At the Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Thursday, May 24, 2001 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Nellija Grinvalds. Dear father of Skaidrite Hoecht and family, Velga Dombrovics and family (Latvia) and John Grinvalds and family. Lovingly remembered by his 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren (Latvia). Mr. Grinvalds was a retired employee for the City of Hamilton and an active member of Christ Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) on Sunday from 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral services from Christ Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery.

John Alfred Redley
October 23, 1919 - May 26, 2001

Now peacefully resting in the arms of the Lord, John passed away on May 26, 2001. He will be sadly missed by many family and friends. Beloved husband of Gloria and cherished father of Paulette, Paul, Dave, Cheryl and Johnny. Devoted grandfather of Amanda, Lauren, Alisha, Tanya, Breanne and Nicole. The family will receive friends on Tuesday June 5, 2001 at West 5th Bible Chapel (440 West 5th Ave.) from 1 pm. until time of funeral service at 2 pm. At Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday may 29, 2001 in her 87th year. Loving wife of the late James F. McIntyre. Dear mother of Betty (Hamilton), Irene and Chuck (New Brunswick), John and Rox-Anne (Hamilton), Ray and Susan (Cambridge), Gail and Gary (Hamilton). Remembered by her 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Daisy Hearst. Predeceased by her daughter Carol. Friends may call at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington)on Friday from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm. Cremation to follow. Dorothy Priscilla Thompson
December 6, 1907 - June 6, 2001

(Long time employee of the T. Eatons Co. retiring after 25 years of service) At St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday June 6, 2001. Dorothy Priscilla Thompson (nee: Greening) of Hamilton in her 94th year. Survived by her beloved son Robert Thompson of Hamilton, her sister Emma Holfert of St. Clair, Mich., daughter-in-law Dorothy Thompson, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and her furry companion Tippy. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband John William Sr. (1971), her dear sons; John William Thompson Jr (1989) and Sergeant James Thompson of the USAF (1952) and by her dear granddaughter Diane Thompson (1988). Dorothy is at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) where the family will receive friends on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service from the Chapel on Monday June 11, 2001 at 11 o’clock am. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Constance Mary Lovranski
February 24, 1913 - June 9, 2001

Peacefully at Norview Lodge, Simcoe, Ontario on Saturday June 9, 2001 in her 89th year. Wife of the late Roy Lovranski. Beloved mother of Joe Lovranski & his wife Sandra of Simcoe. Dear grandmother of Dan Lovranski of Toronto and Christine Lovranski of Simcoe. Survived by sister Lucy Rapiach of Hamilton, sister-in-law Betty Ratigliano of Burlington, sister-in-law Angie Ratigliano of Watertown, New York and several Nieces and Nephews. Pre-deceased by brother Joe Ratigliano, brother Anthony Ratigliano and sister Jean Nagy.

July 20, 1912 - June 12, 2001

Peacefully at Blackadar Nursing Home on Tuesday, June 12 2001 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Courtney and her sister Hazel. Sadly missed by Bernard and his children. Family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL ( 15 West Avenue N ) on Friday June 15th, 2001 from 7 - 9 pm. Predeceased by her brother and sister in-law Stanley and Ethel Clinch and nephew Paul Clinch. Peacefully on Sept. 5, 2001 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in her 87th year. Dearly loved and dedicated mother and best friend of Marie Holland. Devoted and loved baba of Lisa. Dearly loved sister in law and bobbsey twin of Ethel Pushkedra. Wonderful aunt to Frankie Pushkedra, and Anita & Peter Bowker. Great aunt to Natalie & Victoria. Special loved friend and companion of Frank Kovacs. Mary enjoyed playing her bingo at St. Stephen’s Hall and the Delta. She always gave her plants to everyone she knew, regularly rode the bus to the Downtown Farmer’s Market, K.F.C., Denninger’s, Ticket Booth and Reardon’s, visited her parents, brother and nephew at their cemeteries and planted flowers every year. Mary attended St. Patrick’s Church whenever she could, went to penny sales and different church bazaars, she spoke and got to know everyone she met. She will be sadly missed and will never be forgotten. Mary’s family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home “Robinson Chapel” ( King St. East at Wellington) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Loving mother of Linda (Denis) Howarth, Elaine (Larry) Zelmer, Patricia (Robert) Smith, James Roger (Kim) Hussey and David Hussey. Dear grandmother of Philip & Peter Howarth, Samantha Smith, Grant Hussey and great grandmother of Natashja Howarth. Dear sister of Louise Woodcock, Kathleen Dunn, Howard (Ben) Body, Lance Body, Gilbert Body, Timothy Body and sister in-law to Edna Morgan and Floyd Hussey. Very special friend of Harry Kerr. Predeceased by her parents James & Ethel Body. Ethel was an active member of the St. Thomas Embroidery Committee for over 15 years.
