Gautheir, Raymond

It is with great sadness that the Gauthier family announces the sudden passing of Raymond D. Gauthier, who died July 29th, 2012 at the age 78, at his new residence at the Village Riviera in Gatineau, Québec. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmen Martin, the devoted father of Marie-Noël and caring grandfather of Miguel Bouchard.

Tremblay, Jean

Of Navan, Ontario. We are saddened by the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend after a long and courageous battle with multiple-myeloma at the age of 68 on Sunday, July 29th, 2012. Jean leaves in mourning his wife of 42 years, Maggie (Bourgeois), his children Julie, John (Staci Quigley) and Robbie (Blaine Sack). He was a dear Pe-père to Noah and Abby, and special son-in-law to Dorothy Poirier. He is predeceased by his son Michael, parents Juliette Homier and Hector Tremblay, and brother Marcel. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings and their families: Thérèse, Cécile, Frank, Lucienne, Hélène, Madeleine, André, Alban, Ernest, Pauline and Pierre.

passed away peacefully at home, on July 26, 2012 at the age of 59 . Son of Laurette Labelle and the late Ernest Drouin. Loving husband of Monique St-Arnaud. Cherished father of Richard (Chantal), Simon (Annick) and Sophie. Proud grandfather of Luka and Christian. Dear brother of Réjean (Rollande), Roger (Carole), Claire (Bernard), Michel (Suzanne), Patricia, Paul (Angèle), Louis (Hélène), Claude (Louise), Daniel (Lucie), Francine (Jean-Marie), Guy (Diane), Hélène (Caleb), Jacques (Micheline) and François (Chantal).

Pygas, Michael

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Pygas in his 63rd year. Michael was the beloved son of the late Joseph Goundrill Pygas and Eleanor Rita Keegan. He is survived by his loving daughters Joanne Pygas (Christopher Juneau) and Julie Pygas (Terry McClelland), his brother William Pygas (Margot) and his dear friend and partner Debra Butler.

Langlois, Paul

passed away on July 17, 2012 at the age of 85. Paul was predeceased by his beloved wives Yolande Langlois (2001) and Ruth Danneau (2011). He will be deeply missed by his loving sons Pierre (Antoinette Stokes), Michel, his brother Jean and his granddaughters Marie-Michelle, Émilie and Isabelle, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus, on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Roger Nelligan. Cherished grandmother of Bridget, Philip, Isabelle, Nicolas and great-grandmother (Titi) of Aislynn and Mary-Ann.

passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH), surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the age of 93 years 7 months. Beloved wife of the late Fernand Cousineau and daughter of the late Josephat Grégoire and the late Marie-Louise Goulet.

Langlois, Suzanne

It is with great sadness that after 5 years of battling cancer our beautiful daughter Suzanne passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Ottawa General Hospital surrounded by family. Beloved daughter of Gilles and Sylvia (McDougall), loving sister to brother Jay, cherished by her aunts, Jacqueline Langlois, Madeleine Lidbetter (Langlois) (late Ken), Phyllis McDougall and her dear cousin Tara McDougall. Predeceased by her grandparents Rita (Rocque) and Edouard Langlois and Hugh and Gladys (Bassett) McDougall. Suzanne will also be greatly missed by her other special relatives and many dear friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the 6th and 5th floors at the General Campus for the wonderful care they gave our Suzanne. As well many thanks to Dr. Stan Gertler, Dr. Lochrin, Dr. C. Lupe and their teams who always treated Suzanne with compassion and understanding. In keeping with Suzanne's wishes, donation to Medical Science has taken place, and there will be no funeral or service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Panneton, Guy

passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, at the age of 74. Guy was married for 50 years to his beloved wife Patricia who predeceased him by only a few months. Guy was the father of three daughters: Louise and her husband John Gilmour and former husband Barry Gurberg; Jackie and her husband Ed Kus; Caroline Lussier and her husband Marc Laurin. Guy loved and was very proud of his grand-children: Richard, Francis, David, Jessica, Kristine, Samuel and Sabrina who are his legacy and who each carry with them a little bit of Grandpa. His three brothers were a big part of his life; he leaves behind Jean (Gisèle) and is predeceased by Pierre and Michel. Guy is also predeceased by his parents Jacques and Yvette. Born in Montreal, Québec in 1937, he enjoyed travelling the world through his work at Lavalin. It brought him to Algeria, Haiti, Uganda, Sudan, Costa Rica, throughout Europe and so many other places. He especially enjoyed the trips where Pat could join him. As a civil engineer, he managed many roads, plants and building projects. He enjoyed his work tremendously ending his career at Canada Post where he headed up the procurement department. Guy moved to James Bay from 1978 to 1980 and then from Montreal to Ottawa in 1992 where he spent many happy years surrounded by his family. He enjoyed summers at the family cottage in Labelle, where he could be seen with a hammer in hand, by the dock fixing something or playing in his stamps at the desk by the window. We all remember him with a pair of tweezers in hand arranging his stamp collection. A tall and distinguished business man, Guy was a great provider to his family. He was a very good man and will be sadly missed. Special thanks go out to “his” Hélène and Dr. Louise Coulombe, both angels sent from heaven. Friends are invited to visit at the Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 boul. St. Joseph Blvd., (Orléans) Ottawa, Ontario, on Friday, June 22nd from 6 pm to 9 pm or June 23rd after 9:30am until 10:30 followed by a Service at Divine Infant Church at 11:00am. Lindsay, David

passed away peacefully at home on June 16 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents Robert Lindsay and Lucy Hickes. Devoted husband to Joan (Chevrier). Loving father of Scott (Elizabeth), Karen and Cory. Cherished Grampa to Bradley, Kali, Madison and Dylan. Born and raised in Ottawa, Dave was recruited by the National Research Council in the 1950’s and spent his 46-year career with the organization. In his retirement, Dave enjoyed traveling with his beloved Joan. His grandchildren brought him incredible joy, and they will miss his magic tricks and good-natured teasing. Dave will be remembered for his humour, intelligence and caring spirit. Many thanks to Dr. George Michael, Dr. Louise Coulombe and the staff at Bayshore Home Care for their wonderful care during the last week. Loving Opa to Erik, Karla, Ben, Mark, Ben, Paul, Anna, Katherine and the late Alexander. Henry was from a family of 10 siblings all from Holland. Born in Hull, Oct. 25, 1936, he passed away Sept. 28, 2012 at his home in Ottawa at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by his parents Alfred Parent, former chief of the City of Hull’s No 3 Fire Station, and Hélèna « Léna » Massé, his brothers Bernard, Jean-Paul (Madeleine Bélanger), Oswald (Claudette Jean) and sisters Thérèse (Maurice Leblond), Jeannine (Léonard Tanguay), and Madeleine (Marcel Lacasse).

passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2012 at the age of 90. Wife of the late Philippe Paquette. She leaves to mourn her children : Claire Paquette (John), Clovis, Philippe (Monique); her grandchildren : Valérie (Cédric), Normand (Julie), France (Mike), Isabelle and Mélanie (Jesse); a good companion and friend Danielle Barrette (mother of Isabelle and Mélanie); 3 great-grandchildren : Tex, Dakota and Éliane; her sister-in-law Addy Landry (late Jacques), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends, particularly the “Sarsfield Golden Girls”.

Roger Boutin 1926-2012 (retired psychiatrist) Roger passed away peacefully at home in Ottawa on September 17, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Hilary (nee Graham). Son of Ludivine (Fortier) and Omer-Henri Boutin. Older brother to Yolande (Richard), predeceased by his younger brothers André (Tibi) and Fernand (Monique). He leaves his children (from first wife Bibiane Faubert): Annik (Pierre), Christian (Marie-Claire), Maxime (Lisa) and Eric (Sheila), his step-children : Louise (Ian) and James (Jennifer), his grand-children: Paul-Renaud, Corinne, Florence, Vincent, Camille, Gerard, Philip, Jean-Christophe, Nicole, Olivia and Nelson.
