Mrs. Ruth (Collinson) Butcher of St. Thomas, widow of Cyril A. Butcher (Sept. 24, 1990), in her 78th year. Mother of James R. Butcher of Clinton and Robert C. Butcher and his wife Donna of R.R. #5, St. Thomas. Grandmother of Matthew, Mark and Andrew Butcher. Sister of Jean Collinson of St. Thomas. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Butcher was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ellen Butcher (1989). Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Friday evening 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas. Memorial donations to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation gratefully acknowledged. THAIN Jessie (Cameron) of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, on Wednesday, August 18, 1999, at her late residence, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Thain (1998) and dear mother of Alan and his wife Doreen Thain of St. Thomas, David and his wife Marilyn Thain of London and Evelyn Ewinger of Hamilton. Sadly missed by 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Elmdale cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to Valleyview Home. A donation will be made to the Memory Gardens of Pinafore Park in memory of Mrs. Thain.
