Peacefully on Tuesday November 25, 2003 at the Creedan Valley Nursing Home, Creemore at the age of 76. Phyllis of Stayner, beloved wife of the late J. D. (1997). Loving mother of Judy (Robert Walker), Marjorie (David Patchett) and Jim (Donna). Dear grandma of Lisa (Simon King), Lori (Glenn Curl), Ashley, Mark, Michael, Richard and Jeffery and great grandson Dakota. Survived by her sisters-in law Verna Knox, Marie Knox, Ruth Miller and Dorothy Barker (Ken). Predeceased by her brothers Bill and Ken Knox.

At the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer, In her 74th year. Mary Drysdale of RR#1, Elmvale, beloved wife of Jack Tinney. Dear mother of Kathy & Peter Daniels and Peter & Angela Tinney all of Elmvale. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Krista (Shawn) Snow, Michael Daniels, Andrew & Megan Tinney. Sister of the late Susie Dwinnell, Lloyd and Don Drysdale.

Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Amanda, Steven, Mathew, Melissa, Justin, Jonathan and Patrick. Survived by his brothers Murray and Bob Sells and predeceased by his brothers Fred and Malcolm Sells. He will be fondly remembered by Jeannine Dawes.

Gordon of the 4th Line, former Nottawasaga Township, beloved husband of Mary Helen McArthur for over 54 years. Loving father of Marilyn and David Acton of Toronto, Earl of former Nottawasaga Township, Joan and Leonard Larre of Saskatchewan and Shirley and John Mikulic of Milton. Cherished grandfather of Trevor Acton, Amy, Danielle and John Larre and Daniel and Christopher Mikulic. Survived by his sister Helen Cose of Stayner.

In his 86th year died peacefully at Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge on September 21, 2003. Gordon is survived by loving partner, Doreen Slater and sons Don and Ross. He was predeceased by wife, Elsie (nee: Noble), son Murray and brother Grant. He is also survived by sister Dorothy Wilson; daughters-in-law Gail, Joyce and Didi; grandchildren Steve, Brad, Jennifer, Richard, Marsha and Julia and their respective spouses; by 10 great-grandchildren and many close friends.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday September 24, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thurday September 25, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Vernon was retired from Base Borden after 37 years as a steam fitter.
