GARNET ROY RICHARDS
Garnet Roy Richards age 92 of R.R. 3 Dresden passed away at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, St. Josephıs Campus on Wednesday, January 27, 1999. He was born in Camden Township son of the late Joseph Richards and Bertha Hughson. He farmed all of his life in Camden Gore Township. His wife Shirley (Currie) Richards predeceased in 1983. He is survived by two daughters: Betty & Walter Webster of Wabash and Linda & Larry Chapple of Chatham; three sons: Keith & Shirley Richards of Barrie, Jim & Myrna Richards of Claresholm, Alberta and Larry & Mary Jo Richards of Dresden; 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; one sister Lela Wells of Dresden and one sister-in-law Leato Clark of Regina, Sask. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by daughter Leah and her husband Stewart McDonald; three brothers: Reverdy, Lloyd and Lorne (Bill) Richards; one sister Velma Burns; two grandchildren. Visitors were received at the THOMAS L. DEBURGER FUNERAL HOME, 620 Cross Street, Dresden on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, January 30, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Collin Paterson and Mr. Ken Richards officiating. Interment was in Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice were appreciated by the family. During the service, soloist Mrs. Nancy Hughson sang 'In the Garden' and 'Beyond the Sunset' accompanied by organist Mrs. Beth Wilson. Pallbearers were Kevin, Barry and Doug Richards, Peter Chapple, Brad and Barry McDonald.
Mrs. Josephine Rondeau a longtime resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Monday, February 1, 1999 at the Lee Manor Nursing Home in Owen Sound at the age of 83. Mrs. Rondeau was born in Glasgow, Scotland and was a daughter of the late Patrick Boyle and Bridget McGinty. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg. Loving mother of Lyn Rondeau of Owen Sound and kind sister of Delores Martin of Surrey B.C. Friends will be received at the ERIC F. NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday from Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. John Pirt, Celebrant. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Alzheimers Society may be left at the funeral home. As an everlasting memorial a tree will be planted in Nichills Memorial Forest in memory of Josephine Rondeau.
ALFRED JOSEPH GOUDREAU
Mr. Alfred 'Fred' Joseph Goudreau a resident of Wallaceburg and formerly of R.R. 1 Croton passed away on Sunday, January 31, 1999 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Sydenham Campus Wallaceburg at the age of 75 years. Fred was born in Wallaceburg, and was a son of the late Alphage (Pete) Goudreau and Idella Dubuque. He had owned and operated Goudreau Stables at R.R. 1 Croton. He was a member of Holy Family Church in Wallaceburg, he was currently a Trustee of the Knights of Columbus Council #2102 in Wallaceburg. He was a member of Branch #18 Royal Canadian Legion and was also a member of the Ontario Horsemen Federation. Beloved husband of Geraldine (Skinner) Goudreau of Wallaceburg and the late Jacqueline (Foster) Goudrea (1986). Loving father of Nickie and her husband Phil Kinnamon of Arkansas, the late Shelly Goudreau (1982) and his wife Michelle Goudreau of New York. Dear brother of Rita Szogi of Wallaceburg. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Shelly Jr., and Bill and his great granddaughter Brooke. Kind step father of Sharon and Gary Smith and Sue and Broni Talach all of Wallaceburg. Caring step grandfather of Jacalyn, Dan, Mark, Jamie and Lindsey and step great grandfather of Halley. Predeceased by two brothers Edward (1991) and Victor (1996). The late Mr. Fred Goudreau rested at the ERIC F. NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg until Wednesday, February 3, 1999 (today) when the funeral proceeded to Holy Family Church for the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Wilhelm, Celebrant. The Pallbearers were his grandsons Shelly Jr., and Bill, his step grandchildren Mark and Dan and his steps sons Gary and Broni. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Ontario. The Knights of Columbus prayers were held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home. As an everlasting memorial a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Alfred ³Fred² Joseph Goudreau.
MADELINE 'ANNA' HELEN SEYS
Mrs. Madeline 'Anna' Helen Seys a resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Monday, January 25, 1999 at the LaPointe-Fisher Nursing Home at the age of 68. Anna was born in Wallaceburg and was a daughter of the late Hector DeWolf and Leontine DeVriese. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg and had worked at Waltec Components as a Quality Controller. Beloved wife of 42 years to Emiel Seys. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Gail and Patrick Lucier of Port Lambton, Lana and Jeff Miller of Wallaceburg, and Dale Seys and Monica of Wilkesport. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Joshua, Jessica, Matthew and Melissa. Sister and sister-in-law of Mary and Jack Bachus of Wallaceburg, Marshall and Annabelle DeWolf of Port Lambton, George and Jennie DeWolf of Wallaceburg, Margaret Lauzon of Port Lambton, Maurice and Pat DeWolf of Port Lambton and Shirley DeWolf of Wallaceburg. Predeased by a sister Suzanna Simpson and a brother Andrew DeWolf. The late Mrs. Seys rested at the ERIC F. NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg until Wednesday, January 27, 1999 when the funeral proceeded to Our Lady Help of Christians Church for the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. John Pirt, Celebrant. Mrs. Frances Fraleigh presided at the organ and the church choir sang the Mass. Pallbearers were Pat Lucier, Jeff Miller, Randy Wiser, Mike Reagan, Scott Dubuque and Dave Demers. Flower Bearers were her four grandchildren. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Parish Prayers were offered at the funeral home Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Alzheimers Society may be left at the funeral home. As an everlasting memorial a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Madeline²Anna² Helen Seys.
