Mr. Armand George Koutnik
March 20, 1928 - March 14, 2010

KOUTNIK, Armand
passed away at Sandalwood Retirement Residence in Brampton on Sunday March 14, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Survived by his daughters Dorothy (Pete), Brenda (Martin), Susan (Rick), grandchildren Owen (Chrissy), Graham (Stacey), Mark, Casey, Brandon, Jenna, and one great grandchild Liam. Predeceased by his loving wife Gertrude Koutnik and granddaughter Lisa. Armand lived a very full life, seized the moment whenever possible to explore new paths. Family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax- 905-428-8488) on Saturday March 20, 2010 from 11-1 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow in the chapel at 1 o clock in the afternoon. March 20, 2010 would have marked Armand s 82nd birthday.

It is with great saddness we announce the passing of Tom Lavoie on Sunday, March 14th, 2010 at home. Beloved husband of Eleanor Lavoie, dear father to Donna, Mark, Diana, Paul, Timmothy, Susan, Michael, Benjamin and Stephen. Tom will be missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will remain his enduring legacy. Survived by his brother David Lavoie and family. Tom was dedicated to his service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for many years in various positions including Bishop of the Pickering Ward for six years. A visitation will be held at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax ON) on Wednesday, March 17th from 6:30-8:30 P.M. A service will take place at The PIckering Ward Chapel (119 Church Street S.) on Thursday, March 18th at 10 A.M. Followed by a brief burial service at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Alzheimers Society.

Mrs. Jean "Sheina" Sheriff
November 8, 1927 - April 17, 2008

passed away at Huronia District Hospital in Midland, on Thursday April 17, 2008, in her 81st year. Loving mother of Sandra Rourke (Gillard), Ian Sheriff (Sharon), and Sylvia Murray (Brian). Grandmother of Leigh Rourke (Shawn), Sean Rourke (Rebecca), Dawn Lock (Jason), Devon Murray, and Adam Murray (Meagan). Sadly missed by great children Alexis, Makenzie, John, Sarah, Ilysha, Jessie, Jake, Mathew, and Marcus. Family will receive friends at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Monday April 21 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Service to follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.

PARKER, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) - (As an amazing teacher for over twenty years in Peterborough County, Betty was an inspiration to all of her students and colleagues. She will be missed by her family and friends for her optomistic outlook on life , strong religious convictions, giving nature and compassion for all those people who were blessed to know her). Suddenly at Royal Gardens, on Friday April 18, 2008 in her 94th year. Betty (Thompson), wife of the late Arthur Parker. Lovingly remembered by her sons and their wives Jim (Madeline) of Peterborough, Rod of London, Ontario, Jeff (Linda) of Buckhorn and the late Ralph Parker. Mother-in-law to Sally Parker of Irondale and the late Gayle Parker. Betty was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Sister of Robert Thompson (Ruth) of Bobcaygeon and the late Marjorie Elliott, Fred and Don Thompson. Sister-in-law to the late Albert Elliott. Friends will be received at the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 600 Monaghan Rd. S. from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Wednesday April 23, 2008. A service to celebrate Betty's life will follow in the Nisbett Chapel at 12:00 p.m.. A reception following the service will be held at the Nisbett Reception Centre. A private family Interment will take place at Sandy Lake cemetery , Lakehurst. If desired, memorial donations to St. Matthews-St. Aidens Anglican Church, Buckhorn or to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated. Mrs. Agnes "Nessie" Robertson

ROBERTSON, Agnes "Nessie"

Peacefully passed away at home the morning of April 16, 2008. She has now been reunited with her husband Peter. Will be dearly missed by her only son Ross and his daughter and her only grandchild Alyssa. Cherished best friend of Bill and Anne, as well as her many close friends who's lives she had touched. Friends and family are invited to McDougall & Brown Funeral Home (2900 Kingston Rd.) 416-267-4656. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 10 - 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Kiriakos Papadopoulos born in Psarades Prespon Florinis Greece, immigrated to Canada, November 21, 1966, passed away peacefully at the Scarborough Grace Hospital. Beloved husband of Dimitra for 56 yrs. Loving father of Zoi (Michael) Plahouras, Vasuela Beth. Adoring grandfather of Ken his name sake, Steve, James and Constantine. Survived by two brothers and two sisters. Resting at the Highland Funeral Home 3280 Sheppard Ave East (Warden and Sheppard) from 5-9 p.m. Friday. A Celebration of life will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church 1385 Warden Ave. Interment Pine Hills cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be sent to The Hellenic Hope Centre.

Peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at The Village of Erin Meadows in Mississauga, at the age of 91. Survived by her loving husband Clyde, of 74 years. Dear mother of Roberta Ann Dickson (Alan) of Oshawa, Howard M. Saunders of St. Catherines, Carl Saunders (Janet) of Streetsville and Shirley Walker (Dick) of Gananoque. Grandmother of Cheryl Dickson, Diane Trauzzi, Edward Dickson, Floyd Dickson, Jeff Saunders, Julie LeBreton and Patti Detlor. Great grandmother of James, Ian, Laurie, Sharon, Alana, Adam, Robert, Allison, Katherine, Jessica, Madeline, Joshua and Jacob. Predeceased by her brother Fred Preston (Vera), and Frank Preston (May). Isabel enjoyed an active life of waterskiing, snowmobiling, playing Bridge, scouting, crossword puzzles and she was an avid reader. Isabel was an honourary member of the Paudash Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club. A Memorial Gathering will be held to celebrate Isabel's life on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 9th Line, Oakville (Dundas St. / 9th Line) from 3-5 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Peel would be appreciated by the family. Powell, Andrew - passed away suddenly on Sunday April 13, 2008. Andrew beloved son of Chris and Sheila. Loving brother of Jayne and Claire. Andrew will be forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Friday April 18, 2008 from 7pm to 9pm at the Glen Oaks Chapel and Reception Center (3164 9th Line and Dundas St. Oakville). Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 19, 2008 in the Glen Oaks Chapel at 4pm. Reception to follow. passed away peacefully in her 100th year on Monday, April 14, 2008 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. Beloved wife of the late Richard Charles (1972). Loving mother of Ann Pruefer. Dear sister of Waldine Wuschke, Cranbrook, B.C. and the late William Orlowski (2002). Will be missed by nephews Rev. Richard Orlowski, Kitchener; Willian Harry Orlowski, London; Steven Wuschke, B.C.; Ron Wuschke, Alberta. Mr. and Mrs. Pruefer were the former owners of Riverside Construction. A special thank you to the Red Cross P.S.W.s: Teresa, Richarda and Lee-Ann. Visitation will be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road East (519-735-2830) on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Orlowski, Pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Beloved mother of Salvatrice, Maria, Gaetano and Giuseppina. Cherished Nonna to many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Resting at the Highland Funeral Home (3280 Sheppard Ave. East, just west of Warden Ave.) on Thursday, April 17th from 5-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends will also be greeted on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the commencement of the service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision would be appreciated.
