GREENBERG, Eddie. Peacefully, in Toronto, on Friday, February 13, 2015, in his ninetieth year. Loving husband of the late Naomi Cohen. Cherished father and father-in-law of Dr. Suzanne and Stephen Karr, and the late Mark Greenberg. Proud Zaidie of Michelle, Carolyn, and Jonathan Karr. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Sonia and the late Al Cutler, and the late Irving Greenberg; and brother-in-law of Moishe and Beatrice Cohen, the late Zelda and the late Scottie Stotland, the late Issie and the late Layah Cohen, the late Eve and the late Hal Simkover. Heartfelt thanks to his devoted caregivers Wendell, Remy, Wilbert and the staff of Terrace Gardens. POLANSKY, Yhetta (nee Glassman). May 21, 1916 – February 10, 2015. In her ninety-ninth year, on Tuesday evening, February 10, 2015, at Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Yhetta was the proud mother and mother-in-law of Hyman Polansky and the late Lea Polansky, Dr. Harry Polansky, Sheldon and Sharon Polansky. Grandmother of Cheryl Polansky, Eden Polansky-Flomen; David, Melissa and Elana Polansky; Rabbi Erin Polansky, Samara Starkman. Great-grandmother to Matthew, Jason and Daniel Freder; Lola and Elijah Flomen; Reuben, Ephram and Harli Polonsky; Jack and Micah Starkman. A strong and determined lady, one of six siblings, survived by her brother, Bill Glassman and sister, Evelyn Goldstein. “Little” Bubby will fondly be remembered for her quick wit, her sense of humour, her dancing, her amazing memory and uncanny ability to solve any crossword puzzle. Gerry leaves his wife and best-friend of forty-seven years, France; his cherished daughter Dina Medicoff (Dennis Sander) of Vancouver, B.C.; and his adored grandchildren, Seamus, Benjamin, Oren, and Adam.
