Loving mother of Ian, of Virginia, Jean Graham (Barry), of Arnprior, Lynn Griffiths (Michael), of Ottawa and Heather Kristjansson (the late Christopher), of Virginia. Predeceased by her daughter Anne Martindale (Red), of Cornwall. Loving Nana of Margaret, Ronald, Marie, Paul, Kelly, Dana, Catherine, Stacey, Neil, Jason, Christopher and Roger. Great Nana of 19 great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Walter Gamble (Verna), of Nova Scotia, and his family. Predeceased by her sister Dr. Mary Gamble of Prince Edward Island. Peacefully with family by her side on July 4, 2009 in her 76th year. Beloved wife for 57 years of Keith Nixon. Dear mother of Patricia Watchorn (Rick), Brian (Martha), Perry (Linda) and Connie Rowsell (Keith). Cherished grandmother of Rick (Kerri), Jay (Katie), Allie, Selby, Mackenzie, Lee, Amy and Brad and great-grandmother of Emma and Spencer. Predeceased by her grandson Jeff Nixon, her brothers Floyd and Hampden and her parents James and Winnifred Scott. Fossmark, Jessie “Jerry”
Peacefully at Carlingview Manor on July 4, 2009 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Evert. Survived by children, Dawn (Larry) Thivierge, Peter and Susan (Peter) Joyce, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Jessie is the retired owner of Jessie Fossmark Real Estate Inc., she was a long time cottage resident of Colton Lake. She enjoyed Curling, Fishing and Golfing at the Renfrew Golf Club where she was a life time member. During WWII she was a civilian driver for the RCN and the Red Cross. Private family arrangements in care of the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated.

Kelly, Michael
Retired – Constable Ottawa Police Department 1967-1995. Peacefully on Thursday, December 18th, 2003. Beloved husband of Judy Kelly (nee Pelletier). Cherished son of Olive “Kenny” Kelly and the late Robert Kelly. Dear brother of Robyn Fitz-Gerald (Loren) and Donna Kelly. Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law Randy Pelletier (Lise Lepage-Pelletier) and Todd Pelletier (Sue Muldoon). Also survived by his mother-in-law Sheila Lawrence (Steve) and by several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by cherished Valli. At Mr. Kelly’s request there will be no visitation or service. In memory of Mike, donations to the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or to the Humane Society of Ottawa-Carleton would be appreciated. Beautiful Baby Jordan was born on June 30, 2009 and passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on July 3, 2009. His life was a brief gift to us but he touched many and was loved deeply by family and friends. Jordan was the son of William Fields and Jill Durant of Stittsville. Grandson of Don and Anne Durant and Stan and Nancy Fields. Great grandson of Stanley Fields and Harold Durant. Nephew of Kelly Durant, Chris Cathcart, and Julia Fields. First cousin of Jennie and Millie Cathcart. In hospital on July 7th, following a brief illness, in his 72nd year. Ron is survived by Dorothy Lang, his companion of 21 years. He is predeceased by brother Donald Green and survived by sister Beverley Spearman (Orrin). Ron will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as his fellow dance friends in the Ottawa Valley and area. Cherished grandmother of Davy, Connie, Andy, Terry, Jamie, Scott, Gregory, Patrick and Jackie, and proud great-grandmother of 29. She will be missed by her sisters Marguerite (Dolly) MacDonald, and Patricia Symon. Predeceased by her brothers James and Robert Mutter. Gontard, Gladys Jane (née Way)
March 10, 1931 ~ July 3, 2009
It is with great sadness that Jane’s family announces her passing. Jane died on July 3, 2009, at the Elisabeth Bruyère Health Centre after a sudden and brief illness. Jane was born in Savage Cove, NL, and spent her youth living in the Straights. She worked as a teacher and a lab technician, then in her 30s met her husband-to-be, François, and began her most important job: mother. After her children became adults, she went to Carleton University to complete her Bachelor of Arts that she began decades before in Montréal at Sir George University. She graduated in 1999. Jane’s great loves were her family and her garden: thick batches of peonies lit up her front yard every June. Jane is predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Ann Maria Way (White) and deeply missed by her sisters Mary Hunt (Mount Pearl, NL) and Marion Coombs (Plum Point, NL) and their families. She is greatly missed by husband François, daughters Denise Gontard Cartwright (Tim), and Lily (Jon), stepchildren Florence Gazzini-Gontard (Pierre), Xavier (Florence) and Agnès, granddaughter Samantha, step-grandchildren Yannick, Mélanie, Victoria, Benjamin and Léah and the most recent addition to the family, great-granddaughter Scarlette Rose.

Moore, Gertrude Della
Peacefully, surrounded by family, she went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 9, 2009, in her 90th year. She will be dearly missed by her children, Lynda (Tom Murtha) and Rick (Faye), by her grandchildren Julie Murtha (Jim Palmateer), Christy Murtha and Leigh (Dave Vyn); by her great grandchildren Abby and Joshua Vyn; and by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother and father, Kate and Edmund Bennett, and by her sisters May South and Gladys Cooke. Kilmartin, Elizabeth (nee Richmond)
Elizabeth, widow of Herbert, born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, November 19th, 1913, passed away at home on December 19, 2003 with two of her granddaughters Simone and Elizabeth, by her side. Loving mother of Albert, Bill (Carol), Christine Wirta, Michael (Darlene), and Roselyne (Pierre Seguin). Predeceased by her father David, mother Mary Ellen, her brothers David and Bill, and her sister Hannah. Survived by her beloved brothers Albert of Ireland and John Richmond (wife Phyllis) of New Zealand, 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews in England, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia. The family wishes to thank Uncle Albert and his daughter Bernadette for travelling from Ireland to be with our mother during the last days of her life. To comply with Elizabeth's long held wishes, her body has been donated to science. There will be no visitation, and no memorial service. Little, Jean Elizabeth
After 90 years on this earth, my mother, Jean Elizabeth Little (Binks) decided it was time to take another journey. She has gone to join her parents, Harry Stuart Binks (former Rotary Governor) and Janet Baird (contralto singer) and her brother Stuart and sister Mavis and her 18 year old grandson Jason Ring. My mother loved to play golf, and dig in her garden. Cherished Mother of Barbara Ring of Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan. Jean will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Ian Stuart Ring (Naomi)and Adam Baird Ring as well as her nieces & nephews and all those whom she met along life’s long journey. May she rest in eternal peace.
