STINSON, Freda Doreen -
After a courageous battle, entered into rest at the Lakeridge Health Corporation, Oshawa, on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of the late Sam Copeland Stinson. A loving and devoted mom to her 13 children. Treasured grandmother to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be forever in our hearts and forever young. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at 1 pm. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

GELDART, Verna Edith -
At the Northumberland Health Care Centre, Cobourg on Friday, November 2, 2001. Verna Edith Geldart (nee Hyslop) was the beloved wife of Evan Garnet Geldart. Dear mother of Wendy Tripp of Oshawa, Ian (Tamara) Geldart of Oshawa and Mark (Debbie) Geldart of Bowmanville. Grandmother of Darcey Lew, Chad Geldart, Kyle and Tyler Geldart. Sister of Alan Hyslop and his wife Fayeof Moncton, New Brunswick, Joan Young of New Brunswick, Phyllis Belfry and her husband Larry of Oshawa, Gerald Hyslop and his wife Mary of Bowmanville and Verla George and her husband Barry of New Brunswick. Daughter of Minnie and Vernon Hyslop of New Brunswick. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at the MACCOUBREY FUNERAL HOME, 30 King St. E., Cobourg. Interment MOUNT LAWN cemetery , Oshawa, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations in memory of Verna to Lakeridge Hospital Cancer Centre, Oshawa would be appreciated.

Peacefully at the Fairview Lodge, Whitby, on November 2, 2001 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Richard Harry Hill. Loving mother of Richard and the late Grace. Cherished grandmother of Carroll Caden, Rick and Gord Hill. Much adored great grandmother of Jason and Darcie Caden; Zachary Isles, Chloe, Rachel and Ryan Hill. Of 10 children, Elizabeth is survived by herbrother Alec Nicoll and sister Anne, of Scotland, and, brother Walter Nicoll, of Utah. Forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Survived by brothers Hans-Werner and Dieter; sisters, Ingrid and Heike, all of Germany. Bertram, beloved husband of Marion Rideout, loved stepfather of Eileen Rowe. Loved by Amanda and Dillen Brouillette. Bertram will be sadly missed by his loving dogs Monica and Gidget, and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. Fondly remembered by her great nieces and nephews, Tim Paige; Zeke and Seth Scholes; Oliver, Wyoming, Ginger and Denim Webster-Scholes; Bridget and Andrew Campkin; Jennifer and Tammy Daigle, and Melanie Johnson. She will be sadly missed by her many dear friends here and in England. Sister of Irene Carmanico (deceased), Ralph Fraser, Maxine Dubois, Evelyn Levac and Joan Putsey. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
