Dykstra - At the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, August 12, 2000. Durk Augustine Dykstra of RR#8 St. Thomas in his 63rd year. Born in Witmarsum, The Netherlands on October 13, 1937 son of Mrs. Catherina (Anema) Dykstra of Strathroy and the late John Dykstra. Beloved husband of Margaret (Howey) Dykstra. Dear father to David Dykstra and wife Teresa of RR#3 Tillsonburg and Deborah Thomas and husband Ken of Rogers Rd., Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Samantha and Elizabeth Dykstra and Kurtis and Aaron Thomas. He will be sadly missed by brothers Bill and friend Dickie of Bayfield, Cecil and wife Joan of RR#1 Aylmer, and Shel and wife Charmain of Innerkip, Tony of London and Peter and wife Elsie of Goderich; sisters Pat Buren and husband Lawrence of Strathroy, Dorothy Reymer and husband Eef of Lucan, Anne Rovers and husband Bert of London, Marie White and husband Walter of Ingersoll, Agnes Lansink and husband Herman of RR#2 Denfield and a number of nieces and nephews. Durk came to Canada in 1953, lived at RR#8 St. Thomas for 37 years and was a Machine operator with Nielson Dairy. He was a member of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Columbus Club. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 7-9 P.M. & Monday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. where the prayers will be held on Monday at 7:00 P.M. The funeral mass will be celebrated from Our Lady Or Sorrows R.C. Church on Tuesday, August 15, 2000 at 1:00 P.M. Interment , Aylmer cemetery. Father Rick Dales, officiating. Donations to the Cancer Society or the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital would be appreciated.

FOREMAN - At the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday August 11, 2000. Gwendolyn (Randall) Foreman of St., Thomas and formerly of Scarborough in her 85 year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Foreman (1985) and Robert Doyle Sr. Loved mother of Robert and Jill Doyle of Peterborough and Susan Doyle of Orillia. Grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son Gerald Doyle. Relatives and friends will be received at the Arn Funeral Home, Dutton Monday 7-9, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 15 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Fairview cemetery.

JENNERICH - at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 12, 2000. Oskar Waldemar Jennerich of R.R. #1, Eden in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Lydia (Blum) Jennerich. Dear father of Helmut and wife Marie of Aurora and William of London. Loving grandfather to Stephen, Heather and Brian. Sister to Hedwig Jennerich of Minneapolis, Minn. Special uncle to Iris Brown of London. Predeceased by his first wife Emma Jennerich (1969). Born in Lithuania on August 8, 1918 son of the late Gustav and Martha (Dengler Jennerich. Oskar came to Canada in 1954 from Germany and was a general farmer. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, the Ark. Lodge #404 I.O.O.F in Springfield. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2000 at 11:00 am. Interment , Aylmer cemetery. Rev. Henry Schaper, officiating. donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.

TURNER - Jo-Anne of Erieau passed away suddenly on Saturday August 12, 2000 at her late residence. Born in Erieau 54 years ago daughter of the late Joseph McCarthy and Mary Bruley. She is survived by her husband David (Larry) Turner and her children Wayne and his wife Vicky Currie of Port Stanley; Kim and her husband Brent James of Lyons; Tricia and husband Nick Doyle of Erieau. Memaw to Chad and Mallory Currie; Elisha, Misty and Wesley James; Taylor, Kennedy, Tawnya and Nicole Doyle. Sister Nancy and husband Cam Fulkerson of Erieau. Predeceased by granddaughter Mackenzie Doyle (1995), sister Betty Campbell (1995) and husband George Currie. Also survived by nieces and nephews, special friends Doris and Ellwood Harrogate. The family will receive friends at the J. L. Ford Funeral Home in Blenheim on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm and where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Tim Joyce, Word of Life Church officiating. Interment in Evergreen cemetery , Blenheim. Memorials to the Heart & Stroke or diabetes Associations would be appreciated.

BROWN - Eileen Elizabeth of St. Thomas, on Saturday, August 12, 2000, at her late residence, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Leo James Brown and dearly loved mother of Michael Brown of London, May Veronica and her husband Len Parkins of St. Thomas, Kathryn Denise Brown of London, Christopher Brown of St. Thomas, Tracey Anne Palmer of London and the late James Brown. Dear sister-in-law of Barbara Burrell of Buffalo. Loved grandmother of Michelle, Mark, Stephen, Tim, Katie, Jennifer, Kayleigh and Jessica. Sadly missed by 6 great grandchildren. A private service was held at St. Anne's Church on Tuesday morning. Cremation, with ashes to be interred in Holy Angels' cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Leslie Burrell Mangia Scholarship Fund or St. Anne's Building Fund. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St, St. Thomas in charge of arrangements. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Eileen.

Van Meekeren - Racheal Elisabeth - was taken home to be with her Heavenly father, on Sunday, August 13, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer (Zephaniah 3:17). Precious daughter of Steven and Grace (Van Willegen), dear sister of Jeremey and Kevin and his fiancee Lori and special aunt to Zachary. Predeceased by her Opa Van Willegen (1997) and Grandpa Van Meekeren (1999). Special grand daughter of Betty Van Meekeren of St, Thomas. She will be sadly missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Flowers gratefully declined by Racheal's request. donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Racheal attended London District Christian Secondary School and was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in St. Thomas. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas until Thursday afternoon and then to the First Christian Reformed Church where funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Interment Elmdale cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Racheal.

WAGNER - The funeral of Douglas C. Wagner of St. Thomas, husband of the late Mrs. Betty (Irons-Carter) Wagner (Mar. 16, 1990) was held on Saturday afternoon from the Sifton Funeral Home, Wellington St., St. Thomas. Mr. Wagner, a retired grader operator with Dufferin Construction, Oakville, Ontario, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2000, in his 78th year. Rev. Dr. Andrew Human, minister of Knox Presbyterian Church officiated and Ms. Lynn Ostrosser presided at the organ. Following cremation, private interment is to be made in Shedden cemetery. In attendance at the funeral service were relatives and friends from Michigan, Stoney Creek, Hamilton, Burlington, Watford, Chatham, London, St. Thomas and the surrounding area.

NICHOLS - At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Thursday, August 17, 2000. Mrs. Laura E (Williams) Nichols, formerly of R.R, #3, Shedden, in her 74th year. Wife of the late Glenn Nichols (Nov. 17, 1981). Mother of Mrs. Marie Calhoun and her husband Bob of R.R. #7, St. Thomas. Grandmother of Rob Calhoun and his partner Teresa and Tracey Calhoun, all of London. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home. Interment in McArthur cemetery , Southwold Twp. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

BOND - At Extendicare, Port Stanley on Sunday, August 20, 2000. G. Everett Bond of R.R.#5, St. Thomas, in his 79th year. Husband of Mrs. Jane (Vandervort) Zavitz-Bond and the late Mrs. Nellie (Fishleigh) Bond (Apr. 26, 1987). Father of Mrs. Marie Roberts and her husband David of R.R.#1, Sparta, Mrs. Alice Goodall and her husband Garry of Marthaville and late infant, Brian E. Bond. Grandfather of Elena, Darryl, Emily, Kerri and Alica. Step-father of Katrina, Phoebe, Martha, Daniel, Louisa and James and their families. Brother of Mrs. Berniece Egypt of Petrolia, Mrs. Winnifred Stuchberry and her husband Fred of Sarnia and Mrs. Gladys Cousins of St. Mary's. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his 1st wife and son, Mr. Bond was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the Sparta United Church on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Sparta cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of one's choice gratefully acknowledged.

PAICE - At St. Joseph's Hospital, London on Saturday, August 19, 2000. Mrs. Edythe M. (Gould) Paice of London and formerly of St. Thomas, in her 75th year. Mother of the late Bryan C. Paice (1979) and grandmother of Christopher Puffer of Kitchener. Niece of John Bodkin and Mrs. Thelma Bodkin, both of St. Thomas. Also survived by a number of cousins. There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Following cremation, private interment is to be made in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas. Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas.
