At Scarborough Centenary Health Centre on Wednesday, September 5, 2001 in his 84th year. Husband of the late Rita Perch (nee Shirley). Survived by his son Garry Perch and daughters Donna Middleton and Linda Perry. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, September 11 from 2 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 3:45 p.m. Memorial donations to the Charity of choice would be appreciated.

SCHNALZER, Louis Vernon -
passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, September 5, 2001. Louis Vernon Schnalzer, son of Hilda Schnalzer andthe late Louis Schnalzer Sr. He was born in Toronto in April, 1940. Raised in Tillsonburg, a well known athlete in hockey and football. Beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart, Dianne Scrimgeour. Doting father of Lisa andhe husband Randy Missen (Cobourg) and Lou Jr. and his wife Melinda (Newmarket). Devoted and adoring grandfather of Lana and Grace Missen, and Claire and Maia Schnalzer. Lou, was a well respected Technical Teacher with theScarborough Board of Education and the Toronto District School Board. He taught at Birchmount Collegiate, Agincourt Collegiate, Yorkdale and finally at David and Mary Thomson where he was the Technical Director until he retired in June of 2001. Lou will be greatly missed by family, dear friends, fellow teachers and the students that he loved so dearly. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, September 10, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Metro Toronto Zoo Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health, Port Perry on Wednesday September 5, 2001 in her 100th year. I. Frances Sutton went home to be with herhusband Reg Sutton. Loving mother of Joyce and Kennedy Gray. Cherished and devoted grandmother of David and Monica Gray. Loving Nana to her great-grandchildren Spencer and Mackenzie. Survived by her loving sister Mabel Dayes and sister-in-law Ivy Elford. P redeceased by her sisters and brothers Elizabeth, William, Verna, Margaret, Ella and Malcolm. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Whitby after a brief illness on Tuesday, September 4th, 2001 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Doris. He will be sadly missed by his children Barbara Young and her husband Don and Heather Angus all of Oshawa, and Bill Angus and his wife Lyn of Lewtston, New York, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peacefully passed away on September 4, 2001 at the Ajax- Pickering Health Centre. Frank, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Janice. Brother of Dorothy Hutt. Harold Noble beloved husband of Dorothy Wagner and dear father of James and his wife Joyce of Aurora, Bruce and his wife Renate of Trenton, Ivan and his wife Marion of Stouffville, Marilyn and her husband Don Davis of Milton. Dear brother of Edwin, Elva Taylor and Muriel Tyson. Survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Died peacefully, in his 92nd year, early on Monday, September 3, 2001. One of Canada’s great naturalists, Dr. Speirs accomplishments and generosity were recognized last year by the Order of Canada. He will be a gentle and inspiring memory for his family, many friends and fellow birders. Predeceased by his wife Doris, he leaves his stepdaughter Iris Weir, his niece Rosemary Speirs, nephews Gordon and David Speirs, granddaughters Adele Koehnke and Margaret Wilson and grandsons Miles Hearn and Phillip Weir, and their families. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Saturday, September 8, 2001 at 9a.m. Interment St. James cemetery. Mary Louise Wilson (Cornish) -
of Vernon, British Columbia, has joyfully arrived Home! We celebrate and remember Mary’s love of life. The brightest moments of her life’s journey involved her family, church, friends, volunteer work, and her association with the PEO sisterhood. Mary died peacefully at the Vernon Hospice House on Monday, September 3, 2001. The family would like to thank all of the nursing and support staff from the Hospice who cared for her. She is survived by her loving husband George who has been her life­long partner and friend for thirty-nine years. Her three children Katherine Mary (Pat) of Barrhead, Alberta, Steven George of Victoria, British Columbia, and Alexander Christo­pher (Jacquie) of Toronto, Ontario. Also her brother James Cornish (Marie) of Oshawa, Ontario, six grandchildren: Chance, Noun, Meghan, Brittany, Brian and Oliver, nieces and nephews Ann (Dan), Lynn (Mike), Bob (Heather), and John. Mary will be missed and remembered dearly by many other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Ewart and Louise Cornish of Oshawa, Ontario. Services were held at Trinity United Church on Thursday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m. officiated by the Reverend Bob Thompson. Mary’s cremated remains will be interred with the family at Union cemetery in Oshawa.
