MASON, Stanley -
Peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2001 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 97. Stanley, beloved husband of Peggy Mason. Loved stepfather of Archdeacon David Peasgood and his wife Clara. Loving grandfather of Stephen, Patricia and Michael. A funeral service was held at St. George's Memorial Anglican Church on Monday March 5th at 11 a.m. Cremation. Memorial donations made to St. George's Fund - St. George's Memorial Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Armstrong Funeral Home.

Morrison, Laura Violet -
Age 10 yrs. Suddenly, as a result of a cancerous tumour at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Friday March 2nd, 2001. Beloved & cherished daughter of Don & Kris Morrison. Fantastic sister of David. Dear granddaughter of Flo & Frank Morrison, Marian & Reg Kendirck. Fairy God daughter of Fred & Paula May. Special friend of the Kerstens. She will be sadly missed by all her family, friends & neighbours. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Bowmanville Hospital for all their heroic efforts. Visitation will be held at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will take place at Trinity United Church, Wednesday at 11am. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dr. Emily Stowe Public School for a Memorial honouring Laura would be greatly appreciated by her family

Peacefully, of Markharn/Stouffville Hospital on Friday, March 2, 2001. In his 78th year. Cliff beloved husband of Sylvia Sheppard. Dear father of David and his wife Angela of Morinville, Alberta and Daphne and husband David Nichols of Fall River, Nova Scotia. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Julia, Diana, Kyle Robb and Andrew Nichols. Survived by his sister Miriam Bryan and predeceased by his brother Joseph. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, 23 Main Street South on Tuesday, March 6, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday of 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In Cliff’s memory donations may be made to the Uxbridge Community Care or Canadian Diabetes Association.

Age 80 yrs. (Member of I.O.F. for 60 years). At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Friday March 2nd, 2001. Beloved husband of Jean (Leach) for 57 years. Caring father of Allan & Maxine, Jim & Donna, Roy & Doreen, Betty & Jim Paterson & the late John. Proud "Poppa" of all his grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Helen, Myrtle, Fred, Gordon, Robert & the late Ernie. Visitation will take place at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place at St. Paul's United Church Tuesday 2pm. Spring interment Bethesda cemetery. Donations to the Bowmanville Hospital Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Loving brother of Betty Prescott, Verna Walker, Art Foran and Marie Foran. Predeceased by his parents Ed and Marjorie Foran. Al will be sadly missed by his extended family Archie Muir, Melody and Bruce Hendry and George, April, Katie, Lucas and Emma Sowchuck. Lovingly remembered by Betty Nichols and many other dear fricnds within the community. Dear father of Christopher Edward and his wife Barbara, Sharon Anne and her husband Bruce Park. Loving grandfather of Christopher Robert Lawrence, Jodi Eileen Olenczyuk, Andrew Bruce Park and four great-grandchildren. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge for service in the chapel on Sunday, March 4, 2001 at 1:00p.m. Interment , Park Lawn cemetery , Toronto. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time. Donations may be made to the Versa Care Patient Activity Fund.

(27 + year employee of Dominion Textiles and World War II Veteran of France and Holland.) Peacefully in his sleep on March 1st, 2001, in his 89th year. Survived by his loving wife Betty. Sadly missed by his brother Gordon of Whitby and sister Jessie of Montreal. Lovingly remembered by his 3 sons, Eric and his wife Wanda, Dean and his wife Natalie and Ron and his wife Jane. Dear grandfather of Michael, Ken, Melinda, David, Tanya, Taisa, Larissa and his six great grandchildren. Peacetfully and serenely, surrounded by her family, at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa, on Monday April 30th, 2001, after an inspirational and valiant 15 month battle against metastatic angiosarcoma of the uterus, at the age of 58. Beloved wife of 30 years to John. Caring mother to her eldest son Stephen, son Peter, daughter Veronica, and dogs Sonny and Cleo. Sister-in-law of Nicholas (Catherine) of Thornhill, their son John-Paul and Mary of Vancouver. Fondly remembered by her siblings Tommy, Christy, Monica, Patrick and Lillian in South Africa, Gloria in England, many nephews and nieces and their families in South Africa. Deepest appreciation to family friends and caring nurses of the oncology unit for their support. Dear mother of Mrs. Laura LeBlanc, Miss Elizabeth (Betty) Bourque, Mrs. Aldona and Roy Tippett, Mr. Joe and Bertha Bourque, and Mrs. Odele and Andy Cormier both of Moncton New Brunswick. Loved sisterof Alex Bastarche of Moncton New Brunswick. Predeceased by two sisters, Mamie Martin, and Mary LeBlanc and two Brothers, Levi and Denis Bastarche. Lovingly remembered by 6 grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great great grandchild. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King St. E. Oshawa. Mass of Christian Burial, will be Celebrated, on Thursday May 3rd, 2001, 10:30 AM at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church. Interment , Resurrection cemetery. Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday May 2nd, 2001 At 7:30 PM. Memorial donations to the Lung Association, would be Appreciated by the family. HAGERMAN, Edna -
Peacefully, in her sleep after a stroke, on Monday, April 30th 2001. Edna (nee Brown) in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Hagerman. Dear daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Brown. Loving mother of Hilary and her husband Barry Windover, Lindsay and her husband Kaes Van Hamburg and Meredith and her husband Tom Lang. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Byron Allin, Christopher Fowler, Shannon and Sean Windover. Dear sister of Betty Palieri of North Carolina. Edna was proud of her contribution and years of service as Executive Assistant to the President of Durham College. At Edna's request a private family service will be held on May 4th, 2001 at The Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations to Fosterbrooke Long Term Care Facility would be greatly appreciated. Edna's family would like to express their deep felt thanks and appreciation for the loving attention and care given to Edna by the staff at Fosterbrooke, Newcastle, and to the Palliative Care Team who provided 24 hour comfort and peace to Edna and her family in her last days.

Holden, Bryan T. -
(Employed with Coca-Cola Ltd. for 20 years and with Hostess Frito-Lay for nearly 20 years). Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday April 30th, 2001. Much loved by Eileen Bell, loving twin brother of Owen, cherished brother of Myra and the late Phil Bartholmew. Son of Thomas and the late Marion Holden. Will be especially missed by brother-in-law Jim Darnley and wife Betty and brothers and sisters-in-law Jim & Greta Bell, Joyce Murray, Wally and Sandy Bell, Jack and Betty Bell and Bill and Jean Gibeault. Bryan was honoured to be the uncle of all his nieces and nephews whose love and affection meant so much to him. Great nieces and nephews Jason, Justin, Emma, Shayla, Dana, Alex, Josh and Michael, Kristie and Katie, Carissa and Darren and our sweet babies Cole and Skylar who all brought special joy to his life. Also, special uncle Bryan to Andrea, Mark and Derek. A celebration of Bryan's life will be held at the home of his dear nephew and niece Steve and Gabe, 964 Grandview St. N., Oshawa, on Saturday, May 12, 2001 from 1-5p.m. Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
