LABASH, Mildred - Peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 31, 1999, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late John Labash. Dear mother of Penny Blazey (and her husband Brian) of London. Predeceased by her son Robert. Loving grandmother of Scott. Friends may call at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Joseph, beloved husband of Margaret for 63 years and dearly loved father of Joseph Jr. Beloved brother of Mary Taillefer. Son of Anna and Frank Lesco (deceased in 1960). Loved uncle of Arlette Stefani, Robert Taillefer and Helen Johnston. Cousin to Joseph Biro Sr. (deceased) and Joseph Jr., and Dr. Andrew Biro. Resting at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 16 Cannon Street East (at James) where the family will receive friends Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Stephen's Hungarian Church, Friday, September 3, 1999, at 10 a.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Recitation Rosary 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Lesko was a lifelong member of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Hungarian Church and the Hamilton Hungarian Senior Club. Lloyd and dearly loved mother of Alwyn and his wife Joan of Guelph, Trevor of Sun Lakes, Arizona, and Larry of Mississauga. Loved grandmother to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Violet Mockridge of St. Lambert, Quebec. Doris was a longtime member of Port Nelson United Church, Burlington. Friends may call at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, BURLINGTON CHAPEL, 2241 New Street (at Drury Lane), Burlington from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Service Friday, September 3, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.

Also left to mourn his passing are his sister Jessie and brother Bob. Harry was special to all those whose lives he touched and he will be sadly missed. A private service was held August 24 at Cresmount Funeral Home with interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Dear husband for 53 years of Muriel Frances "Babs" (nee Yuill) Munro. Loved father of Don of Mississauga, Doug Munro and his wife Lin of St. George and Kathie Wager and her husband Frank of Orillia. Loving Grampa of Tara, Adam, Amy and Jillian. Brother of William Munro and his wife Helen of Burlington and Grace Holmes of Scarborough. Don was the former owner and President of Munro Games Ltd. and a Veteran of W.W.II with the R.C.A.F. Squadron #219. Private cremation. Friends are invited to join with the family for a Service of Remembrance at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (632-3333) on Friday, September 3, 1999 at 1 p.m. The Reverend Wayne Irwin officiating. NICHOLAS, John Benjamin "Jack" - On Monday evening, August 30, 1999, Jack Nicholas, in his 95th year, moved from his residence at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas, into his eternal home with the God he had loved and served for most of his life. Jack, "The Barber", was well known for more than 50 years to many of the men and boys of the east end of Hamilton who visited his shop at the corner of King Street East and Balmoral, for a haircut, but also came away with a smile because of Jack's unfailing good humour. Jack was an active member of St. Paul's United Church and served as Superintendent of the Sunday School for over 40 years. He took a deep, personal interest in the children and the young people of the church. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife, Agnes (Nan) McCulloch, stepson, John McCulloch, his sister, Gladys Nicholas and his brother, William (Bill) Nicholas. He is survived by daughter-in-law, Betty McCulloch Fava, grand-children, Jane and Tom Bristow, Bobby and Trudy McCulloch, David and Rachael McCulloch and Larry and Betty McCulloch. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Jessie Williams and Amelia (Millie) Nicholas and nieces, Karen (and David) Phillips and Marjorie (and Ted) Cline. The Service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at St. Paul's United Church, 42 Tragina Avenue North, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 2nd. (TRUSCOTT-BROWN BROS. 549-2417)
