Sandink (nee Hulzebosch), Aaltje "Alice" 1921-2008

Peacefully, at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington surrounded by her family, the Lord took to Himself Aaltje (Alie) “Alice” Sandink, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Hendrik Sandink. Loving mother of John and Tina Sandink, Albert and Rosemary Sandink, Johanna Brown, Jane and Herman Harsevoort, Henry and Attie Sandink, Zwier Sandink, Ava Sandink, Hans and Lesia Sandink, Luke and Sandra Sandink, Gary Sandink, Alice and Gerard Parker, and Michael and Fran Sandink. Predeceased by her son Herman and infant daughter Dina. Loved Opoe and Grandma of thirty three grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Herman and Willie Hulzebosch and sister-in-law of Femmie Hulzebosch of The Netherlands. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (across from the Royal Botanical Gardens), BURLINGTON (905-527-0405) on Thursday from 2 -4p.m. and 7 -9 p.m. Funeral Service at Ebenezer Canadian Reformed Church, 607 Dynes Road, Burlington on Friday May 9th, 2008 at 11 a.m. The Reverend Dr. G. Born September 17, 1922 Satriano, Catanzaro, Italy

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our beloved Antonio Giuseppe Santaguida in his 88th year on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Henderson General Hospital. Son of the late Giuseppe and Teresa and son-in-law of the late Giuseppe and Maria Rosa Tirinato. Survived by Marianna, his loving and devoted wife of 68 years. Will be greatly missed by his children Joe and Franca, Teresa and Ubaldo Gennarini, Marie and the late Italo Borraccetti, Rose and the late Dave Hart, Tony and Susan, Frank, Susie and Marco Oddi. Predeceased by three infant children. Adored Nonno of Marianna and Cesare Maniccia, Anthony and Josie Santaguida, Diana and Sandro Codognotto, Linda and Rob DeIuliis, Christina and Eric Bernar, Anthony Michael and fiancée Lisa Celeste, Marie Anne, Vincent, Robert and Joseph Santaguida, Alessandra Gennarini, Rachel, Michael and Paul Hart, and Angelo, Lianna and Jessica Oddi. ‘Big Nonno’ leaves behind nine great-grandchildren who will miss his treats. Will be sadly missed by brothers and sisters, their spouses and families: Bruno and the late Nina Manella of Jasper, Alberta, the late Maria and Gabriel Farriol of Argentina, Concetta and the late Toto of Montreal, Rosina Riggitano, Teresa and Pietro Ranieri, Mario and Dora, Aurora and Antonio Nocita, and Rocco and Aurora. Will also be missed by sister-in-law Concetta Giorla and her late husband Pietro and families in Satriano, Italy. Antonio lived a full and healthy life. He retired from Santaguida & Sons General Contractors, which he founded in 1964, after many years of hard work and sacrifices in order to raise his family and provide them with a better life. He remained active by driving to the stores for bargains and Shopper’s for Pro-Line. He will be remembered for his charm, sense of humour and always saying “I lost for one point”. The family would like to thank the two “Good Samaritans” who administered CPR and assisted in our time of need.

Vigil Prayers will be said at the Funeral Home on Friday at 4 pm. Funeral Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church 165 Prospect St. N., Hamilton for Mass of Christian Funeral at 9:30 am. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in memory of Antonio to the Canadian Red Cross, Haiti Relief Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Santi, Annamaria 1935-2008

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our adoring wife and mother, on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 in her 74th year, after a valiant and lengthy battle with Lymphoma. Devoted wife of Pierangelo (Angelo), adoring mother of Mauro (Gail), Luca (Tracy), Paul (Sarah), and Laura (Brad), and dear Nonna of Chad, Melissa, Brandon, Devan, Jesse, Layla, Gabriel, Rachel, Becky and Tommy. Anna will be sadly missed by her beloved mother in Italy as well as her five brothers and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. We will always remember the unbelievable strength which Anna displayed in order to achieve her goal of making the trip to Italy to celebrate her mother’s 100th birthday last month. We will all fondly remember her tenacious spirit, faith and sense of humour which she never failed to carry with her throughout her brave battle. A stronger and more courageous woman you would not find. Visitation to be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (across from the Royal Botanical Gardens), BURLINGTON (905-527-0405) on Monday, December 15, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Santucci, Marc Anthony 1949-2010

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marc Santucci on Sunday, July 18, 2010, in his 61st year. Beloved father of Corey and Nick, loving husband of Robin, cherished son of Rosemary and the late Albert Santucci, and son-in-law of Kay Weston, Ron Weston and Adele Brierley. Dearest brother of Angelo (Tracey), Mona, Lisa, Joanne, Matteo (Trish), Teresa, Al (Kelly), Babe (Tony Thoma), and Patricia. Brother-in-law of Ron Weston, Michele and Paul Stephian, and Sara and Matt Winegarden. Marc will be missed by his nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. Visitation to take place at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington, (905-527-0405), located directly behind the Royal Botanical Gardens; Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Marc's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. If desired, donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.

Sarullo, Giuseppe "Joe" 1925-2008

It is with much sadness that the family of Giuseppe Sarullo announce his passing on Monday July 14, 2008. He was such a strong, happy and respected man that we are heartbroken to have lost. He touched the hearts of everyone he met and always greeting them with his much loved smile. He is survived by wife Anna Sarullo who was the love of his life for 53 wonderful years. They were blessed with three wonderful children; daughters, Josie Crimeli (Gino), Nancy LoSchiavo (Mike) and son Ross Sarullo. Such a proud nonno of Daniel Crimeli (Sabrina), Paul Crimeli, Kristen LoSchiavo and Alexander Sarullo. He will also be missed by his brother Pietro Sarullo of Italy, and sister's Maria Giglione, Rosa Campanella and Giovanna Giglione, along with all of their children to whom he had the joy of being a devoted uncle. Giuseppe is now in peace with his parents Giuseppina & Rosario Sarullo and sister Assuntina. Scarfe, Freda 1921-2008

On September 26, 2008, at Hamilton General Hospital, Freda Scarfe, in her 87th year, passed away peacefully. She will be sadly missed by husband Harry. She is survived by 5 children, numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Cremation has taken place, interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau, Ontario. Special thanks to staff and residents of Heritage Green Retirement and Nursing Home, and thanks to the staff at Hamilton General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Schmith, Christine 1947-2008

Peacefully, at home surrounded by her family, Christine, passed away on Monday November 24, 2008. Beloved wife of Rick. Loving mother of Alexis and husband Cameron DiFelice. Cherished nonna to Jersey Grace. Dear sister of Sam Liota and wife Teresa. Much loved aunt of Jake and Cole. Predeceased by her loving parents Grace and Carmelo Liota. Will be sadly missed by her cousins Elsie, Barb, Joanne, Ross, Susan and Darlene and also by her many friends especially Adele and Eithne. Christine was retired employee of the St. Joseph’s Mental Health (formerly H.P.H.). Visitation will be held at the BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East on Wednesday November 26, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil Prayers will be held on Wednesday at 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Regina Mundi Church, 631 Mohawk Road West on Thursday November 27, 2008 at 10 am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery to follow. If desired, memorial donations made to Regina Mundi Church would be appreciated by the family.

Schultz, Gordon Delmar 1926-2009

Peacefully, Gordon left us to be with his Lord, after courageously combating cancer. His Spirit was never defeated. Gordon was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his wife Irene. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in Sept of 2008. He will be missed by his son’s Cal (Marci) and Mark, his daughter Cathie ( David) his grandchildren Jonathan, Olivia, Jesse, Jack, Adam (Eva) Kyle and Brittany. Gord leaves his sister Joyce (Ken) and Tom (Janet). He is predeceased by Melvin (Annalyse), Roy (Evaline), Stanley (Ivy), and Evelyn (Roy). Gord was a much loved Uncle to many nieces and nephews. There are many others who were dear to him who affectionately considered him a Father/Uncle/Papa to them. He is cherished by so many, Gord loved to laugh and share a joke-make your day just that much brighter. There was always a light in his eyes and a playful mirth waiting to engage someone. He loved the poetic and the beauty of the north. He owned Saunders and Schultz Insurance Ltd and was active in insurance until 1998. He was a Real Estate Broker right up until he passed away. Gord and Irene were faithful members of Peoples Church Hamilton. Throughout his life he was best friends with his brother Stan. He lived his life as a good Samaritan. He made the world a little better place for a lot of people. Family will receive friends at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Road East, between Upper Ottawa and Upper Gage) on Thursday April 16, 2009 from 2p.m - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. -9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Peoples Church ( 510 Mohawk Rd W Hamilton) on Friday April 17, 2009 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations to City Kidz would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. The family would like to thank the compassionate staff of the VON and the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their great efforts to assist all of us.

Schuster, Paul 1923-2010

In loving memory of Paul Schuster who passed away peacefully on June 22, 2010 in his 86th year. He is survived by his wife, Maria, his children Brigitte and Thomas, and grandchildren Tanya and Robert. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

A special thanks to the caring staff at Extendacare Hamilton who helped make his last few months comfortable and peaceful.

Loving wife to Samuel (1996). Beloved mother of Sue Dickson, Debbie (Larry) Friday, and Jackie (Rob) Cooke. Cherished Grandma/Nana to Kelli (Russ), Ryen (Lyndsey), Jeremy, Joshua, Alyssa and Tayler. Betty will be forever remembered by many friends and family.

At the Henderson General Hospital on Wednesday August 11, 2010, Albert Scott in his 85th year, beloved husband of Olive(Gwen) for 61 years. Dear Father of Randy & his wife Laura of Hamilton, Bonnie (Mrs. Henry Beier) of McKellar, Ontario, Brian & his wife Pauline of Niagara-on-the-lake. Loving grandfather of Cory, Ashley, Allison, Cameron & Jessica, great grandfather of Avery. Brother-in-law of Wilda Scott.

Former employee of Dofasco for 38 years and World War 2 veteran in the army and the air force. The Scott family would like to thank Marilyn Campbell for her love and support through this time. At the wish of Mr. Scott, cremation has taken place.

A private family service will be celebrated at a later date.
