NIKOLAUS - Maria at Terrace Lodge in Aylmer on Thursday, February 7, 2002 in her 88th year. She was born Maria Stierl on March 10, 1914 in Petersdorf Romania. She was a resident of Terrace Lodge since 1996. She was a member of St. Peter s Lutheran Church in Kitchener and St. John s Lutheran Church in Aylmer. A member of Transylvania Club. She is survived by her loving daughter Katie and her husband Michael Bachner of St. Thomas. Dear Oma of Jennifer and Jeffrey Motz, Jane and her husband Jay Moodie, Michael and his wife Cathy Bachner and Stephen and his wife Noelle Bachner. Loving Omama of Jessica and Joshua Moodie, Nicholas and Michael Bachner, Arden and Codie Bachner. Also survived by dear sisters Katharina Gottschick
of Kitchener, Rosie Schneider of Brantford and stepsister Maria Kroner of Germany and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Michael (1991) and three daughters Maria in infancy (1934), Maria (1944) Rosina (1987). Friends may call at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel (742-4481). 51 Benton at Church St. in Kitchener on Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2002 at 11 o clock. Rev. Henry Schaper officiating. Interment St. Peter s Lutheran cemetery. Donations to charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

WEBSTER - At Bobier Villa on Tuesday evening, February 5, 2002. Mac McIntyre) Webster of Dutton and formerly of Wallacetown, in his 89th year. Predeceased by his wife Wanita (Sloan) in 1994. Mac was a farmer all his ife, an avid and talented
euchre player, loved his family, enjoyed traveling and in his latter years he appreciated all the visits from friends, family and all the caring staff at Bobier Villa. Lovingly remembered by his daughters Mary Taylor of St . Thomas, Helen and her husband Mike Mooser of West Lorne and Linda Russell and her husband John Bishop of Nepean. Loving grandfather of Bradley Taylor, Blain Taylor-Foell and his wife Deanna Foell, Amy Mooser and her husband Bill Schneider, Andrew Mooser and his fiancee Suzanne Hayes, Sandra and her husband Paul Anthony and Susan Russell and her fiance Jason Maidment. Great grandfather of Carter. Loving brother of Fern Keith of St. Thomas and close friend for many years of Charlie and his wife Phyllis McDonald of Wallacetown.
Predeceased by his son-in-law George Taylor (2000) and brother-in-law Allan Keith. Friends may call at the West Lorne Chapel on Friday, February 8, 2002, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted from the chapel on Saturday at 1:30 pm, Rev. K. Breithaupt officiating. Interment Elmdale cemetery in St. Thomas at 4:00 pm. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Bobier Villa or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Padfield Funeral Homes (519) 785-0810.

BURWELL - Randy Burwell of St. Thomas, passed away in St. Thomas on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at the age of 42 year. Dear father of Tavi Burwell of Toronto and Scott Burwell of Peterborough. Loving son of the Robert & Therese Burwell of Tillsonburg and grandson of Lewis Burwell also of Tillsonburg. Also survived by a sister Candace Burwell of Chatham and a brother Chad Burwell and his wife Tracy of Cambridge, as well as his uncles Donald Burwell and his wife Annie of London, and John Burwell & Helen Kyser of Port Stanley. Also survived by many cousins. Predeceased by an aunt Joan Myers and an uncle Jack Myers. At Randy s request there shall be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation shall take place. If desired, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one s choice. Ostrander s Funeral Home, Tillsonburg have been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.

DOERRINGER - Rudolf of Port Stanley, on Sunday, February 10, 2002, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Maria Berta Doerringer (Sept. 1998) and dear father of Ursula and her husband Magnus Schweiger of London, Margaret Doerringer and her partner Ray McLean of Quebec and Rosita and her husband Thomas Morgan of Port Stanley. Loved grandfather of Sonya, Mario Jos e, Ryan and Amanda and great grandfather of Charlie and K ssy. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a cousin in Germany. Rudolf was born in Germany, March 6, 1920. He came to Canada in 1951 and has resided in Port Stanley the past 20 years. A memorial service will be announce at a later date. Cremation with burial of ashes in Christ Church cemetery , Port Stanley. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank all those who assisted at the home in trying to help Rudolf.

KEWLEY - At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, February 8, 2002. George Herbert Herb Kewley of Port Stanley and formerly of Georgetown and St. Thomas, in his 76th year. Born in Stratford, Ontario, Sept. 21, 1926, son of the late Claude and Gertrude (Jarrell) Kewley. Husband of Sheena (Sykes) Kewley. Father of Ted Kewley and his wife Cheryl of Cambridge, Beth Strong and her husband Ken of St. Thomas and Herb Kewley and his wife Shelley of Woodstock. Grandfather of Kristin, Edward, Steven, Wesley, Renee, Sheena and William. Brother of Keith Kewley Sr. and his wife Jean of St. Thomas, Mike Kewley and his wife Anne of Oakville, Hal Kewley and his wife Marie of Bracebridge, late Dan Kewley and late Ken Kewley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Herb was a member of the Galt Red wings Jr. A Hockey Team (1945-46). He won a silver medal with Canada in the 1949 World Championships. He played semi-pro hockey in Scotland, 2 years in Dunfermline and 4 years in Ayr. In 1954, he came to St. Thomas to play for the Sr. B Royals. Herb was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company of Canada s Bramalea Plant. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Following cremation, interment in Christ Churchyard (Anglican), Port Stanley. Memorial donations to the charity of one s choice gratefully acknowledged.

LABORD - Blanche Florence (Shaw), 92 years, formerly of Comber, at Valleyview Home for the Aged, St. Thomas on Saturday, February 9, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Dennis Labord (1977). Loving mother of Marion Chajkowski of Windsor, William (Bill) Labord & friend Joyce Giroux of Tilbury, Arthur Labord & wife Barbara of St. Thomas, Carlyle Labord & wife Madeleine of Windsor. Dearest grandmother of 13 grandchildren, & several great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Gladys Roadhouse, Cecil Shaw, & Harold Shaw. Dear sister-in-law of Doris Shaw of Comber. Dear aunt of several nieces and nephews. Visitation at Paul Reaume Funeral Home, Comber Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at the funeral home Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Susan Snelling officiating. Interment at St. George s cemetery , Comber.
