marie, Suzanne Mayer (fiancé Dennis) of Sudbury, Ronald Leclair (friend Glenda) of Elliot Lake and Lorraine Levesque (husband Gilles) of St. Charles and stepmother to Ron Arbour (wife Laurie), Don Arbour (wife Liz) and Sandra Swain (predeceased husband Lorne) all of Espanola. Will be sadly missed by 29 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren and 5 greatgreatgranchildren. Dear sister of Albert Gauthier (friend Rhea) of St. Charles, Marcel Gauthier (wife Esthelle) of Val Caron, Andre Gauthier (wife Adrianna) of Westree, Emilien Gauthier (Wife Antoinette) of Elliot Lake, Bernadette Pomerleau (husband Wilfred) and Laurette Guy (predeceased husband Leon) both of Coniston, Marie-Rose of Markstay, Emily Dakin and George Gauthier both of West Bay and predeceased by Lionel Gauthier (surviving spouse Sue) of Noelville. Beatrice was a life member of the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion Br. 39 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Federation des femmes - Canadiennes Francaise. Rested at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME Espanola on Friday, October 20, 2006. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday October 21, 2006 at St. Lawrence R.C. Church Webbwood with Father Terry Fournier officiating. Interment Espanola cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society or the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 39 Memorial Fund would be appreciated.

Greta Matilda Johnston

JOHNSTON, Greta Matilda - Greta Matilda Johnston, born in Kipling on March 8, 1933. Died peacefully in her 74th year, after a lengthy illness at the Renfrew Groves Park Lodge, on Sunday, October 22, 2006. She will be sadly missed by her dearly loved husband Bruce Remus. Dear mother of Gail who predeceased her, Earl Johnston (Ute) and by her 6 grandchildren all of California. Predeceased by her loving parents Elin and Henry Carlson and siblings June, Ingrid Gerald. Greatly missed by brothers Lloyd (May) of Thunder Bay, Allan (Joanne) of Kingston, Paul (Jean) of Kipling, David (Barb) of North Bay, and Esther (Zee) of Restoule, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Greta was a very caring RN, both in Canada and California and loved music, nature and gardening. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME today Wednesday from 7 - 9:00 PM, and at the Kipling Baptist Church on Thursday, October 26th from 10:00 am until time for services in the Church at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Kipling. Donations appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Rita Mccormick

McCORMICK, Rita - Rita (Thomas) McCormick of St. Thomas on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. After a courageous struggle with cancer surrounded by her loving family and friends. Dearly loved wife of the late Andrew Willis (Andy) McCormick, (March 1, 2005). Loved mother of Ronald and his wife Maureen McCormick of St. Thomas, Michelle Alonso of London and Dave McCormick and his wife Tina of St. Thomas. Proud grandmother of Lisa and her husband Brian Vanderveen, Tim McCormick, Janine and Meghan Alonso and Margaret and Peter McCormick, also great-grandchildren, Nicole, Liam and Laura Vanderveen. Dear sister of Arthur “Runch“ Thomas of North Bay; predeceased by her sister Eva “Toots“ Thomas and brothers, Ronald and Jacques Thomas. Dear sister-in-law of Joan and Hudson Stewart, Margaret Ann Jennings and Douglas Jennings of St. Thomas and Thomas McCormick of Sarnia; predeceased by sisters-in-law Geraldine Thomas of North Bay, Dorothy McCormick of Sarnia and by several loved aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Rita was born in North Bay, Ontario, the daughter of Onesime and Eva (Rouleau) Thomas. Following her marriage to Andy, she moved to St. Thomas to raise her family. After twenty years of servcie as a ward clerk, Rita retired from the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. Rita was a fifty-five year member of the Catholic Women's League and an active member of St. Anne's Church, serving on the Apostolic Committee and singing in the Resurrection Choir. She was also a former volunteer with the Elgin Association for Community Living. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas until Friday and then to St. Anne's Church for Mass of the Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Interment at Holy Angel's cemetery. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Remembrance may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.

Prédécédé par ses frères Alfred, Joseph, Paul et par sa soeur Estelle Gagnon.Grand père de Sheri-Anne, Mitchell et Désirée. La famille recevra parents et amis au salon funéraire Théorêt Bourgeois 2 rue Racette Verner, jeudi de 14h a 16h et de 19h a 21h. Les funérailles seront célébrées le vendredi 27octobre 2006, a 11h a la paroisse Notre Dame de la Visitation, Lavigne.

Sandra, of 50 years, beloved wife of Dan Orr. Loving mother of Alison, Caroline, Megan, and Katherine (Katie). Dear daughter of George and the late Theresa Fitzgerald. Loving sister of Michael Fitzgerald, and the late Lori Holland. Dear sister in law of Al Holland, and Douglas Orr. Loved aunt of Joe Holland. She will be sadly missed by all of her teaching colleagues and special friends. Friends and family will be received at the LYNETT FUNERAL HOME, 3299 Dundas St. West (one block east of Runnymede) Toronto, Wednesday 4-6 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 26, at 11:00 am, from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 1701 Bloor St. West (just east of Keele). Cremation to follow. Proud grandfather of Michael, David, Craig (Kelly), Karen (Jamie), Kendra, Garrett, Kyle, Cassie and great-grandfather of Steven Ainsworth. Bill will be sadly missed by his son-in-law, Fred Gentili; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Clifford; sister-in-law, Bessie Clifford. Elda Adelaide (nee Brien) Ingham

INGHAM, Elda Adelaide (nee Brien) - At Grey Bruce Health Services, Meaford on Monday, October 23, 2006. Elda Ingham of Owen Sound in her 94th year. All who have known Elda Ingham were blessed to have known a responsible, unpretentious, cheerful, consistent, artistic and humorous women who enriched our lives. There is no doubt she will be welcome in heaven. Elda was predeceased by her brother William Thomas Brien. She was the daughter of the late Carmen and Ina Brien. Elda is survived by her sister Helen and her husband Bill Dane; daughter Lynn Ingham; son, Ted Ingham; grandsons Tavis Apramian, Carmen Ingham, Lorne Ingham and Zale Apramian. She was blessed with very caring neighbours in the “blue condo“, particularly Margaret and Frank Benn and Betty and Bert Armstrong, who embraced her as “family“. A memorial service will be conducted at Central Westside United Church on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11 o'clock with Rev. David Shearman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Meaford Hospital Foundation or Central Westside United Church would be appreciated and may be made through the TANNAHILL FUNERAL HOME 519-376- 3710.
