GROVES - Phyllis Elaine of Port Stanley, on Monday, January 3, 2000, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 65th year. Beloved wife of John William Groves and dearly loved mother of Wilma Horton of St. Thomas, Michael and his wife Donelda Groves of St. Thomas, Connie Wilson of Port Stanley and Sherry and her husband David Pineo of Aylmer. Dear sister of Marion and her husband Morley Robinson of Nova Scotia, Betty and her husband Ken Findlater of London, Barb and her husband Ron Johnson, Richard and his wife Carol Bolt, Paul and his wife Barb Bolt, John and his wife Betty-Jean Bolt, David and his wife Darlene Bolt all of Port Stanley, Danny and his wife Dawn Bolt, of St. Thomas and Wally and his wife Carol Bolt of London. Loved grandmother of Tammy Taylor, Bradley Marsh, Joe Groves, Jeremy Groves, Paul Wilson and Dylan Pineo and great grandmother of Brandon, Jonathon and Alysa Taylor and Michael Groves. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the spring in Christ Church Cemetery, Port Stanley. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Celiac Association. A donation will be made to the Memory Gardens of Pinafore Park in remembrance of Mrs. Groves.
HUBER - At his residence on Monday, January 3rd, 1999. Fritz "Fred" Huber of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Bernice (Ireland) Huber (November 1991) and dearly loved father of Pat and her husband Fred Morfee; Mike and his wife Pam Huber and Jack and his wife Sue Huber all of St. Thomas. Loved grandfather of Becky and Mike Morfee, Chris and Brooke Huber and Jessica and Andy Huber. Dear brother of Frank Huber, Regina and Otto Huber, Toronto. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St. St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow at the Mount Pleasant Crematorium, London. Visitation Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Valleyview Home, St. Thomas. A donation will be made to the Memory Garden at Pinafore Park in Remembrance of Fred.
KUNZ - Larry Wayne. Died peacefully at home after a long and courageous struggle with Multiple Sclerosis on Friday, December 31, 1999, Larry Wayne Kunz. Left behind with precious memories, wife Carol and daughter Leslie in St. John's; and Larry's family in Ontario: son Timothy, daughter Tawnya, grandsons Brandon and Breton, devoted mother Eleanor, brother Ronald and wife Maryann, sisters Sandra and husband Larry Chamberlain and Brenda Jenereaul. Larry also leaves his "Nfld" family: Jim and Annie Hussey, Ruth and Bruce Tilley, Judy and Bruce Shelswell (London), Barbara Hussey, Ken and Evelyn Hussey, Eric Hussey (Houston), Rick Harnum, Nancy and Wayne Murphy as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends in Nfld and Ontario. Funeral services were held in St. John's, NF, followed by cremation. A memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas, Ontario on Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. followed by burial at Orwell Cemetery, Orwell, Ontario. Flowers gratefully declined. The family would appreciate donations in Larry's memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
CHARLTON - At Caressant Care, 15 Bonnie Place on Thursday, December 30, 1999. Stanley Arthur Charlton of St. Thomas in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 67 years to Dorothy (Utman) Charlton. Dear father to Donald Charlton and wife Eve of Thorndale. Loving grandfather of Ken Charlton and wife Donna of St. Thomas. Predeceased by his parents Simon Peter and Sarah Alberta (Hewer) Charlton; a brother Ross Charlton and a sister Mildred Froud. The funeral service was held on Monday, January 3, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. Interment took place in Springfield Cemetery. Rev. Clarke Dixon officiated. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer 773-8400.
