On Thursday, February 23, 2006, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, in her 80th year. Loving wife of the late Leon. Beloved mother of Roger Zbigniew, Teresa Cromb and Don Deschambault, Ted Tadeusz and Chit Cabbuag and Casimira Karen Wierzbicki and her husband Mike. Dear grandmother of Michael. Also survived by her loving brothers Stanislaw in Poland, Marian in Toronto and their families. Family and friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705), on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 1 p.m.at St. Teresa's Catholic Church (Tenth St.). Eli Clarke Jr.

Peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2006 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Frances. Adored by his daughters Veronica (Scott), Kelley and son Kevin. Brother to Gerald, Lucy, Margaret, Marie and the late Matilda. Eli was a long time employee of Source Medical for 39 years and a devoted Montreal Canadians Fan. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 7 to 9pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11am. Donna Balaura

Passed away peacefully on February 26, 2006 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Harry and son Peter. Loving mother to Alex and his wife Alexandra. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Marianne (Kiarash), Andy, Nadia (Paul), Terry (Sharla), Adrian (Laura) and great grandchildren Basil and Luke. Agnes Bernier

Passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Centre-Mississauga on March 7, 2006 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Ken for 55 years. Loving mother of Brenda (Jack Salley), Joanne Hutchcraft (the Late Terry), Cynthia (Larry Stevens), Keith Bernier (June), Beverley (Randy Mulder) and Cathy Bernier. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Vincent (Jasmine), Christopher (Tanya), Bradley (Michelle), Tara (Kevin), Danielle (David), Adam, Stephanie, Brooks, Dillon, Mitchell, Robert, Michael, Alan and great grandchildren Tyriek, Devonte, Lucas, Ethan, Brianne, Riley, Bradley, Faith and Destiny. A special thank you to all the staff at the Trillium Health Centre for their care. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Dore (Ted) Kushar

On, March 7, 2006, Mr. Dore (Ted) Kushar of Oakville in his 91st year. Ted’s faith in God and love for his family guided him and gave him strength. Cherished and devoted husband of Mara. Loving father of John of Oakville and Dorce of Slovenia. He will be greatly missed by his grandsons Andre of Oakville, Bostjan, Mateja and Petra of Slovenia and his great grandchild Nika of Slovenia. Ted will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends here in Oakville and in Slovenia. Ted was born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He participated in the 1936 Olympics and was and avid mountain climber and skier in his beloved Slovenia. Ted and Mara moved to Canada in 1952 where he perfected his love of book-binding as a career. Ted made some lifetime friends in Collingwood where he continued to ski. He was blessed with a wonderful voice and sang in the choir at Marije Pomagaj (Our Lady Help of Christians) Church in Toronto. We will miss you terribly, but remember you are always in our hearts for the unique person you were. We love you. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Sean Paul Miller

Passed away peacefully at home in his sleep with his mother by his side on March 12, at the age of 35. Loving son of Pat Miller and Domonic Miller. He will be sadly missed by his sister Tracy and her husband Chris, nieces Alycia and Clairissa, the family dog Sasha and extended family and friends. Passed away peacefully at Humber River Regional Hospital-Finch on March 12, 2006 at the age of 82. Loving father of Olga and her husband Peter Zurawel. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kathryn and Laura (Adrian). Peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2006 at Markham-Stouffville Hospital, Miro, beloved husband of Tilka. Dear loving father of Carol Rak (Michael) and Peter Rak (Irene). Dear grandfather of Mitchell, Nicole, Madeleine, Emma, Tess and Anna. Sadly missed by his sister Ani Zumer (late Frank) and his brothers Vincent (Ani) and Max (Meta). John Scott Young

Passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Centre-Mississauga, on March 15, 2006, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Joy. Loving father of Scott and his wife Helen and Doug. He will be sadly missed by his grandson Noah. Survived by his sisters Marjory MacDonald, Pictou, N.S.; Rita (Jack), Guilfoyle, Halifax, N.S.; Patricia (Ted) Johnson, Surrey, B.C; Nancy (Carmen) Fader, Halifax, N.S.; Lilla (Alan) Tanner, Halifax, N.S.; and brothers James (Donna) Young, Pictou, N.S.; and Bertram (Lugene) Young, Truro, N.S. Predeceased by brother Alexander (Sandy) Young, and parents Albert and Una (Murray) Young. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Clarice (nee Drechsler) Barker

Peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Highbourne Longterm Lifecare Centre in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Jack. Loving mother of Tim and his wife Sonya. Grandma to Craig, Pamela, Kelly-Ann, and proud great-grandma to twins Carson and Claire. Clarice will be missed by all her family and friends. Annie Smith (nee Ross)

Annie passed away on March 19th, 2006 after a long battle with cancer, wife of the late Peter Smith will be dearly missed by her children George, Peter, Robert, Margaret, Mary, Michael and her 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Jozef Herz

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Jozef Herz suddenly on March 16, 2006. Loving husband of Kvetuse Kafka, dear father of Andrea Herz and stepfather to Iva Kirby and Michelle Binswanger, son of Frantisek and Alzbeta Herz, brother to Fero and Milos Herz and uncle to their children. Karolina Borkowski (Bork)

In her 81st year after fighting a courageous battle, her physical heart weakened, but her spiritual heart strengthened on Thursday, March 23, 2006. She was visited by many family and friends in the CCU at Trillium Health Centre Mississauga. Born in Poland on October 30, 1925. Karolina was brought to Canada with 100 young women sponsored by Federal minister Dion. She met her husband Kazimerz at the Polish Social Club and they were married for 50 lovely and lively years. She was a family person, and sponsored her family to Canada to develop hope for future family generations. She led an active life in business and community; she was especially proud of Brantford Rental, which she ran for 25 years, until she retired at the age of 75. She also enjoyed outdoor life and was proud that she climbed Gros Morne Mountain in Newfoundland at age 65. Karolina loved cats and dogs and was a supporter of the SPCA in Brantford. Predeceased by her husband Kazimierz. She is survived by her daughter Irene, son Richard and grandsons David and Ryan. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the CCU at Trillium Health Centre Mississauga. Thank you to family and friends which were pillars of strength and loved Karolina. She will be deeply missed and will always be our Queen.
