Peacefully at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by her family on Monday December 21, 2009 of Marion Christina Jay (nee MacLean ) of Charlottetown and formerly of East Royalty in her 91st year. Wife of the late Garfield Jay. Mother of Velda (Ken) Shaw, Elwin, Arlie, Mervin (Susie) and Reuben. Grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sister of Mildred Lord, sister-in-law of Martha MacLean.

Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Thursday from Zion Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. If so desired memorials to Zion Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Daniel Harris MacLeod
1907-2009

Peacefully at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday December 24, 2009 of Daniel Harris MacLeod of Charlottetown and formerly of Hopefield age 102 years. Husband of 65 years of Phyllis Campbell MacLeod. Father of Verna (Bob) Delahunt, Leamon (Florence) MacLeod and Gerald (Sharon) MacLeod. Grandfather of Danny, Kimberley, Roberta, Gary, Mark Brenda, Cathy , Matthew, Ryan and Hayley. Great grandfather of 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Brother of Zelda Perry, brother-in-law of Lillian MacLeod and Nanette Trainor. Son of the late Donald A. and Rachel Matheson MacLeod. Predeceased by his first wife Catherine Morrow MacLeod, sisters Katie Belle, Christie, Nellie, brothers James, Harry, Simon and Edison.

Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Little Sands Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so desired memorials to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

Peacefully at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday December 27, 2009 of Robert E. Younker of Charlottetown age 85 years. Veteran of World War II. Beloved husband of Phyllis (MacFadyen). Dear father of Bob (Donna), Colin (Debbie), Bill (Janet), Betty Anne (Dale Inder) and Fred (Marion). Loving Papa of Andrew (Nadia Scantlebury), Kathryn, Jessica; Ben, Matthew, Colby; Jennifer (Craig) Gibson, Billy; Katie (Mitchell) Jollimore, Colin, Mary Beth, Maria and Laura. Great grandfather of Drew Gibson. Brother of Florence (Parker predeceased) Newson, and Roy (Margaret) Younker. Predeceased by his parents Owen and Elizabeth Younker. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dear mother of Deborah (Kent) MacRae, Sheldon (Andrea) and Derek (Melanie). Nanny of Chelsea, Lexi, Steph, Zach, Josh, Jacob and Drew. Sister of Leonard and Joseph Kuniski. Predeceased by her parents Sophie and Joseph Kuniski.

The death occurred at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday December 15, 2009 of Dorothy M. Profitt (nee Allen) of Charlottetown age 89 years. Beloved wife of Wendell. Dearest mother of Judy (Ron Hughes) and Dr. Allen (Susan) Profitt. Cherished grandmother of Chelsea and Jordan. Loving sister of Dr. Lloyd (Virginia) Allen and Kathleen (James predeceased) Oakley. Sister-in-law of Georgie (Walter) Simmons and Rowan (Muriel predeceased) Profitt. Daughter of the late Dr. Harry and Kathleen Allen. Niece of the late Richard S. (Eleanor) Hinton.

Peacefully at The Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Saturday July 10, 2010 of Margaret M. Hurry of West Royalty and formerly of Brackley Beach, age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late James Eric Hurry. Survived by sisters Dorothy Ramsay, Susan (Lorne) Wood and brothers Alex (Joyce), Stanley (the late Elsie) and Eddy (Norma) Murray. Predeceased by her parents May and Gordon Murray, sisters Hilda (Raymond) Sellick and Marina MacKay, brothers Blythe, Archie, Alfred, Brad and Lorne Murray. Survived by sisters-in-law Phyllis, Beverley, Shirley, Isabel and Catherine and brother-in-law Robert MacKay.

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, December 17, 2010 of Gracie Jean King. Precious daughter of Christian and Sarah King, beloved sister of Emma and twin brother Landan. Gracie is the beloved granddaughter of Edmund and Jean Kelly, Stratford and John and Patricia King, Springhill, NS. Sadly missed by aunt Krista Kelly Fraser, Souris and uncles David Fraser and Jonathan King, as well as special cousins Reilly and Georgia Fraser. A special great-granddaughter to Mary Kelly (Sherwood) and Dorothy King (NS).

A private family service will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010 from Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Stratford. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the IWK Childrenís Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel, Charlottetown.
