Cherished Bubby of Steven and Sarena Safran, Brandee Safran; Gila and Ben, Ariel and fiancée Lauren, Amiad and fiancée Tali, Yakira, and Yigal all of Israel. Proud “Big Bubby” of Nadav, Emily, and Evan Sarid; Shane, Isaac, and Ben Safran; Kerem and Ayala of Israel. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Isak and Helen Blitzer, Susan and the late Arno Schreier, David and Sima Blitzer, the late Moishe and the late Sarah Blitzer. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Nonnie (Anne Nora) and Harvey Shaffer, Dr. Mark and Frima Fenster, and the late Susan Fenster Leader. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie and Andrew Blum, Ian and Hayley Shaffer, Michelle and Joel Sisk, Jeffrey and Brittney Fenster. Proud great-grandmother of Emerson, Gwyneth, Erin, Sabrina, Shirya, Tamar, Olivia and Mya. Predeceased by her dear siblings, Lil Turner, Lou Cohen, William Cohen (the late Rita). Survived by her sister-in-law, Estelle Cohen. Predeceased by Jack’s siblings and their spouses, Carrye and Charles Kandestin, Helene and Saul Witchell, Fanny and Hyman Garber, Gertrude and Louis Shain, Estelle and Myer Gameroff, Joseph and Edna Fenster, Seymour and Coral Fenster, Dorothy and Saul Kugler, and Moishe Fenster. The family would like to thank the staff of the Kastner Pavilion at the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their care and compassion. Very proud great-grandmother of Noah Weinberg and Jonah Weinberg, step-great-grandmother of Gabrielle and Shoshana Lynfield, Gilly and Abby Salwen. Suddenly, on Shabbat, Friday, November 14, 2014, at the age of sixty-two, after a courageous battle with cancer. Most cherished and beloved husband of Marcia Zidulka Gruber. Adored father and father-in-law of David and Lisa Zlotnick, Tuvi Zlotnick and fiancée Jessica Haddad, Judy and Yosef Birnboim, Sarah and Michael Bybelezer, and Josh Zlotnick. Most loving and beloved Zaidy of Adira, Hallel, Amiel, Mia, Kayla, Ben, Daniel and Jacob. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Zalman and Tzirel Zlotnick, and treasured brother-in-law of Michael and Wendy Gruber, Kalman and Shirley Gruber. Son of the late Rabbi Jacob and the late Sarah Zlotnick. Twin brother of the late Judith Zlotnick.
