September 4, 1934 - February 15, 2006 On the eve of her death, Anita Philippe, at the age of 71, was surrounded by her family. On this night, for a precious hour or two, there were no tears. Those who knew her best encircled her bed and as a group, drew close to the woman they loved dearly. They held her hands, rubbed her feet, and offered what physical comfort they could. Anita, without uttering a word, had drawn them together yet again, as she had so often. Those who were there shared stories of their lives. It was as if, for the last time, they were sitting around Anita's dining room table, happy, warm, safe and secure.
