Henry John "Torchy" Weeden

1919 - 2002

Squadron Ldr. (retired) DFC

Passed away peacefully at the Parkwood Hospital, London, on Sunday, September 15th at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Weeden (nee Clark). Loving father of Barbara Jones and her husband Wayne of Irving, Texas; Nancy Mitten and her husband Gerry of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Devon Weeden of London. Fondly remembered by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters Elsie Joan Kline of Halifax, NS, and Alice Andrina Harrison of Ville La Salle, PQ. Born on the Shetland Islands, Scotland, Mr. Weeden was the son of the late Henry Charles and Andrina (Smith) Weeden. He was also predeceased by his sister Mary Ellen Chapman.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In celebration of Torchy's life, a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, September 21st at 10am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 96, are requested to gather for the Legion Tribute Friday at 7pm. In remembrance, donations to Palliative Care c/o the Parkwood Hospital Foundation, London, will be gratefully acknowledged.

Joan Gandier

1925 - 2002

At the Brockville General Hospital on November 17, 2002. Joan Gilmour Gandier in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late John Carlyle Gandier. Dear sister of Judith Caldwell (Geoffrey) of Prescott. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Alexandra (Lexie) Tizzard (Raymond), Jamie Auld (Lisa), Cynthia Caldwell, Kathryn Caldwell (Robert Miller), Robert Caldwell, and Bob and Jamie McPherson. Predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law Nancy and James Auld and by her parents Alan Gilmour and Helen Barker Gilmour Maclaren.

A celebration of Joan's life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 12 noon in the Chapel of Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. The family will receive friends from 11am until the time of the service, and at a reception to follow. Interment in the Old Brockville Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Diabetes Centre at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital or the Ontario College of Art and Design will be gratefully acknowledged.

Douglas Mason Proctor

1928 - 2002

Passed away suddenly at home, Brockville, on Saturday, November 23, 2002 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of fifty years to Moira (Killfeather). Loving father of Jo-Ann of Beaconsfield, Jill (Chris Cuggy) of Montreal, and Marylou (Roger Fraser) of Napanee. Loved and remembered by his grandchildren Caitlin, George, Maris and Erin. Dear brother of Marilyn Rollo and Gordon Proctor. Predeceased by his brother Stevie. A native of Ottwaburn Park, long term resident of Beaconsfield, and retired to Brockville.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Sunday from 7-9pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In celebration of Douglas' life a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1:30pm. Cremation to follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations in lieu of flowers to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Loretta Culhane R.N.

1924 - 2002

Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, November 29, 2002. Loretta Scully at the age of 78 years. Wife of the late John "Jack" Culhane. Loving mother of John Culhane (Lynn) of Ottawa, Cathy Muir (Bruce) of Kingston, Dan Culhane (Dorothy), Chris Culhane (Gail) and Shirley Culhane all of Brockville. Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Andrew, Beth, Michael, Chelsea, Shanna, Stephanie Jones, and Tammie Sluytman. Also survived by her brother Daniel Scully and a cousin Daniel Mulvihill both of Renfrew. Fondly remembered by her aunt and uncle Catherine and Michael Mulvihill of Detroit. Predeceased by her sister Stella McNulty.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Liturgy of the Christian funeral will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery followed by a gathering in the funeral home reception centre. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully acknowledged. Member of the Catholic Women's League will gather for the recitation of the Rosary on Monday at 3 pm at the funeral home

Robert LeClair

1963 - 2002

At Kingston. Robert Earl LeClair in his 40th year. Beloved son of Rennie and Earl LeClair. Dear brother of Danny LeClair of Brockville and Debbie Fox and husband Charles of Maitland. Dear uncle of Michael and Matthew Fox and Cameron and Courtney LeClair. Also survived by several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Andrew Law Linton

1925 - 2002

Suddenly at his home on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Jane Hutton Lawrence. Loving father of Annette and her husband Keith Carruthers of Montreal, John Linton and his wife Pauline of Scotland and Diane and her husband John Panter of Brockville. Dear grandfather of Steven, Gary, Adam, Hutton and Alexandra. Brother of Nan and her husband Bill Stewart of Scotland. Predeceased by his grandson Kenneth.

A ceremony in celebration of Andrew's life to be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday, December 9th. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

David Gary Kiperchuk

1951 - 2002

Suddenly at home in Addison at the age of 51. Cherished father of Michael and Thomas of Ottawa. Beloved son of Helen Kiperchuk and the late Nazary Kiperchuk. Dear brother of Daria, Danny, Dale, Daryl, Daphne and Damon. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. David will be sadly missed by all. He was a graduate of McGill (Class of '71) and a former employee of Revenue Canada.

A private family gathering will be held on Thursday, December 12th at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland, where cremation will take place.

At the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at the age of 76 years. Husband of the late Hilda Doris Race. Dear father of Chuck Moore and his wife Debbie, Rick Moore and his wife Cindy and Donna Fox and her husband Bill all of Brockville. Grandfather of Johnna of Niagara Falls, Alex, Erin and Rachel all of Brockville. Also survived by his sister Marjorie of Ottawa and by several nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Vickie and her husband Bill Long and their family of Carleton Place. Predeceased by two brothers Alfred and Bruce and by his sister Dorothy.

A graveside ceremony will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Thursday, November 21st at 2:30 pm followed by a reception in the Roselawn Tribute Cente. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.
