Dorothy E. Roth
Dorothy Ellen Roth, 79, formerly of Cambridge and Tavistock passed away at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre, Kitchener on Saturday, February 9, 2002. She was born at Toronto on June 15, 1922, a daughter of the late Frederick Anderson and the former Dorothy Stewart. She married William Roth at New Hamburg on March 10, 1939. He predeceased her on October 19, 1979. She was also predeceased by her sons Milton Roth and Eugene Roth; her daughter and son-in-law Veronica and Victor Lindsay; her sister Ruth Burnett and her brothersin-law Gerald O’Shaughnessy and Claude Glasford and some members of her husband’s family. Mother of Robert Roth and wife Jann of Langley, B.C., Kathryn (Peg) Leeman and husband Robert, Duncan Roth and Helen, Sidney Roth and wife Janice, Virgil Roth and Shirley, Jean Marie Halstead and Robert, Stewart Roth and wife Tammy, Sandra Roth and husband Darcy Stumpf, all of Cambridge; grandmother of 29 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister of Fred Anderson and wife Lorraine of Oshawa, Duncan Anderson and wife Dorothy of Kitchener, Janet Johnson and husband Ivan of Comox, B.C., Florence and husband Gordon Johnson of St. Marys, Alice O’Shaughnessy of Belleville, Winnie Millard and husband David of Mississauga, Audrey Anderson of Wildwood Nursing Home, St. Marys; sister-in-law of Wallace Burnett of Stratford, Violet and Jack Bell of Woodstock, Frieda and Carl Brenner of Woodstock, Marie Dobson of London. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street, North, Tavistock today, Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol-Tavistock on Thursday, February 14, 2002 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Leonard will officiate. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. James Peter Louwagie
James Peter “Jamie” Louwagie, infant son of Peter and Sharon (Feltz) Louwagie passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Friday, April 5, 2002. Dear brother of Shaun, Jenny and Stacey, all at home; dear grandson of Ivan and Ruby Feltz of RR 5 Stratford and Hector and Cecile Louwagie of RR 3 Mitchell. Also surviving are a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be no funeral home visitation. A family Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Dublin on Thursday with Rev. M. Charbonneau–celebrant. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dublin. Laverne L. Paff
Suddenly on Sunday, June 9, 2002 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener. Laverne Louis Paff of RR 1 Gadshill. Laverne was born in Perth East 76 years ago, son of the late Melvin Paff and the late Pearletta Daub. He was a member of the Wellesley Alliance Church and farmed in North Easthope Township from 1949 to 2002. Beloved husband of Margaret E. Hesse whom he married in Stratford, September 16, 1950. Loving father of Walter, Donald and his twin brother David, all of RR 1 Gadshill. Dear brother of Laurene Sherk of Kitchener and sister-inlaw of Vivian Paff of Stratford. Ever remembered by brother and sisters-in-law Howard and Mary Evelyn Hesse, Bee and Gilbert Johnston. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Carolyn Sherk, Darlene and Cecil Payn, Heather Gerber and Wayne Paff. Predeceased by a brother Gordon Paff (1980) and by brothers-in-law Willard Sherk and Harold Hesse and a nephew Kevin Sherk. Visitation at Futher Bros. Sadly on December 20, 2002, Kathleen May (Smith) Fess of London in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late Craig Fess. Beloved mother of Michael and Judi, Kathryn, Kimberly and Stephen. Ray Whaling
Raymond Edward Whaling, 59, of St. Marys and formerly of Gadshill, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, February 23, 2003. He was born in Ellice Township, August 5, 1943, a son of the late Edward and Iona Whaling and had lived in the Stratford area most of his life. Ray had a love for trucking, in which he worked for the past 26 years, most recently with Verspeeten Cartage Limited as a team driver with his wife Marlene. He was a member of Word of His Power Faith Fellowship, London. Beloved husband of 40 years of Marlene (Doell). Loving father of Cheryl Bart and husband Ron, Kevin Whaling and wife Jennifer, Debbie Matthews, Tammy Davis and friend Pete Rosenberg. Loving papa of Nathan and Kaitlin Bart, Jacqueline Whaling, Kelsey and Austin Davis. Also survived by brothers Eldon Weiss (Doris), Charlie Weiss (Ferne), sister Bev McLeod (Dave) and mother-in-law Alma (Doell) Gray. Jean Ellen Yundt
After a long and courageous battle with emphysema, Jean Ellen Yundt, age 78, of 289 Water Street, Stratford passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Monday, February 16, 2004. Born in Humberstone Township, she was the daughter of the late Leonard McGillivray and the former Mary McIntosh. She served her country in its time of need during the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Air Force. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #8. She was predeceased by her husband Eric Yundt, co-founder and president of Yundt Brothers Construction. She is survived by her children Donald Yundt of Stratford, Marilyn Yundt of Toronto, Debra Yundt of Stratford and Karen Roberts and friend Owen Switzer of Stratford. Dear grandmother of David Yundt and his wife Sandra Clegg of Oakville, Carol and her husband George Rennick of Stratford, Keith Yundt and his wife Elisabeth Koster of Victoria, B.C., Ruth and her husband Junier Fuentes of Costa Rica. A very special grandmother to Cindy and her husband Michael Bondi of Stratford and Craig Yundt and his wife Sandi of Orillia. Mr. Ronald David Ferguson, 68, of Stratford and formerly of Cambridge, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Palliative Care Unit of the Stratford General Hospital on Monday, February 16, 2004. Beloved husband of Genny Ferguson (Skinn). Loving father of Rhonda and husband Dan Nolan, Lorrie and late husband Bob Cronin, Cathy and husband John Binnendyk, Mike Ferguson and wife Dawn, Brad Ferguson and wife Debbie and Jody (Barbara) and husband Dwayne Henderson. Dear grandfather of 15 grand- children and five great- grandchildren. Son of the late Thomas and Agnes Ferguson. Survived by brother John Ferguson and wife Doris and sisters Mary and Betty. Also survived by sister-in-law Helena and husband Ken Partridge. Predeceased by brother Harold, two brothers in infancy, brother-in-law Bervil Skinn and by his mother and father-in-law Mildred and John Skinn. Ron was the purchasing manager for Gore Mutual Insurance in Cambridge for many years and he is also a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Stratford.
