Entered into rest at Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Whitby on Saturday, May 12, 2001 in her 87th year. Laurene, beloved wife of the late Omer. Dear sister of Luella Sills. Fondly remembered by her friends Isaac and Beatrice Lepard. Mrs. Edgeley will rest at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Service at St. Mark's United Church (201 Centre Street South, Whitby) on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at 11 a.m. Interment GROVESIDE cemetery.

MARTEL, Agatha -
passed away at home on Saturday May 12th, 2001 in her 86th year. Mother of Jeannine, Yolande, Jill, Jack, Dorothy, Jinnette, Mark, Doris & Shirley and predeceased by 3 daughters, Bibianne, Venita and Venita and 2 sons John & Ivan. Grandma of 34 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Formerly of Grand Bank, Newfoundland, age 86 years. At Scarborough General Hospital on Saturday, May 12, 2001. Beloved wife of the late Caleb Penwell. Lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses, Dorothy and Malcolm, Bea and Kevin, Charles and Rebecca, Wilson and Greer, Morgan and Andrea, and Betty and Bob. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Morgan, Andy, Tim, Mary, Fred, Robert and Lynne, and six great- grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Thomas, Robert, Edward and Alyssa. Lydia is survived by her sisters Georgie, Maggie and brothers Rob and Bill and predeceased by her brothers Arch, George and William. Peacefully after a brief illness, in her 61st year, at Oshawa General Hospital on May 11, 2001. Beloved daughter of Margaret Smith of Vero Beach, Florida and the late Art Smith. Sister to Michelle and husband Brian of Toronto, and Pat of Minto, New Brunswick. Granddaughter of the late John and Alma Hunt. Dear friend of Claude Shields of Oshawa. Retired Air Canada Flight Attendant. Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held on Saturday, May 26 at 3 p.m. at the Alano Club, 200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa (905-433-9727). Suddenly, at the Ajax & Pickering Health Centre, on Friday, May 11, 2001, in her 58th year. Linda Morgan, loving mother of Debbie, Brenda, and Ian. Loving grandmother of Brandon, Kirsten, Jamie and Jacob. Daughter of the late Gordon and Lillian Morgan. Dear sister of Eric and David. Linda will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. SENESE, Mary Lynn (Campbell) -
Mary passed away following a long battle with ALS, at home among her family on May 11, 2001 in her 50th year. She leaves behind her husband Ted and daughters Meghan, Lindsay and Laura in Uxbridge, Ontario. She also leaves her sisters Sandra of Whitby, Anna Mae (Domenic Vaccaro) of Niagara Falls, brothers David (Pat), Paul (Michelle Lamont) and Peter all of Toronto; nieces Katherine, Mary Elizabeth, and nephews Colin, Matthew and Daniel John. She is predeceased by her parents Dr. Don L. Campbell and Eileen Campbell. Mary is the beloved daughter-in-law of Betty Ann Senese Nelson (Don) of Niagara Falls, and sister-in-law to Marilynne Senese and Ernst Kuglin of Stirling and Donna Senese of Kelowna B C. She will be sadly missed by her teaching colleagues and those whom she has gently guided as a teacher over the past 27 years. The funeral will take place Wednesday, May 16th at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Uxbridge at 1 p.m. Visitation at LOW and LOW Funeral Home, Uxbridge on Tuesday, May 15th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. If you wish, please donate to the ALS Society, Canada in Mary's memory.

POWELL, June Audrey -
June Powell (nee Lewis) of Barrie, originally from Altona and later of Leaskdale, passed away on May 10, 2001, in her 54th year, after an extremely courageous battle with cancer. Loving mother of Geoffrey Powell of Bradford and Michael Powell of Keswick. She is survived by her father Fred Lewis of Barrie and her brothers and sisters Jean Harper, Shirley Hanson, Roy Lewis, Joyce Johnson, Helen Hamerston, Earl Lewis and Lorne Lewis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Ruth Lewis and her brother Terry Lewis. Friends may call at O'Neill Funeral Home, 6324 Main Street, Stouffville, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service Tuesday 1 p.m. at Stouffville Missionary Church.
