It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Paul will be sadly missed by his beloved daughter Chelsea, parents Stephen & Winifred, sisters Cecilia (Mike), Anne (Pat), brothers Stephen, Christopher (Jeanette), Keith (Helen), and his treasured nieces & nephews. Paul was an accomplished electrician, avid photographer and in recent years realized his lifelong dream of owning a sailboat. His wisdom, kindness, fun-loving sense of humour and insightful advice will be deeply missed. A gathering of friends and family will take place at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (905-527-0405) BURLINGTON on Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. Vigil service for Paul will be held at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 2016 Blairholm Ave. (at Brant Street), Burlington on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre cemetery , Burlington. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Homewood Volunteer Association Addiction Division, Guelph.

Bahadur (nee Ramnaraine), Rupwantee "Ruth"
1922-2009
It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the death of our beloved mother and grandmother in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 11, 2009. She was born in La Penitence, Guyana on December 27, 1922 and led a rich and full life. Predeceased by her husband David Augustus. Mother and mother-in-law of Grace Boodhoo (Reginald), Richard Tula (Stephanie-Ann), Gloria Mallay (Cedric), Kenneth Bahadur (Ida), Corinne Lye-Richard (Michael) and Rodwin Bahadur (Jacqueline). Grandmother of John (deceased), Alison, Bryan, Catherine, Melissa, Elizabeth, Nadia and Austin. Great-grandmother of Aissa. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, BURLINGTON (905-527-0405) on Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Bay Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday June 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodland cemetery , Hamilton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cancer Assistance Program (www.cancerassist.ca) would be appreciated.

BABIARZ, Wladyslaw (Walter)
1928-2009
Peacefully at home, following a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, December 18, 2009, in his 82nd year. Loving husband of Maria and predeceased by wife Eugenia. Always loved by children Janina Lako (Alex), Jozef (Maria), Anna Jalowica and Zenon (Elzbieta), and grandchildren Christopher (Katherine), David, Victoria, Christine, Catherine and Amanda. Survived by sisters Bronislawa Cholewa and Janina Mazun. Predeceased by brothers Frank, John and Joseph, and sister Maria. Also surviving are numerous family and friends in Canada, USA, and Poland.
Walter retired from NEO Industries with over 25 years service. Walter remained active within the Polish Church Community.
The family would like to give thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Mt Sinai Hospital as well as sincere appreciation to Dr Jaskot and the Community Care Nursing Staff for their care and compassion.
Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Rd E, HAMILTON (905.574.0405), on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from 7-9pm, and Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held on Sunday at 3pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Stanislaus Roman Catholic Polish Church on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 10am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St Stanislaus Church Renovation Fund would be appreciated by the family.

1936-2008
Peacefully at her home on Thursday November 27, 2008 in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Aspy. Loving mother of Sarosh Ayrton and his wife Brenda, and Kamille TenBrinke and her husband Rob. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Natalie and Trevor Ayrton, and Tristan Ten Brinke. Cherished sister of Mehroo Arjani and her husband Minoo; and brother Sammy Minocher and his wife Yasmeen, as well, many nieces and nephews. Homai will be sadly missed by her many friends and family, especially her Luscombe street gang. Visitation was held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East (between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa) HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. Cremation.

Arnold, Norman Ralph "Nin"
1935-2009
Peacefully with family by his side at St. Peters Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday, September 24, 2009 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Verna. Loving father of Theresa, Rick (Donna), Chris (Lisa), Rob (Janine), Joanne (Danny). Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Lauren, Mark, Corey, Lucas, Jacob, Isaac, Kelli, Greg, Josh, Brody, Katie, Justin, and Shane. Dear brother of Devy (Erna), Doreen (Ron), Margaret, Eleanor (Hugh), Bill (Penny), Bob (Lil), Bernie (Joanne), Ron, Doug (Marilyn), and Walter (Sue). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Much loved nephew of Aunt Irene. Norm enjoyed his Saturday afternoons at the Legion, Branch #163 where he shared many stories with his buddies. Fondly remembered by his friends at his trailer on Lake Erie at Shady Akers Trailer Park. He began his career as a bricklayer then proceeded onto the Hamilton Police Department, Dofasco, and retired from Brinks Canada. A special thank you to Dr. Beverly Hattersly and the angels of St. Peter’s Hospital 3 East for their love and care of Norm. Also special thanks to all the other medical professionals who cared for him during his courageous fight with cancer. Armstrong, Ernest "Ernie"
1935-2009
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Ernie Armstrong at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton in his 74th year. He passed peacefully with his loving family at his side. Ernie was the beloved and devoted husband of Sydney (nee Silvera) for 49 years. Ernie suffered with Parkinson’s for over 18 years. Sydney is honoured to have cared for him at home with the help of family and close friends until his final days. Proud and loving father of Ron and his wife Kelley, and Wendy Piedimonte and her husband Gerry. Loving grandfather of Jeremy and Joshua Piedimonte. Ernie was respected and loved by his family and friends. Ernie was a longtime and retired employee of Honeywell, where he was a well respected businessman. The family would like to thank Dr. Paulseth for his long term care, and 2W of St. Peter’s Hospital for the compassionate care they gave Ernie in his final week. Peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 19, 2009 Kay joined her loving husband Bill. Cherished mother of Carolyne (Lynn Lambert), Phyllis (Gerry Topp) and John (Barbara).Beloved grandmother of Janet- Lynne, Denise, Stephen, Geoff, Julie, Ryan, and Paul. Beloved Great grandmother of Caleb, Isaac, Makayla and Katelyn. Predeceased by her brothers August, Carl, Robert and Jack Kimmel. Survived by her sisters in law Vi, Rita, Thelma and predeceased Lillian. Most important to Kay was her family, friends and church. She was a long-standing member of St. John United Church. 1931-2009
Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the age of 78. Loving mother of Tim (Jane), Kathy (Jason), Valerie (Rob), Kimberley (Michael) and Neil (Sonia). Cherished grandma of Colin, Tim, David, Betty and Liam. Dear sister of Ted (Josephine) Hack, Thelma and the late Bob Gromoll. Predeceased by her husband Nello and siblings Doug, Frieda and Irene. Special thanks to the staff of Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for their dignified, compassionate care. Gladys loved life and her family with her whole, spirited heart. She was a fabulous cook who loved a fancy party, a talented dancer with Forever Young and a heck of a good golfer. We’re comforted now by vivid, happy memories of Glady in her high heels and jewellery, dashing off in her convertible Mercedes with the top down! Peacefully on April, 23, 2009 Mary has gone to be with her son Paul after a brave battle with cancer. Loving wife of Nicholas for 56 years. Devoted mother of Dale (Rob) and John (Inese). Cherished grandma of Ashley, Tristan, Cassondra and Tyler. She will also be missed by her brother Jim (Peggy) Maxwell and many family and friends and everyone at the YMCA. Loving grandmother of Mary-Kathryn and Noah. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Stan and her sister Barbara Wielgosz. Dorothy was a gifted artist and a member of the Catholic Women’s League.
