Suddenly on Wednesday, November 29th, 2006. Vincent is survived by his wife Doris, son Adam and daughter Michelle. Vincent will be sadly missed by his brother Stanley, sister Wanda and his many family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 2 4 & 6 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa s Catholic Church (Tenth Street) Interment Park Lawn cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Elmer Vincent Webber

Peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital on November 29, 2006. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite Webber of 43 years. Loving father of Wayne (Diane), Terry and Gary (Lori). Proud Grandpa of Wyatt and Amber. Loving uncle of Wilfred, Elmer and Doreen. Fondly remembered by many family and friends. Proudly served his country in Her Majesty s Canadian Navy during the Second World War on the HMS Puncher . Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. Legion service to follow. Cremation. Dr. Glen A. McDonald, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C)
Orthopaedic Surgeon
(1926 2006)

Unexpectedly on November 25, 2006 with his family by his side, at St. Joseph s Health Centre, Toronto. Glen will be missed by his wife Violet, his sons, Christopher and Paul and his daughter, Sam. Glen graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1949. He continued his training to obtain Diplomas in both General and Orthopaedic Surgery. Glen s career specializing in orthopaedics spanned over four decades while holding positions on the staff of St. Joseph s Health Centre and at Queensway General Hospital (now Trillium Health Centre, Queensway site). Among his numerous contributions, he served as Chief of Orthopaedics at St. Joe s and as Clinical Teacher, Department of Surgery, Uof T. Glen was passionate about his work and was committed to providing quality orthopaedic services. He enjoyed the physical aspect of his specialty and the variety of working with patients of all ages. Glen was also defined by his deep love of the outdoors and of physically challenging sport. He enthusiastically immersed himself into yacht racing, tennis, skiing and field dog trials. In his 70 s, Glen took up snow boarding. After retirement in 2000, Glen moved to his favourite retreat in the Muskokas. He occupied himself by analyzing the markets, exploring vegetarian cooking, gardening, training his dogs, listening to jazz and to the wind rushing through the pines. Thomas Madden

passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2007 at St. Joseph s Health Centre at the age of 77. Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen. Survived by his loving son Tim (Sylvia) and granddaughter KaLee. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law John and brother Eugene. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home; 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday at 2pm. Cremation.

Anna Gayhart (nee McKenna)

Peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at North York General Hospital in her 86th year. Anna Gayhart, beloved wife of the late George Gayhart, loving mother of Janet (Thomas McMonigle) of The Kawartha Lakes, Joanne (Dennis Barr) of Mimico and the late Patricia. Dear grandmother of John (and wife Stephanie), Philip and Alaina McMonigle (fianc Michael Cox) and Matthew and Michael Barr. Anna will be fondly remembered by her brother Joseph McKenna (Mary) and her sister-in-law Mickey. Predeceased by her brothers Patrick, Frank and Daniel. Fondly remembered by numerous family and friends. A former nurse at St Joseph's Health Centre. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Teresa's Roman Catholic Church (123 Eleventh Street in Etobicoke) on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. Donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Mike Garcia

passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga site at the age of 58. He will be fondly remembered by his father Miguel, wife Valerie, daughter Alisa and son-in-law Jason, son Mike and daughter-in-law Michelle, and grandchildren Milo and Ethan. He was a good and generous man and he lived a very happy life with his family. His greatest joy was in wanting to help others and give his support when needed. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him.

John Bokla

After a brief stay at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga. John died peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. He was the beloved husband of Menka and a supportive, lovable and proud father to John, Michael, Beverley and their spouses Barbara, Louise and Will. His 8 grandchildren Sarah, Jaclyn, Jordan, Sydney, Ryan, Logan, Meghan and Matthew will miss their Pappy/Grandpa very much as they each brought great joy and laughter to his life. Brother of Steve (Betty) and Marie Bowyer (Bruce) and Brother-in-law to Marylou Stavroff, John will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. John lived a full and eventful life. He was a proud WWII veteran, dedicated member of A.A. and Toronto Thoroughbred Racing Club enthusiast. His Ukrainian heritage was very important to him. He was a talented tenor with the Don Cossack and Shevchenko Male Choirs. In recent years, John was most pleased singing and performing with the Welland Ukrainian Mandolin Orchestra. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Michael Wong and his father, Dr. Frank Wong for their devoted care and attention. The kindness of the Fourth Floor Medicine nurses is greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Welland Mandolin Orchestra, 342 Ontario Road, Welland, Ontario L3B 5C3 in John s memory.

Stanislaw Kornatowski

It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Stan on Thursday, January 11, 2007 after a courageous battle. He is now back in the loving arms of his mother Wiktoria. Survived by his father Roman. Loving brother of Wanda, Halina and her husband Jim Dinner. Proud uncle of Tom, Andy and Katie. Much loved and special friend of Wendy and Bob. Richard Joseph Joe Mitchell

Joe Mitchell passed away peacefully on January 12th, 2007 in his 80th year. Joe remained a beloved and devoted husband to Margaret for the past 59 years. Predeceased by his son, Brian. Loving father to Diane (Gauthier), her husband Steve, and grandchildren; Lisa and Paul. Cherished father of Gail (Heasty), her husband Brad, and grandson Mitchell. Sadly missed by his brother Bill ( Ted ) Mitchell of St. Catherines. Joe was a longtime resident of Alderwood, past elder of Alderwood Presbyterian Church, member of Weston Presbyterian Church, member of Masonic Long Branch Lodge and retired employee of Christie Brown & Co. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbours, all of whom knew him to be a kind, helpful and giving soul. Our thanks and appreciation to the staff of The Village of Humber Heights, for their dedicated care of our father over the past 2 years. Barbara Ann Thorpe (nee Brown)

Peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in her 72nd year. Beloved daughter of Carl and Cecilia (DeCaire) Brown. Dear sister of Kenneth, Leonard, Lloyd and June York. Predeceased by brothers Frank (Barbara) and Donald; sisters Bernice Romanuik, Joyce Hayden and Deanna Tieche. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Margaret and Isabel; brothers-in-law Jim Tieche and Tom Hayden. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at St Teresa s Catholic Church (123 Eleventh St.) on Saturday, January 20th at 3 pm.

Peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the age of 75 at Kensington Long Term Care Centre. Good friend of June, Lil, Laura, Brenda, Pat, Bob and Dee. Fondly remembered by numerous friends and acquaintances. Long time employee of Toronto Dominion Visa. Animal lover and supporter of the Toronto Humane Society. Cremation. Interment of cremated remains in private ceremony at St Andrew s St James cemetery in Orillia at a later date.

Maria Kancer

passed away at the Mississauga Trillium Health Centre on Saturday January 20, 2007, with her devoted and loving children, Mary and John at her side. Maria was predeceased by her late husband and best friend, Janez and her brother, Tinek. She will be dearly missed by her loving sisters Mila and Hedvika and their families.
