WWII Veteran

At the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital, Napanee, on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. John Henry Turner of Napanee at age 96. Beloved husband of the late Annetta Turner (Knuth). Dear father of Marilyn Mundt (Ralph) of Golden Lake, ON. Grandfather of John Karl Mundt (Wendy) of Golden Lake; and Laurel Mundt of Kingston. Great-grandfather of Ashton Mundt (Lindsay) of Lunenburg, ON; Spencer Mundt of Ottawa; Jason Pringle of Trenton. Great-great-grandfather of Jaxson and Gavin Mundt. Brother of Doris Hickey of Willowdale; and the late Margaret Hill and Bruce Turner. Missed by nieces, nephews, many additional relatives and extended family, and many friends. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West (613-354-3341) on Saturday, January 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment Riverview cemetery. Memorial donations to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation, or a cancer donation of the individual's choice, would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully, at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital in Napanee on Monday, January 14, 2013. John Chapman Haggerty of Napanee at age 81. Beloved husband of Nina Haggerty (nee Walker). Dear father of Gerald Haggerty (Cindy) of Napanee; Vernon (Penny) of Trenton and Daniel (Nicholle) of Barrie. Loving grandfather of Terra Haggerty (Andrew Mountney) of Odessa; Kevin Haggerty (Natalie Holder) of Napanee and Benjamin Haggerty of Trenton. Great-grandfather of Savannah Stern of Odessa. Peacefully, at the Village Green Nursing Home in Selby, on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Edmund James Maxwell of Tamworth at age 92. Beloved husband of the late Helen Maxwell (nee York) and dear father of Linda of Kingston; Larry (Jane) of Ennismore; Ron (Linda) of Bath; Glenn (Cindy) of Tamworth; Carol (Rick) of Courtice; Roy (Jackie) and Rick of Tamworth. Fondly remembered by 16 Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Brother of Marie Griffen of Napanee and the late Raymond, Margaret, Frank and Robert. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Tamworth (613-379-2997) on Thursday, January 17 from 9:30 a.m., followed by Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment Tamworth cemetery. McGINNESS, Kelly

Suddenly, yet peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Kelly Jean McGinness in her 42nd year. Beloved and cherished daughter of Harold and Jean of Napanee. Loving sister of Dan (Tammy) of Trenton and Cory (Jamie) of Picton. Doting aunt of Jesse; Jacob and Nathaniel. Very special granddaughter of Elizabeth Brooks (late Norman) of Napanee; and the late Delbert and Mavis McGinness. Sadly missed by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Kelly will be always remembered by her Pathways Family. Grandfather of Mandee MacDonald (Jordan) of Kingston; Chad VanSteenbergen (Rebecca) of Camden East; Todd VanSteenbergen (Lisa) of Kingsford; Natasha Wright (Jason) of London; Richelle Moore and Nicole Moore of Napanee. Great-grandfather of Rebecca, Abigail and Olivia VanSteenbergen. Brother of Hazel Wicklam (Ted) of Tamworth and the late Jack Henderson (Stella). Fondly remembered by the Frizzell family. At the Friendly Manor Nursing Home in Deseronto, on Sunday, December 30, 2012. Joy Victoria Murphy of Napanee at age 85. Beloved wife of Ernest Murphy. Sister of Shirley Ferrier of Calgary, Alta and Isabelle Atkinson of Durham, ON, and sister-in-law of Darlene Hastie of Durham, ON and predeceased by her parents Alex and Annie Hastie and brothers Graham Hastie and Bill Hastie and sister in law Ethel Hastie. Cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Riverside cemetery in Napanee in the spring. In the care of Hannah Funeral Home, Napanee (613-354-3341).
