Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Home, on Friday, September 19th, 2003 in his 89th year. Faithfully served his fellow Canadians in both war and peace from 1937 to 1968, as a member of the RCAF, with dignity and integrity. Predeceased by his wife Doris (nee Green) in 2001. Predeceased by his siblings, sister Catherine and brothers Les, Gordon, David, Ian, Ken and Robert. Loving father of Don (Nancy), Sherwood Park, AB and Bobby (Ikuko), Orleans, ON. Proud and loving grandfather of Karen, Ken, Matt, Miki and Donny. A Memorial Service and Internment will be held at the Pakenham Union cemetery on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. passed away peacefully in hospital on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of 65 years to Joyce (nee Baird). Devoted father of Stan (Rita), Lee (Maureen), and the late Valerie Shortell (Gary). Cherished grandfather of Tracy (Niall), Tanya (Brian), Vanessa (Bryn), Linsey (Mark) and Scott (Lisa), as well as great-grandfather of Garrett, Rory, Kylan, Isabelle, and Amelia. Elliott is survived by his brother Ernie Sherman as well as many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Valley Stream Manor and to Joan Dillon for their kind, compassionate and professional care. Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Bayshore Dr and Baseline Rd), Nepean, on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Kauk officiating. Interment at Diamond cemetery , followed by a reception at Bethel United Church, Kinburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Diamond cemetery Fund.

Creighton, Robert Edward (Bob)
Suddenly in Carleton Place, Ontario on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the age of 60. Robert Edward Creighton, dearly loved son of Cleo Kelly and step- son of the late Patrick Kelly. Step-father of Tammy (Edmond) Potter and caring grandfather to Dillon and Brice Potter. Beloved brother of Cleo Creighton-Baker (Pete McPhedran) of Point Edward, ON, Harry (Darlene) of Dartmouth, N.S., Dan (Jan) of Carleton Place, ON and the late Michael Creighton. Lovingly remembered by all his nieces, nephews, great- nephews and close and dear friend Judy Horricks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Almonte on Saturday, November 27 at 11 a.m. In memoriam donations to Holy Name of Mary Church, 138 Bridge St. Almonte, ON K0A 1A0 would be appreciated by the family.

After a valiant battle with cancer, at the Elisabeth Bruyere Centre, on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the age of 69 years. Beloved wife, for 48 years, of Harry. Loving and awesome mother of Kevin and rockin’ mother-in-law to Chantal. She is also survived by her sister Bev (Dr. Bill Bielby), sisters-in-law Jean (Wayne Algar), Glenda (Alan Chatwood), and Louise Scott as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Eric and Grace Cooper, her mother-and-father-in-law Gertie and Gordon Scott, sister-in-law Helen Gaffney (the late Angus) and brother-in-law Howard Scott. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Elisabeth Bruyere – 5th Floor for all the care and kindness shown to Penny and her family. Devoted husband of Elinor (nee Glassford), amazing father to David (Janet) and the late Stephen (Jackie) and extremely proud grandfather of Laura, Matt, Heather, Zack and Tasha. Dad is survived by brothers Larry (Beverly), Gerry (Perri), sister Margaret and sister-in-law Barbara (the late Pat)Harrison and many cherished nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Fred (Harriet), Len (Lois), sister-in-law Betty and brother-in-law Phil Shute and niece Ginny Shute. Smith, Kenneth Gerald

Surrounded by his family, Ken passed away at home on November 26 at age 64. Best friend and much loved husband of 40 years of Marilyn. Proud and loving father of Melissa (John) and Kevin (Tricia). Devoted and delighted grandfather of Allie and Matthew. Cherished son of Mabel and the late Harold Smith. Also missed by a large extended family and many dear friends. Ken loved his family and friends, his work, and his retirement – he loved life and always made the best of both opportunities and challenges. A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Peacefully in hospital surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 28, 2010, age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Michael Carson Kearns (1976). Dear mother of Michael (Jackie), Sharon Skinner (Steve) and Lisa Laferriere (Rick). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Patrick (Christa) and Laura Skinner (James Foster), Meghan and Kevin Kearns and great grandchildren, Sean and Abigail. Dear sister of Lawrence Brune (Lois) of Comox, BC. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Hazel Dederick and Thelma Brune. Fraser, John "Jack" William McIntosh
Retired geologist, economist with Energy Mines and Resources and Indian and Northern Affairs (1963 – 1993) and proud member of the Ottawa Bonsai Society passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 27, 2010. Born in Swan River, Manitoba (1929) Jack graduated from the University of Manitoba (Geology) and acquired a second degree (Economics) from Carleton University. Devoted and loving husband of 55 years to Aline (Bernier); beloved father of Michael (Kathy), Paula and James and adored grandfather of Allyson and Justin. He is also survived by his sister Betty (Goodwin) and many nephews and nieces. Friends and family may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore Dr. & Baseline Rd.) on Friday, December 3 from 1 – 3 and 7 – 9 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Parish (1060 Baseline Road, Ottawa).
