passed away peacefully at Hiilsdale Manor, Oshawa, Ontario on Tuesday, January 15th, 2002 at the age of 81. Dear son of Francis and Marie O’Brien (predeceased) of Toronto. Dear brother of Mary Donnelly (Hugh) of Sudbury. Dear uncle of Mark, Maureen and Joanne. Williamson, Elma Margaret (Merrick) -
passed away suddenly at her home in Uxbridge on Tuesday, January 15th, 2002, two weeks prior to her 83rd birthday. Sadly missed by her husband Alex, children Sandy, Peter, Jean and their spouses Bette, Dianne, David and her seven grandkids and her 4 great grandchildren. Resting at the Funeral Home of Low & Low, Uxbridge 23 Main Street South on Wednesday, January 16th, 2002 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held from the St. Andrew's Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Uxbridge on Thursday, January 17th, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. with visitation at the church from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to service. Peacefully on Monday, January 14th, 2002, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Francis (Frank). Loving mother of Garry and his wife Pam. Loving grandmother of Carrie (Oshawa), Tracey and her fiance Derek Ravens (Tarpon Springs, Florida) a Jeffery (Oshawa). Predeceased by her parents Mercy and Joseph Greentree. Survived by her brother Clarence (Minerva) Greentree and predeceased by sisters Mabel Paul, May Bunker, Viola Luke, Nellie McBain and Pearl Stacey and brothers William, Gordon, Murray and Ray Greentree. Ruby was a life long member of Sunshine Rebekah Lodge Unit 222 and also member of Harmony United Church and the U.C.W. Willing Workers. GRIFFITHS, Sandra "Sandy" -
Peacefully at Northumberland Hospital, Cobourg on Monday January 14, 2002 at the age of 61. Sandy, beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Annie Griffiths. Loving sister of Ann and her husband Harold Reid, and Margaret and her husband Cyril Weeks. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by all her nieces and nephews and their families. He departed on this, his 56th year, leaving behind his loving wife Penny and his stepchildren Connie, Gordie and Michelle and his faithful companion: Motley. He will be sadly missed, but his time will be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends forever. January 11, 1940 - January 14, 2002. Sadly, on the morning of January 14, 2002, the beloved Ms. Catherine Joice (nee Hofland) passed on peacefully at Markham-Stouffville Hospital. Cathy was the former wife of Gord Joice and the loving mother of Kim Joice of Cobourg, Karen Joice of Pickering, and Lianne and her husband Todd Gallie of London. Beloved Nanny to her grandchildren James, Kyle, Kirsten and Jordan who were the sunshine of her life. Auntie Cathy to her many nieces and nephews. MORGAN, Reginald Gregory -
After a courageous battle with cancer, Reginald Gregory Morgan passed away peacefully, at Lakerdge Health Oshawa, on Monday, January 14, 2002. Reginald, dearly beloved husband of Sandra Stacey; father of Dennis, Paulette and Craig. Reginald was the son of the late Jean and Reuben Morgan, born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Surviving siblings are Dallas, Sharon, Gerald, Angus, Bruce, David and Donald. Reg, a proud Newfoundlander and friend to many was employed by Ontario Power Generation. Reg is sadly missed by his in-laws, Mary and Gord Stacey, Bill Stacey, Susan and Bill Fisher and Nathan and Stacey Fisher. Visitation will be at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 300 Rossland Rd. E. (corner of Ritson Rd. N.) Oshawa, on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Passed into glory peacefully at Lakeridge Health Centre (Uxbridge) on Monday, January 14, 2002 in the arms of his beloved wife Barbara after a courageous battle with cancer, in his 73rd year. Deeply loved and respected by his 6 children Bob, Don, Bev, Gord, Jen and Jan; their spouses Louise, Fay, Rob, Sharon, Phil, and Glenn, and 23 grandchildren Allison, Michael, Chip, Patrick; Shauna, Amber (awaiting him), Craig, Brett, April; Aimee, Jeremy, Mark, Josee; Matt, Krista, Scott, Jason; Katie, Sara, Jeffery; Todd, Lyndsay, Carleigh. Dear brother of Herbert (predeceased), Claude, Gladys, Dorothy, Mary, and Madeline. Well recognized for over 55 years of leadership and entrepreneurship in the Electronics and Telecommunications Industries and the Canadian business community as founder and Chairman of the Lenbrook Group, founder of Clearnet Communications, NAD Electronics, AirIQ and numerous other enterprises; and a mentor and encourager to many. Loved by Baptists across Canada and throughout the world as an active leader at Uxbridge Baptist Church, in the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, as past President of the Canadian Baptist Federation (now Canadian Baptist Ministries) and for his work in the Baptist World Alliance. The family is grateful to the capable doctors and caregivers at Sunnybrook Hospital (Dr. Neil Berinstein), Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital (Dr. Peter Gladstone), and Lakeridge Health Centre Uxbridge (Dr. Terry Bryon). In his 73rd year. passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Monday, January 14, 2002, at the Community Nursing Home, Pickering, Ont. Loving husband, for 50 years, of Alice (nee Craig). Devoted father of Brenda and husband Gary, Doug and wife Margaret, Sandra and husband John, and Judy and husband Gary. Sadly missed by grandchildren Ryan, Shawn, Allison, Lynn, Jamie, Taylor, Samantha, Robbie, Alexandra and Patrick. Art will be dearly missed by family and friends.
