G. Isabel McLean - 04/09/2006

Born in Ottawa July 9th, 1922. Peacefully in hospital on Friday, April 7th, 2006 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Norman McLean. Dear mother of Dr. James G. Anderson and Carol Anderson. Loving sister of H. James Plant (Sherrie). Sadly missed by step-children Tom (Judy), Jane (Guy) and nieces Marilyn (Andy Burans), Barbara (Graham Clarke) and Shirley Plant. Sadly remembered by grandchildren, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Isabel was educated at Ottawa Ladies College and graduated with an honour degree from Queen s University. She was involved with the I.O.D.E. for many years and was a member of the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. She was a noted creator of beautiful china and worked industriously when in residence at her beloved cottage in Norway Bay. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Tuesday, April 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, 217 First Avenue, Ottawa on Wednesday, April 12th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer

Norman George (Norm) Pascoe - 04/09/2006

Of Ottawa and formerly Montreal, passed away in Ottawa on Saturday April 8th, 2006 at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his wife Marina, son Russell and two sisters, Irene (Dr. Charles Bird) of Kingston, Beverly of Knowlton, Quebec and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired Transport Canada Public Affairs. Owner, Norm Pascoe Associates. Served many years as a journalist with The Montreal Star. Lt-Cdr, CD, ret d, Royal Canadian Naval Reserve. Life-long member of Scouts Canada, mainly as a youth leader. Honorary Life Member of the RCMP Curling Club with many devoted to instructing and coaching youth curlers. Marshal of Pine View Golf Course. Norm was a long-time resident of Manor Park. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Wednesday, April 12th 2006 from 11:30am until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the V.O.N. Ottawa-Carleton Branch, Suite 205-1200 S.Laurent Blvd., Ottawa ON K1K 3B8 would be appreciated.

Born in Roubaix, France on October 7th, 1921. Died on Thursday April 13th, 2006 at the Montfort Hospital after a long battle with old age. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Barbara, her son-in-law Tom Sacco, as well as her beloved cats, dogs and horses. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Ottawa Humane Society or any other animal charity of your choice. Suddenly on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at the age of 66 years. Loving husband of Helen. Survived by his children; Derek, Rhonda (Bob Christie), Charlene (John Walsh), his grandchildren; Shawn, Tielor, Dane and Matthew, his sister; Pat Edey (Bruce), his brother; Gary (Judy) and his step-children; Laurie-Anne (Ravi) Paula (Michael) and step-grandchildren; Jesse, Cody, Tanner, Kyle and Emily. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Rita. Ron will always be remembered for his kind heart and his generous spirit which was represented through his volunteer work at The Canadian Red Cross and his active involvement at The Life Centre. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Rd, at Aviation Parkway on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at The Life Centre, 2214 Innes Rd. on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 11 am. For those wishing donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

passed away peacefully at the Edinburgh Retirement Residence on Sunday April 9th, 2006 in her 97th year. Beloved sister of the late Marjorie G. Hudson and Dr. Doris Stuart Runciman. She spent her career as an executive secretary with the Rockefeller Charitable Foundation in New York City. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Thursday April 13th from 10:30 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment to take place at Woodlawn cemetery , Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, later in the Spring. Special thanks to the staff at the Edinburgh Residence, especially Bernadette Hoadley, for their special care.

Isobel Ruttle (nee Scobie). Loving father of Milt (Gwen), Westport, Ont., Janet (Gil Ronholm), Powassan, Ont. and Barbara (Alex Scott), Brinston, Ont. Cherished grandfather of Colleen Ruttle (Don Homme), Red Deer, Alta., Phillip Ruttle, Eckville, Alta., James Ronholm (Melinda Kent) Sundridge, Ontario, Richard Ronholm (Marguerite) Amherstview, Ont., Cynthia Ronholm (Ron Hildebrandt) Madawaska, Ont., Brian Scott, Brinston, Ontario, Robert Scott, Brinston, Ontario and six great grandchildren. Dear brother of Irwin Ruttle (Irene), Kingston, Ont., and Inez Ruttle, Ottawa, Ont. He will be sadly missed by his special niece Diane Shaw (Scobie). Orville will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Much loved father of Terry (the late Sharon) and Kathryn Fright (Eric). Dearly loved "Pop" of Jordan, Daniel and Stephanie. Loving brother of Wesley and predeceased by Clarence, Gladys, Ernest, Bertha, Margaret and Victor. Albert will be missed by many friends. Al served in World War II as a Radar Operator with the RCAF; 43 years of faithful service with The Mutual Life of Canada. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Wednesday, April 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, April 13 from 12 noon until Service time in the Chapel at 1 p.m. followed by a reception at the McGarry Family Reception Centre.
