SHRIMER, HAROLD: Peacefully at his home in Smithville on Friday, April 18, 2008, Harold Shrimer in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Ingrid Shrimer (nee Pain). Loving father of Amanda and Jordan. Dear brother of Fred and Tina Shrimer, Henrietta and Clarence Mulder, and Paul and Liza Shrimer. Also survived by his parents Jan and Heather Shrimer. Predeceased by his brother Little Freddy. A memorial service will be held at St. Anns Community Church, 5425 Regional Rd. 69 in St. Anns, on Saturday, April 26 at 1 pm. Private interment Lane Cemetery. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Paterson) and the late Maude (nee Smithers). Loving father of Brent and Debbie Simpson, Sue (Marie) Talarico, and step-father to Karen Rouselle and Malcolm Ross. Cherished papa of Jeremy, Krista, Justin, Bryce, Jenna, Sarah, Rheanne and Kyle, and great-papa of Bridget. Dear brother of Margaret Roepke and Rose and William Anderson. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by his brothers Bill, Doug, Murray, Dick and Russ and sister Betty Lott. Don was a Past Master of Coronation Lodge #502. Wife of the late Keith Sims (2002). Cherished mother of Elaine Boers (Jim), Linda Mercer, Doug Sims (Shirley), and Dianne Gaudette (Floyd). Dear grandmother of Laurie, Christopher, Steven, Amanda, Stefanie and Bob. Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Loving mother of Joan Ballantyne (Bob), Marlene Los (Tom), Brenda Robins (Glenn), Verna Cook (John) and Verne Smith (Kim), and mother-in-law of Jackie Smith. Predeceased by her son Fred Smith (2006). Cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ada Urquhart (Don) and Frances Kinney, and sister-in-law of Harley Smith, and Margaret Smith. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her brother Frank Green, sister-in-law Dianne Green. STEWART (McINTYRE), Audrey: Peacefully at Henderson General Hospital in Hamilton on Thursday, November 13, 2008, Audrey Margaret Stewart (McIntyre) nee Swayze in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Rupert McIntyre (1947) and the late William Stewart (1984). Loving mother of Jack and Sandra McIntyre, Lorne McIntyre, Linda and Don Pothier, and John and Barb Stewart. Cherished by her 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Survived by one sister. Predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. At Audrey's request, cremation has taken place and a private family funeral service will be held. Sadly missed by his wife Louise, his children Tonya (Dennis), Jamie (Darlene), Allison (Jordan) and Natasha (Michael). TYLEE, LINDA: Into the mystic, at Haliburton Hospital on Thursday, June 19, 2008, Linda Hazel Tylee (nee McNeil) of Wilberforce, Ontario and previously of Toronto and Smithville. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Royal Tylee (2005). Loving mother of Rob and Dawn McNeil, Kim and Jeff deHoog, Dennis Tylee, and Scott and Tammy Tylee. Cherished grandmother of Cheyanne, Daniel, Hailey, Rebecca, Michael, Jessica, Chelsea and Cree. Loving daughter of the late Joe and Iris McNeil, and daughter-in-law of Helen and the late Jack Tylee. Dear sister of Dennis McNeil and the late Peter McNeil, and sister-in-law of Christine McNeil and Barbra McNeil. Linda will also be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and her dog Murphy. Born in Lucaswolde, The Netherlands on October 16, 1939, he was dearly loved by his wife Ann Van Hoorn (Vlaar) of 46 years. Predeceased by his son Edward (1976). Loving father of Fran and Jake Dekker, Joyce and Shawn Workholdt, Debbie and Harry Van Egmond, Steve and Elaine Van Hoorn, and Teresa and Greg Crowder. Loving grandfather of 20 grandchildren. WAITE, JAMES ALLAN: Passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, May 11, 2008 in his 49th year. Predeceased by his parents Earl (1992) and Sylvia (1998). He leaves behind his brother John, his sisters Joyce Clarkson, Gayle and Ray Vesentin, Janice Bridgman, and Lorna and Bill Vickers. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a well known heavy equipment operator for over 30 years. Cremation has taken place. WHELEHAN, LILY: It is with extreme sadness and great loss that the family of Lily Theresa Whelehan (born in Glasgow, Scotland April 9, 1915) announces the news of her passing. Lily passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on November 6, 2008 at Deer Park Villa in her 94th year. Lily emigrated to Canada on March 23, 1929 aboard the S.S. Athenia. She was the beloved wife of the late John Patrick Whelehan, and daughter of the late William Thomas Morris and Isabella (nee Hutchinson) Morris. Loving mother to Letitia Gold (and the late Albert), the late Eunice Debaie (Edward), the late Beatrice Soulliere (Bob), and of Susan Spain (and the late Paul). Cherished grandmother of John Spain, Paul Spain and Cindy Spain (whom she raised as her own children); Gary Gold, Albert Gold and the late Laura Gold; Lisa Robinson, Maureen Wilkens, and the late Michael Theobald; Jane Richards, Lyle Jacobs, David Keegan, Murphy Keegan (also raised as her own child), Peter Keegan, Kathleen Simms, Angela Keegan, and Lorne Jacobs. Lovingly remembered by 17 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. Dear sister of Isabella Shultz. Predeceased by her brothers Sidney Morris, Herbert Morris, Willy Morris, Tommy Morris, Eddy Morris and Joseph Morris. Lily will also be missed by her extended family at Deer Park Villa. Loving mother of Mary Martin (Charlie), Gertrude Goit (and the late Don-2001), Clara Terryberry (and the late Earl-2002), Ruby Pierce (Doug), Ken Young (Bev), the late Stella Balanuik (1972), Harry Young (Linda), and Bruce Young (Sharon) and mother-in-law of Bob Balanuik. Cherished by her 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Alvin and Walter and sister Beatrice. BEAMER, W. LYLE: At Albright Centre in Beamsville on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, William Lyle Beamer in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Vera Winnifred Beamer (Beaty, 1998). Loving father of the late Harold Beamer (July 10, 2007). Survived by his loving daughter-in-law June Beamer. Cherished grandfather of Douglas, Christopher (Tammy) and Bradley (Leah Camacho), and great-grandfather of Rylan. Dear brother of Adam Hugh Beamer (Nova) of Florida. Predeceased by two sisters Ila Davis (and her husband Walter), and Doris White (and her husband Richard), and sisters-in-law Doris Beamer and Helen Beamer. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lyle was a lifelong member of the Bethel Evangelical Church, and then of Smithville United Church since 1945 where he was an honorary life Elder and Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. He was an employee of R. Murgatroyd & Sons from 1936 to his retirement in 1982. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20) on Saturday, April 12 at 10 am. Private interment at the church's adjoining cemetery will precede the service. Special thanks to the 3rd floor nursing staff at Albright Centre and the volunteers from the Rose Cottage that helped make Lyle's last days so peaceful. Lifelong friend of Diane Armstrong (nee Stirtzinger). Loving father of Debbie Armstrong and Gerry Duncan, Cindy Park, and Michael and Keely Armstrong. Cherished grandfather of Lynsy, Tyson, Quinton, Madison and Nicholas. Dearly missed by two of his best friends Terry Dixon and Edenna Wojciechowski.
