Frances Joan Cameron - 04/09/2006

October 13, 1947 to April 8, 2006.
Predeceased by her loving mother, Dorothy Patricia (Pat) Cameron in 1986. Survived by her very caring father, Stanley Daniel Cameron, and dear stepmother, Barbara Agnes Howell, and by her siblings and step-siblings, Peter Cameron (Lisa Hansen), Barbara Cameron (John Maclennan), Joyce Cameron, Rob Howell (Linda Howell), Brenda Becker (Ron Canata), Tanys Howell (Don Cumming), and nieces and nephews Emily and Robert Baxter; Adam, Sarah, and Daniel Cameron-Sorensen. Also survived by Michael Pine and other special friends, neighbours and colleagues. She died enveloped in the care, love, support and kindness she was blessed to receive and share her entire life. She wished only that she had had some extra months to contribute more back to the work and people she felt so enriched by. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, after 12:30pm until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, Fran asked that donations be made to support the important work of The Shepherds of Good Hope, the Ottawa Carleton Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO), and the National Gallery of Canada Foundation.

Peacefully at the Montfort Hospital on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the age of 83. Dearly beloved wife of Philibert. Loving mother of Joël, Carl, Aldo and Lina. Adored grandmother of Nicholas and Natalie. Dear sister of Laurette Dicaire (late Alphonse). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her three brothers Jean-Noël, Jean-Marc and Normand. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway) on Sunday, April 23, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, April 24th at 11 a.m. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. Loving grandmother of Robert (Susan), Brenda (Reg), Kathy (Mario), Janice (Francois), Merv (Mary-Anne), Karl (Lucie), her great-grandchildren Charlene, Shaun, Kenny, Heather, Jessica, Eric, Laura, Katie, Tiffany and great-great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Karlee, Joseph and Jacob. Brother of the late Beatrice, John, Lillian, Douglas, Paul, Michael and Paula. Peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2006 at age 84. Beloved wife of Joseph. Loving mother of Richard (Karin), David (Debbie) and Susan. Cherished grandmother to Jennifer (Eric), Stephanie (Mike), Kimberly (Greg), Sharon (Byron) and Kevin (Melissa). She is survived by her sister Lois and predeceased by her brother Bill and daughter-in-law Colleen. Throughout her life Charlotte was a dedicated volunteer to many organizations especially the United Church Women and the Girl Guides of Canada. A friend to many cats and other animals. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Rideau Park United Church, 2203 Alta Vista Drive. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa would be appreciated. Special thanks to the Orchard House staff at Granite Ridge.

She will be dearly missed by her brother Douglas Campbell Greer and her sisters Isobel Berry and Marion Cook as well as many nephews and nieces. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Wednesday, April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Merivale United Church, 1876 Merivale Road on Thursday, April 13 at 2:30 p.m. Interment Merivale United Cemetery followed by a reception in the Church hall. Survived by his children Diane (Léo Lanthier), Jean-Marc (Céline Lepage) and Richard (Donna Hill). Grandfather of Eric, Natasha, Patrick, Marc-Andre, Spephanie, Melanie and Jean Luc. Dear friend of Carol Cameron. Brother of Yvette (Oscar Vezina) and Robert. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromée 135 Barrette St on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
