Findlay Alexander Frost

FROST, Findlay Alexander - In his 98th year quietly at home with his loving daughters and granddaughter Susie by his side. Survived by sister Mildred. Sadly missed by his children Janet (late Guy), Edna (late Ken), Marion Bentley (John), Joyce (Harold), Norm (Nimfa), Randall (Joyce). Predeceased by son Lorne (Mary). Findlay's legacy also includes 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren. He will be joining his 8 brothers and 1 sister for many Euchre games. Following cremation a memorial service will be held at Bentley's Home on the Lake, RR#2 Godfrey, on Saturday April 27, 2007 at 2 p.m. Donations may be sent to Sick Kids Hospital Toronto. Arrangements in care of GOODFELLOW'S FUNERAL HOME, Parham.

Bonnie Jean (nee McShane) Houle

HOULE, Bonnie Jean (nee McShane) - passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on April 20, 2007 in her 63rd year. Lovingly missed by her daughter Laura Houle (Phil), sisters Lois McShane and Linda (Bruce) Churchill, her nephewThomas Potter (Belinda). She is prede ceased by her parents Ernest and Doris McShane. Following a private family funeral, the interment will take place at Sprucehaven cemetery , Brinston, Ontario. In memory ofBonnie donations may be made to the Ca nadian Lung Association.

MACK, Donny - Suddenly at his home on Monday, April 23, 2007. Donny Mack, loving father of Jason (Gladys), and Alicia. Dear brother of Sylvia Miller, and Uncle of Janet Miller. Fondly remembered by his Aunt Marion Ray. Also survived by several cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 63 Garden Street, Gananoque on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Service of remembrance will be held from our chapel on Friday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Margaret Vivian (Payne) R.N. Munroe

MUNROE, Margaret Vivian (Payne) R.N. - (Graduate nurse at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston Class of 1949) Peacefully in Celina Tennessee with her loving family at her side on Saturday April 21, 2007. Loving mother of Patricia (Derald) of Tennessee and predeceased by her son Lesley Clancy. Survived by grandchildren Dawn, Joseph, John and Nathan and three great grandchildren. Predeceased by husbands Les Clancy and Moody Munroe and by her parents Austin and Nora Payne of Kingston Mills. Survived by sisters Mary Halligan, Lola Gourdier, Lois Halligan, brothers Harold (Helen) and Ed (Mary) Payne. Predeceased by brothers Frank and Jack Payne. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass was held in Celina Tennessee on Monday April 23rd followed by cremation. Interment will be at St. Mary's cemetery , Kignston at a later date.

Much loved mother of Joan Collins (Bo), Barry (Kathy), and Kent (Elizabeth). Cherished grandmother of Robin Colello, Brant, Betsy, Mark, Geoffrey, David and Natalie Rogers. Great grandmother of Isabella, Lucy and Nina Colello. Predeceased by 1 brother Jackson (Bud) Hayward and by 1 sister Geneva Hayward. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 63 Garden Street, Gananoque on Thursday evening from 7-9 pm. Service of remembrance will be held from our chapel on Friday, April 27 at 11:00 am. Inurnment Gananoque cemetery. WATKINS, Douglas Charles ‘Doug' - Of Ardoch, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2007 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of 49 years to June (nee James). Loving father of Rodney and Kelly Watkins, Carolyn and Jerry White and Lonnie and Rhonda Watkins, all of Ardoch. He will be sadly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of his grandchildren Sarah, Julie, Charlie, and Amy. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Marguerite Watkins. The family will receive friends at the Maschke Funeral Home, (11928 Hwy #41 Northbrook, Ontario K0H 1Z0 (613-336-6873) on Thursday from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. An interment will follow at the Ardoch Anglican cemetery. Loving Father of Kenneth, Richard (Cynthia) and the late Robert. Cherished grandfather of Jeremy (Cindy). Survived by siblings Claira Vallancourt, Sheila Demers, Linda Black and Jack Byce as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Henry and Johnny, sisters Winona, Dee Fern, Diane and Cheryl. Laurent “Laurence“ Gadoury

GADOURY, Laurent “Laurence“ - It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Mr. Laurent Gadoury announces his passing at the Kirkland and District Hospital on April 20, 2007, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Laurence is predeceased by his parents Michel and Albina (née Rheault) Gadoury. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his spouse Shirley Neldon of Kirkland Lake; sister-in-law Shelby Smith (Gerry Rodgers); his beloved children Jeannette and Philip Gadoury; stepchildren John (spouse Maria) Klawitter of Scarborough, Floyd (spouse Theresa) Klawitter of Atlanta, Georgia, Larry (spouse Lisa) Klawitter of Houston, Texas, Cliff (spouse Jane) Klawitter of Venice, Florida and Carl (spouse Dawn) Klawitter of Atlanta, Georgia; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his brothers Gerald (spouse Marlene) Gadoury of Burlington, Don Gadoury of Kirkland Lake, Bert (spouse Cecile) of Timmins; nieces and nephews Jocelyne, Shawn, Ryan, Lionel and Sandra. Laurence was born and raised in Ramore then relocated to Kirkland Lake where he began his employment with Heath & Sherwood for 41 years. He enjoyed playing slowpitch ball for Heath & Sherwood, curling and watching the Legion '87's hockey. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on May 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the St- Laurent cemetery in Ramore. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the House of Kin (1889 Regent Street, Sudbury, ON P3E 2S7) or to the Canadian Cancer Society (273 Third Avenue, Suite 101, Timmins, ON P4N 1E2) and would greatly be appreciated by the family.

Eva Gibson

GIBSON, Eva Gertrude (nee Saunders)- was born March 1, 1923 in Charlton, Ontario. She was the daughter of Francis & Charles Saunders. She passed away peacefully at the home of her eldest daughter Cheryl's in Nakusp B.C. on the early morning of January 13, 2007. Eva grew up in Charlton, Ontario, married her husband Johnny July 3, 1941. They moved to King Kirkland where she lived until she moved to Nakusp B.C. Jan. 2006. Eva was predeceased by her husband John on July 11, 2002 and by sons Morley and Dwight, grandson Travis Weisflock, son-in-law Ira Geddes, sisters Verna Bain, Edith Gibson, Violet Scott and brother Howard Saunders. Eva will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughters Cheryl (Harvey) Truax of Nakusp, B.C., Vanessa Geddes of King Kirkland, Merina (Don) Weisflock of Kirkland Lake, and son Jimmy (Sirpa) Gibson of Kirkland Lake. Grandchildren Vickey (Scott) Mcleod, of Alberta, Cheryl (Kevin) Black, Tweyla (Jason) Simpson, Harvey (Jen) Truax of B.C. Grant (Bobbi Jo) Geddes of King Kirkland, Kyle (Laura) Geddes of King Kirkland, Jamie, Graham and Johnny Gibson of Kirkland Lake, and 14 great grandchildren. Eva also leaves behind sisters Evelyn Lyons, June Hanson, brothers Jim Saunders and Glen Saunders and many nieces and nephews. Eva was a member of the Encore Club in Kirkland Lake since 1984. She enjoyed playing bridge and crib and also did many hours of volunteering. She was bookkeeper for 14 years for the Road Commission in King Kirkland. When the King Kirkland School was in operation, she was janitor for a few years. In loving memory of Eva, a celebration of her life will be held at the Encore Club on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. David Naylor officiating. Eva will be laid to rest with her husband and two sons at the Kirkland Lake cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation (P.O. Box 1122, Kirkland Lake, P2N 3M7) or the Encore Club (30 Second Street, Kirkland Lake, P2N 1R1) and would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Scott Polyblank

POLYBLANK, Scott - It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce his death on April 19, 2007 at the tender age of 48 years. Scott is survived by his parents Jack and Gwen Polyblank of Kirkland Lake; his beloved son Shane Polyblank of Niagara Falls as well as his step daughter Melany Lapointe of Kirkland Lake. He is deeply missed by his loving and caring girlfriend Carole Lessard; his wife Claudette (Ralph Stubbs) of Niagara Falls; his brothers Paul (Joanne) of Kirkland Lake and Steven of New Liskeard. He will also be remembered by his nephews Steven Jr. and Drew Polyblank of Kirkland Lake. In respect of Scott's wishes, cremation will be taking place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society - Ontario Division (10 Elm Street, Suite 202, Sudbury, P3C 5M3) and would be greatly appreciated by the family. Will be sadly missed by her many sisters and brothers in law and her nieces and nephews. KAY, John R. - passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 24, 2007 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 64. Predeceased by his wife Sandy. Dear spouse of Sandra. Loving father of Leslie (Tim) Bigelow and Louise (Chris) Wilson. Adored grandfather of Kaylee, Christopher, Nicholas, Joshua and Emma. Brother of Pat (Jim) Edwards of England. Predeceased by his brother Mac Kay. Grateful friend of Bill W. for over 2 years. John worked for over 20 years at CanEng until his retirement. He was the past district officer of the Kinsmen. John's family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES 5917 Main Street, on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Loving mother of Ron (Sally), Pat (Tim), Yvonne (Herb), Bruce (Sherry), Rob (Maxine), Colette (Daniel) and Dennis (Sylvie). Loved daughter of Agnes and the late Bill Davies. Dear sister of Irene (Ray), Patsy (Jack), Peggy (Fred), Lois (Chuck), Bill (Gloria), Cathy (Craig), Terry (Larry), Angela (Mark) and Tom (Pat). Cherished grandmother of 18 and great grandmother of 7. Predeceased by her granddaughter Tina Lee (2001). Christine will be sadly missed by many nieces & nephews, and her friends at Hannah's Restaurant. Margaret Sophia (Hardy) Plewes Eversole

EVERSOLE, Margaret Sophia (Hardy) Plewes - Born January 20, 1913 to Eunice Olivetta Munro and Charles Ernest Hardy, Margaret died peacefully on April 20, 2007 at the Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington, with her family close by. Affectionately known as “Dee“, she is survived by her daughters-in-law Cathy Plewes of Oakville, Ontario and Donna Plewes of Edmond, Oklahoma; step-daughters Marilyn Holmstrom, Nancy Ward and Joanne Myers; grandchildren John, Kimberley, Amanda and Derek; nephews John Plewes of Naples, Florida and Don Plewes of Toronto, Ontario; niece Pam Schmidt of Napanee, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husbands Dr. Campbell Plewes and Dr. James Eversole; her sons James Plewes and Dr. John Plewes and her daughter Mary Plewes; her sister Doris Hardy and her brother James Hawkins. Her courage in the face of so many losses and declining health, her sense of humour and love for her family will be treasured by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
