Past President Rebekah Assembly of Ontario Veteran Member of Hazel Rebekah Lodge #40 Peacefully at Central Park Lodge, on Monday, November 21, 2005, in her 93rd year. Beloved daughter of the late George Frederick and Florence May Miller. Life long friend of the late Margaret “Tiny” Burns of Toronto. Former long time member of St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church. Funeral Service will be at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 289 Spencer Street on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated . A special thanks to Dorothy and the Central Park Lodge staff for their kindness and tender care of the lat seven years.

Suddenly on Monday, November 14, 2005 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of 52 years of Joyce (nee Ridley). Loving father of Donna, Wendy (Steve Scanlon), Vicki (Fern Blais), Holly (Geoff Wilson) and the late Gregory. Cherished grandfather of Angela, Jathina, Jesse, Isabelle, Philip, Michelle and Heather. Dear brother of Thelma MacMillan. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Clifford was a Past President of the Bell Telephone Pioneers, Past President of EOSARDA and one-time Editor and contributor to Square Time Magazine, and contributor to Up the Gatineau. He was a 19-year volunteer at the Museum of Nature and a 15-year volunteer at the Museum of Civilization. His travels throughout Canada and the World were among his many varied interests. Friends may visit at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 139 Valley Road, Wakefield, Quebec on Saturday, November 19, 2005 from 10:00am until service time in the Chapel at 11:00am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Suddenly at home on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, age 57 years. Long time partner of Marilyn Malcolm and friend to her children Deborah (Darrin Cowell) and their daughter Jenny; and Daniel and his daughter Cari. Predeceased by his parents Maurice Rainville and Ailene Neault. Dear brother of Philippe (Doris), Leo, Paulette, Jacques (Agnes), Joceline, Daniel (Marlene) and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, November 18 at 11 a.m. Interment in Renfrew. Those wishing, may make memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

(nee Currie) Peacefully at Carleton Lodge on November 17, 2005 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Smiley. Loving mother of Angela Hantzis. Predeceased by two sisters and one brother. Survived by her nephews Garry Jodoin, her niece Dorothy Sadler and her extended family Dennis, Tonia, Peter and Paul Kelly. Melba slipped away as quietly and peacefully as she lived her life, comforted by the love of her daughters, Sharon and Mary Ann. Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Andrew (Terry) Smythe. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharon Henthorn and Mary Ann Smythe, sons-in-law Lincoln Henthorn and Phillip Massad, grandchildren Debbie (Raymond Shank), Jason (Tamara Despres) and Joanne (Andrew Lauzon). Special Big Grandma to Christian, Karina and Quinn. Our heartfelt gratitude to Elizabeth Burgess, whose care and companionship added immeasurably to Melba’s quality of life over the last eight years.
