Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, March 25, 2001, Jack Atkinson in his 88th year, husband of the late Mildred (Fess) Atkinson, dear father of Janet and Bill Weatherston of Beachville, Joan and Murray Shepherd of Jarvis, Joyce and Russell Smith of Caledonia, and Ron and Beth Atkinson of Cheapside. Predeceased by son Robert (1953) and grandson Kenneth (1968). Survived by twelve grandchildren, brother of Keith Atkinson (and the late Eva) of Cheapside, brother-in-law of Raymond Fess (and the late Jean) of Simcoe. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jack farmed all his life in Cheapside and was well known for his herd of milking shorthorn cattle. Brian was a retired teacher after 32 years with Hagersville Secondary School.
