Henk Breimer
1924 - 2002

On December 25th 2002, after a brief illness, Riek's devoted husband of 52 years and our precious loving father was taken home to be with his Lord during his 79th year. He will be sadly missed, as he lived a humble life of kind and gentle service to many. " He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty " ( Psalm 91: 1 )

He is lovingly remembered by his dear wife Riek and his children, Jane with the Lord) and (George), Marg and (Gus), Theo and (Mary), John and (Elly), Ed and (Joann) and many grandchildren.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service celebrating his life on earth and his new home in Heaven will be held at The Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Windsor Drive Brockville on Saturday December 28, at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In memoriams to Bethel Christian Reformed Church or the Redeemer University College, Ancaster, will be gratefully acknowledged.

Dolores "Do" McKinnel (nee Decarie)
1927-2002

Peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on December 26th 2002 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of John (Jock) for 54 years. Loving mother of Wendy, James, Karen (Tim) and Bruce (Frances). Dear grandmother of Kim and Kelly Terceira and Haley McKinnel.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday from 11am until 12 noon when a celebration of Do's life will be held in the Chapel followed by a gathering in the funeral home reception centre. Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland. In memoriams to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care or the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre will be gratefully acknowledged.

Gerald McBroom
1921 - 2002

At the Brockville General Hospital on December 29, 2002 in his 82nd year of R.R. 4 Prescott. Son of the late Walter McBroom and Florence Amelia Ferguson Brimson. Dear father of Cheryl Maxwell (John) of R.R. No. 5 Brockville, Donna and Robert McBroom of Brockville. Dear brother of Gladys Whitehorne (James) of North Augusta. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his twin sister Marion Bell.

Family and friends may call at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East Brockville from Thursday 2- 4 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel on Friday January 3, at 11 am. Interment will be at Maynard cemetery. In memoriums to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Wilma Escott
1934 - 2002

At her residence on December 28, 2002. Wilma Caroline Escott in her 69th year. Wife of the late Keith Escott. Dear mother of Caroline Escott and her husband Bill Steele of Toronto and Ronnie Escott of Toronto. Dear sister of Peter Blair and Bernard Dooley of Brockville. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Danny Blair (Cathy) ,Barbara and their children. Predeceased by a daughter Brenda Escott and by a brother Victor Sheets.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Friday, January 3rd from 12 noon until 2pm when funeral services will be held in the Chapel. Audrey M. Lennox (Umgeher)
1929 - 2003

On Saturday, February 1, 2003 at the St. Vincent De Paul Hospital at the age of 73 years. Wife of the late Rupert Umgeher and Archie Lennox. Beloved mother of Robert Umgeher (late Judy) of Edmonton, Peter Umgeher and David Umgeher (Cathy) all of Brockville. Loving grandmother of Ryan Ansell, Peter Jr., Nicole, Nadine, Royce and Austin Umgeher. Dear sister of Theresa Smith (Stan), Donna VanLeeuwen (Nick), Elizabeth Bosco (Harold) all of St. John NB, Margaret Sceifers (Bill) of South Carolina, Jean Donaldson (late Bill), Diane Orr (Jim), Donald Durant (Colleen), David Durant (Ann) and John Durant (Carol) all of St. John NB. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Stanley & Edith Durant, and a brother Frederick Durant (Josephine).

The celebration of the Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Francis Xavier Church Tuesday at 10:30am. Cremation and interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.

Donald Robert McMahon
1941 - 2003

At the Brockville General Hospital on February 2, 2003 at the age of 62 years. Son of the late Robert and Hazel ( Hunter ) McMahon. Dear father of Donald McMahon ( Dawn Thomas ) and Theresa McMahon all of Brockville and Valerie McMahon of Winnipeg. Also survived by six grandchildren, and by his former wife Janet Lowe and her husband Terry of Brockville, as well as several brothers and sisters. Predeceased by an infant son William.

Private arrangements are with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Cremation was held at the Roselawn Crematorium and Tribute Centre, Maitland. Interment will be in Palgrave at a later date.

Wendy Lou Countryman
1956 - 2003

On Wednesday, February 5th, 2003 at the Kingston General Hospital after a brief illness; Wendy Lou (Forsyth) Countryman at the age of 46 years. Beloved wife of Lloyd Countryman of R.R. 2 Brockville and loving mother of Matthew Countryman. Loving daughter of Joyce Young and stepdaughter of Delbert Young. Predeceased by her father Raymond Forsyth. Dear sister of Ronnie Forsyth of Brockville. Daughter-in-law of Milfred and the late Alice Countryman, and sister-in-law of Gene & Marsha Countryman, June Timanus, Brian & Sandra Countryman, Irene & David Yanko, Terri & Jim Kinch, Dale & Nancy Countryman, and Glen Countryman. Fondly remembered by her grandmother Irene Polley of Brockville, her uncle Gary Polley (Nancy) of London, her aunt Joan Korim (Julius) of Prescott, by her nieces and nephews and dear friends Don and Lois Grant.

In celebration of Wendy's life a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance donations to the Kingston General Hospital I.C.U. will be gratefully acknowledged.

Peter Kuntz
1918 - 2003

At the Brockville General Hospital on February 6th, 2003 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Alice Bissonnette. Dear father of Brian Kennedy and his wife Patricia of R.R. 1, Lansdowne. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer of Toronto and Robert of Kanata. Also survived by his brother Phil Kuntz and by sisters Kay Walker, Tilly MacNammara, Jean Jennings and Beatrice Kuntz all of British Columbia. Predeceased by his daughter Elaine Cherry.

The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church on Saturday at 10 am. A reception will follow at the Irvine Funeral Home Reception Centre, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland.

In memoriams to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Marcia Mae Renwick "NAN"
1913 - 2003

At the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, February 9, 2003, Marcia Mae Throop at the age of 89 years. Wife of the late Clemens Renwick. Loving mother of Donna and her husband Donald Johnson of Charleston Lake. Special nan to her grandchildren Debra (Wayne) LaBarge of Kingston, David (Lisa) Johnson of Lyn and Dianne Johnson (friend Harold) of Charleston Lake and great grandchildren Tori, Christi and Tim LaBarge, Brian, Cody, Kirsten and Mitchel Johnson. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by her parents Edith Francis and Amos Throop, by her sisters Myrtle Brown and Anna Billings and by her brothers Alden, Clifford and Jim Throop.

A celebration of Nan's life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1 o'clock followed by interment at Oakland cemetery. The Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 96, Ladies Auxiliary will assemble at the funeral Home on Monday at 7 pm followed by the Loyal True Blue, St. Lawrence Lodge # 475 at 7:15 pm for memorial tributes.

Suddenly on February 11, 2003 while in Montreal enjoying his life long passion - hockey. Joseph William Shipton of Mallorytown at the age of 59. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Malloch) Shipton. Loving father of Jim & his wife Josie, Ted & his wife Mitzi, and Marion & her husband Joey McGahey. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Jessie, Joey, Joelle, Jessica and Robert. Dear brother of Sandra Johnson of Richmond Hill and Bill Shipton and his wife Rachel of Oakville. Also survived by his uncle Doug Shipton and his wife Gladys of Scarborough and by several nieces and nephews.

In celebration of Joe's life, services will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church (Pine at Park Street, Brockville), on Friday, February 14th at 11 am. All are invited to wear a touch of "Red" - Joe's favourite colour. Cremation will follow at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Lung Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
