Victor Turcotte

1916 - 2002

At the Sherwood Park Manor on May 14th, 2002 in his 86th year. Survived by his former wife Alice Giles. Dear father of Victor Turcotte of Toledo, Simone Tut of Toronto, Russell Turcotte of Kemptville, Ann Foltz of Boone, Iowa, Roger Turcotte of Edmonton, Paulette DuPerron of Prescott, Margaret LeCours of Smiths Falls, Florence Turcotte of Mattawa, Shirley LeClair of Winchester, Bill Turotte of Cardinal and Patricia Feenstra of North Augusta. Also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville from Wednesday, May 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Victor's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 16th at 2.30 pm. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville General Hospital will be gratefully acknowledged.

William J. "Bill" Andre

1911 - 2002

On Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Brockville General Hospital; William Joseph Andre in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Wilda Mary Kilby. Loving father of Cheryl and her husband Tom Nicholas of Ottawa, and Diane and her husband Terry Halpenny of Lyn. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Scott Halpenny (Leann), Andrea Crook (Shawn) and Natalie Nicholas; and by great granddaughter Chloe. Also survived by brothers Mike Andre, Philip Andre (Gwen) all of Smiths Falls and Jeannette Balfe of Lombardy, and a brother-in-law Boyce (Red) Ritchie. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Albert, Roland and Victor Andre, Simone Clarke, Anita Armstrong and Lucille Ritchie.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, May 17th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Saturday, May 18th at 10am. Interment to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged. Officers and Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 96 will hold the Legion Tribute on Friday evening at 7pm and Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 1049 are requested to gather for fraternal prayers on Friday evening at 7:30pm.

John William "Bill" Hagen

1952 - 2002

Suddenly at the Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at the age of 49 years. Dear son of Elizabeth Hagen of Brockville and the late Norman Hagen. Bill is also survived by his daughter Jessika Doré of Quebec and by sisters Sheila and her husband Bob Yates of British Columbia and Ann Cummings of Kingston. Fondly remembered by the family cat Mr. Magoo and by all his friends.

Family and friends are invited to a gathering at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Hagen, 41 Cochrane Drive, Apt. # 5, Brockville on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. In memory of Bill, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland with interment in at a later date.

Harry Francis Leizert

1919 - 2002

Entered into rest at his home in New Dublin on May 20, 2002 surrounded by his family in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Snooky) Kelly. Loving stepfather of Lorne Veley (Christine) of Cardinal, Dorothy Simpson (Shawn) of Morrisburg, Donna Vandodewaard (Erik) of New Dublin, Debbie Vandodewaard (Peter) of Iroquois, Jamie Veley (Donna) of Belleville, Scott Veley of Surrey B.C., Judy Lamonte and, Paula Veley both of Smiths Falls . Daughter-in-law of Shirley Veley of New Dublin. Also survived by 28 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a stepdaughter Elizabeth (Bunny) Kelly and a step son Clarence (Sonny) Veley.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East Brockville from Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Harry's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at New Dublin Cemetery. In memoriums to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.

Lloyd Walter Feig

1924 - 2002

Entered into rest at Sherwood Park Manor on May 22, 2002 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Shirley Feig. Dear father of Roger Feig (Linda) of Brockville, Beverley Hunks (Carl) of Brantford, Donnie Feig (Kathy) of Calgary, David Feig (Jane) of Brockville, Melvin of Surrey, B.C., Marilyn Liversuch (Ralph) and Jacqueline Campbell all of Calgary. Also survived by grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son Malcolm Feig.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Friday from 12 noon until 1 o'clock when services will be held in the chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. In memoriums to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Gordon D. Brown

1936 - 2002

At the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, on Friday, May 23rd, 2002; Gordon Denis Brown at the age of 65 years. Beloved husband of the former Marjorie Giffin. Loving father of Cecil and David (Valerie) all of Brockville, Donna Roadhouse (Darcy) of Oakville, Allan (Tracey) of R.R. 2 Brockville, Heather Baker (Tom), Gloria Perry (Blake), and Tim (Danielle) all of Brockville. Fondly remembered by twelve grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Margaret Weir (Purvis) of Algonquin, and Douglas Brown (Gloria) of Brockville; and brothers and sisters-in-law Alvin & Gladys Giffin, and Larry & Paulette Dochstader. Predeceased by his son Jamie.

William W. Grant

1924 - 2002

On Saturday, May 25, 2002 at St. Lawrence Lodge; William Wilson Grant at the age of 78 years. Dear brother of Jean Seguire & her husband Jack of Parksville, B.C. Loved uncle of Sue and Jeff. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Marion (Wilson) Grant. Mr. Grant retired from the Royal Brock (Skyline Hotel) where he worked many years as bookkeeper. He had also worked at the Brockville Eaton's store.

Family and friends gathered for a service at the graveside, Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland, on Tuesday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville, is serving the Grant family.

Cecil (Sietze) VanBruggen

1930 - 2002

Suddenly on Saturday, May 25, 2002; Cecil VanBruggen of Tincap in his 72nd year. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Hendrikje, and by his wife Shirley. Survived by his brothers, Harry of R.R. 1 Delta, Andy (Joan) of St. George, and Allan of Ottawa, and by his sister Jennie of Brantford. Fondly remmebered by nephews Lee (Jennifer) of Greenbush, Jamie of Edmonton, Andrew of Trenton, and Frank (Virginia) of Pickering; nieces Patti (Peter) and Jill (Ian) of Ottawa, and Janet of Woodstock; and by special friends Wendy and Jim Hudson.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Cremation to take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged.

Pauline Edna May Wilson

1919 - 2002

Suddenly on May 26, 2002 at the Brockville General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Albert Wilson. She is survived by her daughter of Patricia of Nova Scotia, granddaughter Cherith Wilson of Brockville and grandson Nathan Wilson of Smiths Falls. Predeceased by her sisters Maisie and Doris.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East Brockville. There will be no visitation or funeral service. In memoriams to St. Paul's Anglican Church or the C.N.I.B will be gratefully acknowledged. Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Cremation and Tribute Centre, Maitland.

Inez Bissonnette

1930 - 2002

On Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville; the former Inez May Williams at the age of 72 years. Beloved wife of Arthur Bissonnette. Dear sister of Jean (Mrs. Lloyd Tasker) of Blyth, and Edward Williams of R.R. 5 Brockville. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law Don Bissonnette of Rochester, John Bissonnette, Allan Bissonnette & his wife Shirley, all of Brockville, as well as by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Wayne Bissonnette, by her sister Violet Quinn, and her brother Norman Williams.
