LANOUE, Gilbert J. 79 years May 8, 2000 with his family at his side. Late of Belle River. Beloved husband of 55 years to Dorothy, Dear father of Patrick (Patricia), Richard (Jennifer), Kenneth (Jane), Marc (Veronica), Joseph (Sherry), Michael (Cindy), Gilbert (Janice), Chris (Carole). Forever in the hearts of his 17 grandchildren. Loved brother of Delia Lyons, Seraphine Quigg, Raymonde Plante, Gertrude Simon, Peter, Philip and Andre. Predeceased by his sisters, Sister Marie Paule, Evangeline and brother Paul. Gil was the founder of Lanoue Insurance Brokers serving the community for over 50 years. He was also a Representative of Belle River Town Council and was a K of C Lifetime Member. Gil enjoyed fishing and travelling. Friends will be received Thursday May 11, 2000 at St. Simon & Jude Church, Belle River from 3:00pm until time of Funeral Mass at 7:30pm. Fr. R. Rocheleau officiating. Please Note: K of C Prayer Service at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gil's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the charity of your choice. McGREGOR, Ruth Madeline (nee McColl) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a special lady Ruth McGregor on May 7, 2000 at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by her husband Burnard (Oct. 16, 1995). Survived by her daughter Burnyce and husband Paul Durocher - Belle River; and sons William and wife Michele and Richard and wife Jill - all of Windsor. Dear grandmother of William and Wendy, Stuart and Kathleen - Dearborn, Mich.; Paula and Chris, Jenny and Scott, Melissa, Dezi and Merika and Matthew and Amie - all of Windsor. Dear great grandmother of Nicholas, Jerrica and Kaitlynn Durocher. Dear sister of Marguerite Carter - Wheatley and predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Our mother loved her family and her memories will be held in our hearts forever. Cherished mother of Tom and Marion Ouellette of Alberta, John and Nancy Ouellette of Kitchener, Jim and Brenda Ouellette, Michael Ouellette, Nancy and Norm Belanger, Patty and Mike Vossen, Cathy and Tom Diemer, Peggy and Dave Scurk, Julie and Dan Steinke, Beth and Don Rezoski, all of Windsor. Loving daughter of the late Walter and Hazel Cray. She will be forever missed by 28 grandchildren and 120 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Jim and Jack Cray. Patricia retired in 1985 from Hotel Dieu Hospital, Medical Records. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family. SMITH, Jean Okemos. Born July 16, 1929, in Oakland County; died May 7, 2000, at the age of 70. She grew up in Windsor, Ontario Canada and spent summer vacations in Sauble Beach, Ontario. Jean was a resident of the Okemos area since 1960 and was also a member of the Sparrow Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Robert; 2 daughters, Nancy of Toledo and Jennifer (Steve) Smith-Carrick of Grand Rapids; 6 grandchildren, Kyla, Ian, Sonya, Jenni, Amy and Brad; 1 brother, William L. (Phyllis) Ridley of Kingsville, Ontario; special niece, Lynn (Ted) Bec of Windsor, Ontario; and many additional nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 13, at 2 p.m. at St. Katherine's Episcopal Church, 4650 N. Meridian Rd., Williamston. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the Church or Hospice of Lansing, 6035 Executive Dr., Suite 103, Lansing, 48911-5338, in memory of Jean Smith.

BECHARD, Rosemarie (nee Prieur) On June 8, 2000 the day after her 66th birthday and 48 years of wedded bliss, Rose went to be with the Lord. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and children. She will be missed dearly by her loving husband Clarence Bechard, her mother Eva Prieur, both of Leamington; her children Roger Bechard, Windsor; Marie Reimer and husband Neil, Claudette Mullin and husband Owen, all of Leamington; Bill Bechard and wife Mary Ann, Kingsville; Susan Feltz and husband John, Leamington. Forever remembered by her 12 grandchildren, Jason, Roseanne and fiance Brett Mills, Lori, Tammy, Chris, Bob, Ashley, Allison, Emily, Tommy, Kyle and Kaitlyn. Also missed by her siblings, Madeline McNeil, Geraldine Forestell and husband Bob, Ed Prieur and wife Connie, Don Prieur and wife Donna, Mae Clifford and husband Dan, Betty Palmer and husband Dave and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Raymond Prieur and her brother Harold Prieur. Rose will be sorrily missed by the community. She worked 20 years along side her husband to feed and clothe those in need through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Their hard work was recognized in 1998 when they were named Leamington's Citizens of the year. Rose was employed at F.W. Woolworth's for 34 years when she retired as Personnel Manager. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Prayers from the Funeral Home Monday, June 12, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. then to St. Michael's Church for Mass to celebrate Rose's life at 10 a.m. Fr. Frank Murphy officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial cemetery , Leamington. Catholic Womens League Prayer 3:00 pm Sunday. Parish prayers 8:30 pm Sunday.
