Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, at the age of 74. Guy was married for 50 years to his beloved wife Patricia who predeceased him by only a few months. Guy was the father of three daughters: Louise and her husband John Gilmour and former husband Barry Gurberg; Jackie and her husband Ed Kus; Caroline Lussier and her husband Marc Laurin. Guy loved and was very proud of his grand-children: Richard, Francis, David, Jessica, Kristine, Samuel and Sabrina who are his legacy and who each carry with them a little bit of Grandpa. His three brothers were a big part of his life; he leaves behind Jean (Gisèle) and is predeceased by Pierre and Michel. Guy is also predeceased by his parents Jacques and Yvette. Born in Montreal, Québec in 1937, he enjoyed travelling the world through his work at Lavalin. It brought him to Algeria, Haiti, Uganda, Sudan, Costa Rica, throughout Europe and so many other places. He especially enjoyed the trips where Pat could join him. As a civil engineer, he managed many roads, plants and building projects. He enjoyed his work tremendously ending his career at Canada Post where he headed up the procurement department. Guy moved to James Bay from 1978 to 1980 and then from Montreal to Ottawa in 1992 where he spent many happy years surrounded by his family. He enjoyed summers at the family cottage in Labelle, where he could be seen with a hammer in hand, by the dock fixing something or playing in his stamps at the desk by the window. We all remember him with a pair of tweezers in hand arranging his stamp collection. A tall and distinguished business man, Guy was a great provider to his family.
