At the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Thursday, December 22, 2005, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Jim. Loving mother of Greig (Bev), Peter (Deb), Trevor (Mary) and Russell (Anne), and the late Susan Plummer (Dave). Dear Nanny to 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Sister of Stuart Ferguson (Thelma). Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Saturday, December 31, 2005, after 10am until time of memorial service in the Chapel at 11:30am.

Eric Cameron BA Sc Scott - 12/22/2005

Passed away in Ottawa on December 20, 2005. Dear husband of Jane Goodchild. Loving father of David Scott (Laura Cupper) Carleton Place, Sandie Stinson (Allan) North Bay, Brian, Scott (Evelyn Von Michalofski) Belleville and Glen Scott (Kim Rosentreter) Calgary. Proud grandfather of Katie and Margaret Scott; Carrie, Scott, Julie and Travis Stinson; Olive Scott; Joelle, Jeremy and Benjamin Scott. Special grandfather of Reyna Uriarte. Born in Picton, ON, May 24, 1926. Son of the late Ella Mae Bongard and Wilfred Ernest Scott. Predeceased by his brother and friend Sherman. Engineer, banker, fisherman, clarinetist and book editor. Eric graduated as a Civil Engineer from the University of Toronto in 1949. During his career he worked for Canadian International Paper, Canadian Industries Limited, The Engineering Institute of Canada and 25 years with the Industrial Development Bank, later to be the Federal Business Development Bank. He cherished the many friendships across Canada from those years. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Ottawa on Saturday, January 7, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated

Passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of Lillian and the late William Sillar. Dear mother of Steven Molenaar. Much loved sister of Jeannie and Ralph, sister-in-law of Lorna, aunt of Ann and great- aunt of Alexander. The family would like to thank Evelyn, Linda and Veronica. Lloyd Henry Wedge - 01/04/2006

Peacefully passed away at 11:50 pm on January 1, 2006 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, beloved husband of Helen Wedge (nee MacKay). He is survived by his sister Joan Vranic (Joseph), brother Ernest (Anne-Marie), sister-in-law Betty (the late Raymond) and several nieces and nephews. Lloyd was a WW II veteran, a graduate of St. Thomas University, NB, taught high school at St. Thomas and a graduate of St. Xavier University, Antigonish, NS. He was a veteran of T.C.A. and Air Canada, and a retired director of Air Canada in Postal Affairs in headquaters in Montreal and Ottawa. Friends may attend a memorial service at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave (corner of Richmond Rd) on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 1 pm. Interment in Moncton, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated. We wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Civic Hospital for all their care and sympathy.

Irene Witty (nee Cannon) - 12/30/2005

Peacefully in hospital on Friday, December 30, 2005 at the age of 83,- surrounded by her daughters; Lynda (Raymond Lafleur), Judy (Bob Watson), Susan (Bob McCallum) and Laurie (Rich Gallinger). Beloved wife of the late Arnold. Predeceased by her two brothers James and Clary Cannon. Remembered by sisters-in-law; Muriel Witty and Lucille Cannon. Will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Jennifer, Scott, Christopher, Sara, Katie, Darcy and Autumn, her great-grandchildren Connor, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Jade, Anna, Roo and Ryan and step-great grandchildren; Alex and Jessey. Many thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit of the Civic Hospital. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, on Monday, January 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 153 Woodroffe Avenue on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

David Winston Alexander - 01/14/2006

November 6, 1918 - January 13, 2006
Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Loretto (nee Meagher) and his parents, Charles Alexander and Helen Lee, sisters Dorothy, Matilda, Frances and Eva. Loving father of David C., Anne (Tom Samms) and Laura (Michael Rock). Dear Grampa of Steven (Rosemary), Mathew (Nicole), Jason, Cassie, Jim (Patty), Cathy (Mike), Alicia and Great-Grandfather of Amandalie, Katie, Christine, Mackenzie, Victoria, Nicolas, Ashley, Adam and Melissa. After serving in England during WWII, Dave joined the Federal Civil Service and retired after a successful career in 1975. He was one of the first to settle in Carleton Heights in 1947 and volunteered in the community for many years. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Ottawa, on Monday, January 16 from 2to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 17 after 10 a.m. until time of service in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. In memory of Dave, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute, the Arthritis Society or the Ottawa Hospital would be appreciated.

After a long, courageous battle against all odds, on Tuesday, January 10, 2006. Survived by his mother Carla Cooper (Richard Scally) of Port Coldburn, his father Vince Belinski (Adelheid Tolgyesi) of Ottawa, brother Stephen James of Vancouver, BC and predeceased by his sister Christina Emeline Anne Belinski. Thank you to the Spartan Grove Residence and the Palliative Care Team at CHEO. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at the Aviation Parkway on Friday, January 13th, 2005 from 10:30am until time of the service in the Chapel at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Champions for Children Foundation.

Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans Home on the 4th of January, 2006 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Lucille (Vezina) and father of Richard (Jeannine Proulx) and Pierre. Loving grandfather of Marc, Luc (Judith Blais), Jose (Richard Amyot), Pascal, Charles Guy and Sandra (Marc Wickham). Brother of Hector. Will also be missed by many great-grandchildren. Friends and family may pay their respects at a Mass to be held at Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 435 Montreal Rd. on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 10:30am followed by a reception with the family.
