Suddenly, in Sparta, Greece on June 9, 2001 in his 70th year. Peter Shiavelis, beloved husband of Georgina (Sebekos). Loving father of Bessey and Effy. Dear brother of Helen (Stratis) Barlas, Tina (Gus) Tserebas and Geoff (Merlyn) Shiavelis. Peter and his family have owned and operated Your Place Restaurant for the over 18 years, he will be sadly missed by his many relatives and friends. Mr. Shiavelis is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN “ROBINSON CHAPEL” (King St., East at Wellington) where his family will receive friends on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Prayers will be held on Sunday evening at 7 pm. Funeral will be celebrated on Monday June 18, 2001 at 11 am. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church ( 22 Head St. ). Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully, on Sunday June 17, at Forest Heights Nursing Home, Kitchener, ON., in her 81st year. Predeceased by husbands Jack Whitehead and George Marr. She will be sadly missed by children Gloria (Ken), Gerald (Bonnie), Laurel (Larry), Faith (Rod), Kenneth and her 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Anita (2000). Cherished father of Dawn and Lance Woodworth and Richard and Monica Rice. Grampa will be greatly missed by Keegan and Cody Woodworth and Matthew, Brandon and Stephanie Rice.
His strength of character inspired us all to do our best and will be sorely missed.

Cherished mother of Elizabeth Ann and husband Owen Lafferty of Grimsby and Richard William Scott of Hamilton. Adoring and proud grandma of Philip Albert Lafferty, Toronto and Frances Elizabeth Lafferty (and Fiancee Jeff Pedley) of Brantford.
Survived by mother Beatrice Ward, brothers Shirl (“sister” Rita), Bert (Rosemary), Lowell (Charlene), Gordon and sister Geraldine (Herb) Cooley. Also survived by sister-in-law Jean Ward, John and Pat Lafferty, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by father, Charles Alfred, brothers Stanley (Ruth), Norris and Lindsay Ward and husband Thomas Scott.
Frances will always be remembered for her warmth, character, strength and unconditional love. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Doctors Nigel Colterjohn, J.E. Young and L. Kahn.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service, followed by Interment to be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, April 11th, 2001 at 1 p.m.
