WALKER, Clayton Hutchinson (C.D.: Sigs) Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital, on Monday, October 2, 2000, in his 68th year. Clayton Walker, beloved husband of 46 years to Joan Irene (nee Gillespie) of Kingston. Dear father of Jim and Iris Walker, Judy and Jeff Hasson and Cathy and Rod Bresee, all of Kingston. Loving "grandpa" of William Walker, also remembered by brother Glen Walker, sister Marjorie and Alec Fraser, both of Alberta; brother-in-law Bill and Marg Gillespie of Kingston, and by his nieces and nephews. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (Counter Street at Hwy 2). Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, October 5, 2000 at 2 p.m. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. WHITELEY, Nellie (Bowers) Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, October 3, 2000, Mrs. Nellie Whiteley of Kingston in her 82nd year. Daughter of the late Thomas and Francis Bowers. Dear wife of the late Edwin Whiteley. Survived by daughters Linda Helpard (Russell) of Kingston; Janice Leveque (Gerald) of Harrowsmith; son Charles Whiteley (Sandra), and daughter-in-law Alexandria Whiteley of Napanee. Ever remembered by her 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Ted Whiteley and her sisters Jean Platt, Dorothy Pritchard and brothers Clarence and Arnold Bowers. Resting at the Thompson Funeral Home, 28 Everett St., Belleville. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, October 6th at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Also survived by her parents, Mac and Lucille Bradshaw, brother Gower and his wife Julie and children Evan, Elliott and Hannah, all of Napanee, Ontario; sister Leah and her husband Charles Burton and children Emma, Jacob and Lucy, of St. Catherines, Ontario; and brother Jonathan (Jay) and his wife Kathy and children Sam and Benjamin, of Claremont, Ontario. Predeceased in 1985 by her younger brother, Geoffrey. A Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church in Guelph at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2001 with Interment at Riverside Cemetery in Napanee, Ontario. COLE, A. Roy Mr. Cole passed away at his home in Kingston after a long illness, Wednesday, December 27, 2000. He leaves his wife Todd (nee Jamieson) after 53 years. Dear father of Patricia, grandfather to Jennifer and Caitlin Cole. He is also survived by daughters Holly and Shelley, and by sister Violet Barber. Predeceased by sisters Muriel Newton, Iva Barber and Hilda Holland and brother Arthur. Mr. Cole was employed for 35 years by Correctional Services, part of which was spent at Kingston Penitentiary and the other part at Beaver Creek Correctional Institution, Gravenhurst. Roy was a veteran of WWII, 1941-1946. Father Ed Dallow officiated at a private family service in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, on Friday, December 29, 2000. Predeceased by 2 brothers and one sister, Edmund Cowan of Delta, Lyndon Cowan of Crosby and Shirley Chant of R.R.2 Portland.
