ALLISON - Meta A. L. Allison (nee Thompson) At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, November 23, 1999 in her 92nd year. Born January 6, 1908 in Newry Co. Down, Northern Ireland. Only child of the late Rev. William and Elizabeth (Lyons) Thompson. Predeceased by her devoted husband John Allison (1995) and two daughters Margaret (1944) and Marian (1999). She is survived by two sons and two daughters. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Burial in Aylmer cemetery. Donations to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation, Red Cross, the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.

FRAPPIER-BAKKER - Evelyn Helen of St. Thomas, on Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 56th year. Beloved wife of Keith Bakker and dearly loved mother of Melissa Caokley and her husband Steve of St. Thomas, Aim Frappier and his wife Michele of St. Thomas, Chris Frappier and his wife Paula of Elora and dear step-mother of Scott Bakker and his wife Sharron O'Brien of London, Brian Bakker and his wife Karen of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Goldy-Ann Pinter and her husband Gabriel of Tilbury. Loved grandmother of Tori Frappier, Paige Frappier and expected grandchild of Paula and Chris Frappier. Dear aunt of Theresa Holden and her husband Greg of Eden and Mark Pinter of Tillsonburg. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Evelyn.

HAUCK - At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, November 23, 1999. Eugene J. Hauck of St. Thomas in his 82nd year. Husband of the late Marion (McMullen) Facey Hauck (Mar. 30, 1998). Father of Marilyn Weare and step-father of Dan Wilford Facey, both of St. Thomas. Brother of Catherine Privat and her husband Bert of Kitchener, Margaret Potwarka and Ken Strub, both of Waterloo. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hauck was predeceased by a step-son, Bob Facey, step-daughter, Pat Fletcher (Stokes), sister Della Rector and by brother, Gordon Strub. At the request of Mr. Hauck, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Following cremation, private interment in the Legion Plot at South Park cemetery , St. Thomas. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to 100 Huntley Street. Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas entrusted with the arrangements.

MATTIS - Jean H. of St. Thomas, on Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of W.C. "Bill" Mattis and dearly loved mother of Leslie and her husband Dave Kay of St. Thomas, Nancy and her husband Steve Cuddie of Stouffville, and Martha and her husband Alex Connoy of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Betty Palmer of Arizona. Predeceased by a twin brother James Turnbull. Loved grandmother of Lisa Bentley and her husband Walter, Megan Heyting and her husband Gord, Erin Colburn, Melissa Sweet and her husband Daryl, Tim Kay, and Blake and Mallory Connoy. Loved great grandmother of Therese, Kendra and Lauren Bentley and Jessica and Jocelyn Sweet. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Elmdale cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. A donation will be made to the Memory Garden of Pinafore Park in remembrance of Jean.

McHARG - Catherine, died on Wednesday, November 24, 1999, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. Beloved wife of James and much loved mother of Frank of St. Thomas and Jim and his wife Sandy of Cambridge. Dear sister of Frank McGraw and his wife Maria of Scotland and Alice McEwan of Scotland. Loved grandmother of Sharon, Katie, Sarah, and Jim and great grandmother of Jacob and Justin. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews in Scotland and several aunts and uncles in Scotland. Public Funeral Service to be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. No visitation prior to the service by Catherine's request. Cremation to follow. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice. A donation will be made to the Memory Garden of Pinafore Park in remembrance of Mrs. McHarg.

WILLIAMS - At her residence on Wednesday, November 24th, 1999. Mrs. Sylvia Louise Williams of the Caressant Care Home on Bonnie Place, St. Thomas and formerly of Florida in her 93rd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Alfred Bradford Williams and beloved daughter of the late Arthur C. and Susie (White) Bailey and loved sister of Mrs. Mary Ash of Detroit and the late Lewis S. Bailey. Louise is also lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas until Saturday afternoon and then to St. Anne's Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Angels' cemetery. Visitation Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the St. Anne's Building Fund or the Charity of ones choice. A donation will be made to the Memory Garden of Pinafore Park in Remembrance of Mrs. Williams.
