Janice Dianne Reid-Rutherford

REID-RUTHERFORD, Janice Dianne - At the age of 55 years, after a lengthy battle with cancer, of the North Bruce Peninsula and formally of Arthur, Ontario, passed away on 21 January 2007. Janice is survived by her mother Noreen Rutherford, and her brother Ken (Louise), her daughters Amanda (Jamie) and Shawna (Scott) and her grandchild Brooklyn. Also survived by her nephews Nick, Bob (Brandy) and Ben (Cherryl) and her good friends Pamela Jean, Gilbert and Margie, and uncles and aunts and cousins. Janice leaves behind countless very dear friends and acquaintances. Janice was predeceased by her father William (Bill) Rutherford of Arthur. Janice asked to include her sincere appreciation and thanks to doctors, nurses and medical associates of Lion's Head Hospital and Clinic and Pharmacy, London and Owen Sound Hospitals and Oncology and Pharmacies and total appreciation to the C.C.A.C. nurses. Janice also leaves behind her friend and partner Peter ten Cate. Cremation at Woodlawn Crematorium in Guelph on 23 January.

Lee-Ann Myrtle Steven

STEVEN, Lee-Ann Myrtle - At her home in Holland Centre on Wednesday, January 17, 2007. Lee-Ann Steven of Holland Centre in her 54th year. Beloved wife of Doug. Dear mother of Martin and his wife Chrissy of Sarnia and Robert of Holland Centre. Sadly missed by three grandchildren Jordyn, Jasmyn and Nathan. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Owen Sound on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10 o'clock. Friends are invited for visiting at the church from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.

Bruce D. Sturrock

STURROCK, Bruce D. - Peacefully at the St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Killeleagh) for 57 years. Loving father of John, Heather and her husband Jim McCullough, Alison and her husband Chris Pattison. Proud grampa of Sarah (Dorian), Melissa (Rich), Jeremy, Josh and Wesley. Brother of Janeth (Lindsay) Cooper and Sylvia Manto. Predeceased by his brother John. Bruce served in the Second World War in the Signal Corps. He then became an employee for the Bank of Montreal and retired after almost 35 years. He had a real passion for photography. The family will receive friends at “THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West Street Brantford, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm. A private family Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007. Cremation to follow. KOZERA, Casper Joseph - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, CASPER JOSEPH KOZERA, age 95, of Sarnia, deeply missed by his wife of 65 years Rose (Marchuk) Kozera. Missed sadly by his children Leonard and Patricia Kozera of Brigden and Lorraine and Nick Wasyliw of Sarnia and loved by his grandchildren Lori and Jerry McCulligh, Joe and Natalie Kozera, Bill and Laurie Kozera, Chris and Fred Jennings and Larissa and Mathew Wasyliw. 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild also survive. Brother of Pauline Kaye. Predeceased by his parents Powel and Katarzyna (Cwik) Kozera, brothers Bill, Tony, Joe, Frank, Carl, Mike and Peter and a sister Mary. Casper worked as a carpenter for Retlaw Estate and Holmes Foundry. Funeral service will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Friday, January 26th at 11:00 a.m. The pallbearers will be his proud grandchildren Joe, Bill, Matt, Josh, Trever and Zach. Cremation will follow. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canatara Park Animal Farm or charity of choice.

SNELL, Steven John - Tragically, as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Monday, January 22, 2007, STEVEN JOHN SNELL, age 37, of Sarnia, loving son of Ken and Lois Snell and dear brother of Susan, Sandra and James and Scott and Karen. Also survived by nieces and nephews Seth and Hannah, Kurstie and Darrien , Scott Hansen. Predeceased by Joshua. Steve valued family and friends and his “girls“ Kim, Mickey and Lucy above all else. He constantly showed us his love. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, January 27th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Sombra. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia Humane Society or Children's Charity.

Louise S.A. Smith

SMITH, Louise S.A. - Born on September 8th, 1953 in Niagara-On-The-Lake; Louise died on January 23rd ,2007 suddenly at home in her 54th year. Louise had her own business teaching computer skills and was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church where she taught Sunday School. She will be sadly missed by her parents, Irene & Lew Smith, her brothers David (Sandra) and Michael (Ioka). Special aunt to Kyle, Ian, Sherry(Paul), Brandan & Alexia. Louise will be lovingly remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins and her many friends whose lives she's touched. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday January 27th, 2007 at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 99 Ontario St, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by her family. John McNeill Livingstone

LIVINGSTONE, John McNeill (Amity Lodge 32 AF & AM) - Peacefully, in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday January 23, 2007 in his 83rd year. John Livingstone, beloved husband of the late Hilda Livingstone. Loving father to Marjorie (Mike) Werner of Dunnville and John Barry Livingstone of Toronto. Proud and loving grandpa to Michael, Max and Signi. Predeceased by his brother James. Sadly missed by his brother and sister in laws and their families. John was the Past Master of Amity Lodge 32 AF & AM and held the office of Secretary for many years. He was the Past Grand Super Intendent of Royal Arch Masons McCallum Chapter 29 and a member of Harrington Conclave 16. John will long be remembered for his quiet efficiency and valued contributions not only to his home lodges but to those of the district as well. Friends are welcome to join with the family at J.W. RODRIGUEZ, Cecil Frank - Veteran WWII, passed away peacefully in his 88th year at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday, January 22nd, 2007, surrounded by his family. Cherished Husband of Joan. Loving Father of Carol (predeceased), Tina (Randy McLeod) of St. Thomas, Linda (Claire Dadson) of London, David (Lois) of London, Don of Consecon and Sharon of Oshawa. Brother of Shirley Rodriquez of Toronto. Grandfather of Laurie, Faidra, Tracey, David, Karen, Kenny (deceased), Jason, Melissa, Joanne, Michelle, Luke, Katelyn, Carrie and Derek. Loved by all his Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Elsie Rozon, and brother Stan and his wife Joan surviving. Cecil will be missed by his nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. Charles Richard (Rick) Sourwine

SOURWINE, Charles Richard (Rick) - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday January 23, 2007 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at 58 years of age. Beloved husband of Krystyna for 21 years. Loving father of Chuck, Susie and Tammy. Cherished son of Ann Sourwine. Grandpa Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren, his sisters, brothers and family. Charlie was predeceased by his father Charles and sister Becky. Charlie was a great full member of AA and Club sixteen. Always there to offer a helpful, loving hand, he will be remembered for many a lifetime. Charlie is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. where a service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Rose, Dr. Findley, Dr. Bertley, Dr. Blewett and all the staff of the St. Catharines General Hospital.

Loving father of Bob Clark (Cindy) and Tim Clark (Betty). Cherished grandfather of Michelle (Mark), Bobby, Ryan, Bradley and Michael. Great-grandfather of Sydney. Brother of Robert. Survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Agnes and Albert, and his sister Nancy. Albert retired from GNGH in 1992 after 25 years of service. He was an active member of the Local Chef's Association. He was the 1982 Chef Of The Year. Resting at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, Niagara Falls (905-354-5614), where friends and family are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Life Celebration will be held in the funeral chapel on Friday January 26th, 2007 at 11 o'clock a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, in Fonthill. As an expression of sympathy in memoriam contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St. Catharines General Hospital Oncology Unit.

Elizabeth-Jean (nee Willey) Wilson-O'Connor

WILSON-O'CONNOR, Elizabeth-Jean (nee Willey) - On Wednesday January 24th, 2007, Betty passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at the Niagara- on-the-Lake Hospital. Predeceased by husband George P. Wilson (1979) and Frank O'Connor (1999). Dear mother of Sandra (Terry) Dyke, of Loon Lake, Debra (James) Zabek, of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Robert (Paula) Wilson, of Virgil. Proud Nana of Rebecca and Jennifer Zabek. Sister to Norma Yurchuk and Joan Keast and sister-in-law to Catherine Willey, and predeceased by her brother Donald Willey (2006). Survived by several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Betty's life will be announced at a later date. A special thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital and to Dr. Karen Berti. Antoine Louis “Tony“ Hébert

HÉBERT, Antoine Louis “Tony“ - In loving memory of Antoine Louis “Tony“ Hébert, 84 years of age who passed away Monday evening, January 22nd, 2007 at Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. He was born in Maurice, Manitoba. He married Lina (née Méthot) (David) in Sudbury in 1965. He worked for 37 years as a miner at INCO Ltd., retiring in 1984. A member of Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, he was a Minister of Communion, a reader, served on the funeral committee and sang with the choir at the church and was a pastoral worker at Pioneer Manor. Antoine served overseas with The Canadian Air Forces during World War II as a mechanic. Tony was devoted to his family and leaves a rich legacy of love, faith and devotion and will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Beloved husband of Lina (née Méthot) (David) Hébert of Sudbury. Loving father of Claudette Nixon (husband Eric) of Hammond and the late Elizabeth Anne Brazeau predeceased 1993 (husband Jerome of Deep River). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren: David Brazeau (wife Lori) of Whitby, Cynthia Tinga (husband Ron), Donna Lynne Monette (husband Charles deceased), Grant Nixon (wife Dee) all of Ottawa and great grandchildren: Connor, Lyndsay and Katherine. Son of Pierre and Thérèse Hébert both predeceased. Predeceased by her sisters Valentine Frappier and Alice St. Onge. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Monique, Nicole, Kelly, Cory, Steven, Stacey and by her great- grandchildren, Samantha, Katie, Peyton and Rylan. Predeceased by his wife Gloria Patterson (2004). Dear father of Lynda Patterson of London, David (Sherry) Patterson of Smiths Falls, Albert (Joanne) Patterson of West Lorne, Daniel (Kathy) Patterson of Bornholm, and Martha (Murray) Pratt of Timmins. Loved and mourned by thirty grand and great grandchildren. Alex was a retired OPP Corporal with the Perth Detachment and a WWII Veteran. Visitation will be held on Thursday From 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 26th 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Spring interment, Robins Hill Cemetery.

John “Monty“ Bennett

BENNETT, John “Monty“ - aged 84 years, born Merton, U. K. - Passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 9, 2007 at the St. Catharines General. Devoted husband of 61 years to Emily. Loving father of Norman and (Dedee) Bennett of St. Catharines, Alan Bennett of St. Catharines, Jackie and (Gary) Ferguson of Fonthill. Grandfather of Garry and (Krista) Bennett of Cambridge, Richie and (Melissa) Bennett of Kelowna, B.C. James and Simon Bennett (France) and Victoria Bennett (UK), Emma and James Ferguson, great-grandfather of Hailley and Iain. Predeceased by brothers, Billy, George, Norman, and sister Joyce, survived by sister Mary all of U.K. “Monty served active duty during World War II, stationed in Egypt and the Middle East with the RAF for four years. Margaret Cecilia Ford (nee Spencer)

FORD, (nee Spencer), Margaret Cecilia - May 20 1927 - February 10th 2007. In her 80th year. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Ford. Surrounded by her family she was called home to be with her Lord on Saturday. She will be sadly missed by her best friend and husband of 59 years, Henry. Dear Mother of Cecelia (Dennis), Fred (Gela), Lyall (Nancy), David (Margaret), Marti, and Cindy (Pino). Grandmother to Danny (Lisa), Melissa (Daryll), Jeremy, Jessica (Gabe), Terri, Tyler, Marissa, Joshua, Jackson, Joseph, and Jacob. Great Grandmother to Danielle, Spencer, Sydney, Carter, N'Dawness and Solomon. She is also survived by her twin sister, Nonie Delano. Her life was a life of service to her faith, and to her family. She was a lay reader in the Anglican Church and was a Associate of the Order of The Sisters of St. John the Divine. She accompanied her husband, Henry, on his return to the Arctic where she continued her ministry to the Inuit of Baker Lake. She fought a long and courageous battle with illness, with her devoted husband always by her side. A Memorial service will be held in St. Catharines at Church of the Good Shepherd, 359 Grantham Avenue at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 13th. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Anglican Essentials of Canada, c/o Church of the Good Shepherd. Thanks are extended to Dr. Nolan, and the Emergency staff, and the Palliative care staff at the St.Catharines General Hospital.
