DIZON - At home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, November 24, 2000 VIRIGINIA PANGAN DIZON, age 53 of Sarnia. Loving wife of Amado Dizon. Dear mother of Theresa and Amanda. Also survived by brother Ted Pangan and his wife Riza and sisters Ann Barton and her husband Ray and Cleotilde Nejal and her husband Rodolfo, aunt Milagros Santiago, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Quiter and Joven Dizon, Dennis and Nieva Dizon, Rosario Pambilo Morales, Pacencia and Estelleto Oblea, and Miguelito and Florencia Dizon, nieces and nephews Dennis and Jessica Dizon, Judy Collins and husband Brian, Oliver Pangan, Dolly Li and husband Lee, Myrna Chanco and husband Luis and Danilo Dizon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Phillippines and also many friends and relatives in Sarnia, St. Clair Michigan, Toronto and the Phillippines. She is predeceased by her parents Pablo and Natividad Pangan and brother Joventino Pangan. Virginia was born in the Phillipines and moved to Canada in 1971. She worked at Versa Care Nursing Home for over 25 years and she was a valued member of the Filipino-Canadian Community of Sarnia. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Interment Resurrection cemetery. Elmo, Giuseppe (Joe)

ELMO - GIUSEPPE (JOE) ELMO died peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Sarnia on the morning of Tuesday November 14th, 2000, age 72. Loving husband of Antonina (nee Sottosanti) Elmo. Cherished father of Rocco Elmo. Predeceased by his parents Rocco & Nicoletta (nee Pagliaro) Elmo, his parents in-law Giovanni & Angela (nee Spinnato) Sottosanti, brothers Salvatore and Sebastiano Elmo and brother-in-law Salvatore Liuzzi. Mr. Elmo is survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Giuseppe will be sadly missed and forever remembered. Loving mother of Leigh Cunningham, North Bay and Kristen Cunningham, Sarnia. Born in Toronto, Joyce is the daughter of the late Leigh & Laura Hartman. She will be greatly missed by Cory Goudreau, Sarnia, Debbie Jeannault, North Bay and her closest friends Ruth Kernohan, Gwen Marshall, Bonnie Ryan and Marilyn McDermid. Joyce worked many years in the Sarnia retail market including Keelans Ltd., co-owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics and finally co-owner of Around the World Travel & Cruises. Dear grandmother of twenty-three and great grandmother of fifteen. Sister of Sterry Alberga, Padmore, Jamaica. Predeceased by son Lawrence, two sisters and two brothers. Cora was a member of Sarnia Seventh Day Adventist Church and formerly a member of Windsor Seventh Day Adventist Church & The Everton Park Seventh Day Adventist Church, St. Andrew, Jamaica. In her native Jamaica, she was active in community activities including the agricultural society, family planning, social work, politics and education. Loving Baba of Michael Godwin (Jodi); Julie Godwin-Noye (Kevin); Colin Godwin (Michelle); Brian Tetreault; Mike Marshall (Jeanette); Robert Storozuk and Kevin Storozuk (Tamara). Dear Baba-Baba of Katie, Connor, & Cameron Godwin-Noye, Jessica & Travis Tetreault, Jerica & Michael Godwin, James Marshall, and Gavin Storozuk. Also survived by sister Anne Reid, step-sister Marion Hills (Mike), and many neices and nephews. Predeceased by parents John and Kathryn Martyniuk, step-mother Mary and great grand-daughter Shayla. Loving brother of Giuliana, Maria Assunta, Margarita and Beatrice all of Italy. Brother-in-law of Antonio Andreotti of Italy, Nerina & Ugo Bianchi, Nick & Lucille Sepich, Pat & Peter Southcott. Dear uncle to Olimpia, Anna Maria, Igor, Pamela & Giada of Italy; and David, Nino, Gina, Ashley & Jordan, all of Sarnia. Also a great uncle to several nieces & nephews. Ernesto was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and Owner and Operator of Toneguzzo Trucking. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Dear step-father of Michelle Rondeau, Sarnia, Janine Zugec-Slupeiks, Ottawa and Anita Bouffard, Sarnia. Grandfather of three and step-grandfather of seven grandchildren. Brother of Jackie and Jack Young, Montreal. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Mary and wife Pat Blanchfield. Richard is a retiree of Sunoco, a choir member at St. Benedict's Church and a resident of Sprucedale Nursing Home for the last several years. Peter was a head nurse at Sarnia General Hospital for 38 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many friends and patients.
